  1. You can't make this stuff up. I don't understand why they don't just ban spectators for this game if they are so concerned???
  2. Let's say one of them does contract covid from a Collingwood player. What is a 2 day iso with a negative test going to prove? Isn't it true that some people may not test positive til days later l, hence the 14 day quarantine periods (which in themselves don't seem sufficient)
  3. A doctor of journalism!
  4. Could bring forward the WCE/Tigers game in its place so the Tigers have to spend one less week in Perth. Win/win.
  5. That's true, I was more referring to his trip into NSW. Waiting a week to get tested and travelling around while symptomatic was idiotic.
  6. "The person, who reported the onset of symptoms on May 25, drove back to Melbourne on May 24 and got tested on May 31. Victoria's stay-at-home measures took effect on May 27." https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-06-01/jervis-bay-and-goulburn-on-alert-melbourne-covid-19-case/100183084 Not sure the person did much wrong, just bad luck.
  7. The website is shizen and it's Ticketmasters fault, not the club's. Best bet is to call (if you can) next best option would be an email but I emailed an enquiry about purchasing a GF guarantee for my son a few weeks back and had no response so just called up and got it sorted over the phone
  8. I think it is definitely confidence with him, you could see how frustrated he was when he dropped that mark that led to Jordon's goal. Check the replay of that goal and you'll see Weideman clearly angry at dropping a relatively straightforward mark. The problem is that when you're down on confidence or missing some easy marks like that you start to try too hard and it is counterproductive. He needs to focus on the basics and get into his flow mindset rather than just pushing himself to try harder. Focus on the basics and the rest will take care of itself. Focus on hitting packs and bringing the ball to ground for our crumbers, focus on the second efforts once the ball hits the ground (tackling, blocking for the smaller forwards) focus on working hard defensively when the opposition has the footy. Do this and he'll prove his worth to the team; kick a couple of goals each week when they present as well like they did in the 3rd quarter against the dogs and he'll prove to be a valuable contributor to the team.
  9. SCG may have 3 other games this weekend, 4 games would make it very choppy by Sunday
  10. I'd assume its more likely they're trying to negotiate whether we can get into Queensland
  11. Collingwood also hosted ANZAC Day this year, so if they give up Queens Birthday next year it means they would be in the same situation we are currently in (2 blockbusters one year, 0 the next)
  12. Surely we could move a game later in the year there. There's nothing to say it has to be this week, we could play Hawks or GWS there.
  13. So we could start alternating next year potentially if we keep Queens Bday and Richmond hosts ANZAC Eve in 2022. Collingwood would have to agree though which would be a hard sell I would imagine especially considering the likely revenue losses this year with their poor crowds.
  14. North tried to sell a home game to WCE last year I think and the AFL said no
  15. How did you think Rivers went od? I was really happy with his attack on the footy and his ability to defend and stand up in contests, he's coming along real nicely I think and great to see him rewarded with a rising star nomination
  16. You're confident we'll have full crowds back at the G in September? I bloody hope so but nothing would surprise me.
  17. We only lost to Brisbane by 3 points last year didn't we?
  18. They should bring the WCE/Richmond game forward a week and shift our game vs the Pies to round 14. We would lose the game being on queen's birthday but with no crowd it doesn't matter anyway. This way Richmond gets to spend a week less in Perth and we have the chance to play the Pies at the G.
  19. Sure but when will they let crowds back?
  20. I've moved on to worrying about whether we'll get to see the Demons at the G in September ?
  21. I can't believe this isnt happening already
  22. They don't hate us, they just don't respect us.
  23. The probability that we won't have crowds back by queen's bday so will lose out on that revenue again
  24. Excellent suggestion with some lateral thinking - exactly why the AFL would never consider it.
  25. We play the Pies 10 days later We would have to FIFO but pretty sure the Lions could go the day before so would have a better prep
