First thing is first, we will not make finals. I can tell you the coaching team were extremely pleased with aspects of our team defence which has barely been spoken about on here. Watch the North game again and have a look how many times they had to slow the play down, kick sideways and take risks because we defended as a team. North had so many more possessions because they had to mess around with the ball at the back, and we pushed forward slowly and created pressure. Forget the kicking, forget breaking the lines, this is the base of our game and Neeld has improved the team....the rest will come. Other positives: Jack Watts has developed into a player who can defend well, counter attack well and find the ball extremely well. Another 2 years and he can become similar to Goddard, maybe not as good but close. We actually beat North if you don't count the extra 3 points they got for the super goal. For christ sakes!!! WE BEAT NORTH AT ETIHAD...there is a massive improvement.

I don't know what all the fuss is about on Boak? A good solid player but nothing special. Doesn't kick a lot of goals or lay a lot of tackles. He can find the ball but again his averages are not huge and haven't gone up from 3 or 4 years ago. Going on his stats he seems to have peaked.

Colin is playing a lock down role and being taught the defensive side of the game. When he learns this he will be let loose like he use to but with a defensive framer of mind.

Sometimes I shake my head at the things you write. Talent incorporates his ability to run long and hard (get to more contests). It involves reading the play and understanding where to be to get the ball. From juniors Jones has always had talent and plenty of it, for some reason your perception has changed on him. You also seem to underestimate his evaisive skills and ability to kick goals, and great ones at that. My point is Jones has plenty of talent, you just seem to associate a hard nosed hard working player with that of less talent and more 'heart'.

Have a listen to you lot. Relax and get over what he said, your making it bigger then it ever was. We are 1-9 and you are all having a crack at him as if all our issues have been solved, but we are still a bad team.

Biased I know, but the boy has lifted in his last two game. Main point is the kid layed 2 massive tackles on Mcevoy and dropped him, 5 tackles in total. Whilst he doesn't look much bigger, the kids core strength it really getting there. Bench bench and fly laterals improved by 22% from last years pre-season. Clearance work was great and looked hungry, KEEP it going SON!!!

So much rubbish. Just pick the best player available, which will be a mid. FORGET about pace, just find a midfielder who can win the ball and find the ball. If he has pace well its a bonus. So much crap about pace and athleticism etc etc bla bla bla. Just find me the best dam FOOTBALLER with a good football brain.

Correct, I should also add Morton to this. Although he still lacked some polish, we saw some positives and yet people get on here and bash him. In times gone by Morton would not have kicked that goal in traffic. He would have just stuck in on the boot with no presence of mind but this time he had awareness to take the game on and have a good snap at goal with lots of pressure around him.

Some of you have no clue. In the second half Dunn kept Rob Murphy to 6 touches, he is a very classy player and the bulldogs look to use him at all times. Dunn's main job was to shut down Murphy, his second priority was to sneak in a few goals which he did not. Good second half for Dunn and a job well done.

What I was pointing out is that although Trengove does not have pace, he can still be a brilliant player like the ones I named.

Boyd? Pendlebury? Selwood? Goddard? Mitchell? none have pace.
