Do you even actually consider what you are saying? 10 kg lol....If you had any idea of the mechanics of a human body, and the science that goes into it, you would realise how stupid this comment is. Understand that a player like Jack who has been in the system this long, with his frame, would be as low as he can with his fat percentage. Any weight gains would be purely muscle. 3-4kg of muscle would be considered a large amount. Adding anywhere around 7-8kg would put massive strain on his joints, and cause complete havoc.

Would just like to make a post in appreciation to the club, and a friend who works in Membership, Brooklyn. I took a friend from Germany who has never seen AFL to watch Melbourne defeat the Crows. We both got to help raise the banner which was also great experience for her on the night. My friend is currently backpacking in Melbourne before starting University in Australia. The Club has organised two free tickets and something signed by a player for the game Saturday night. This is greatly appreciated, and they have now secured a life long supporter and member form here on in. Thanks MFC and Brooklyn.

Some of you are pathetic, you let your emotion cloud your judgement. I went to the game on the weekend, and Dunn was fantastic, he is one of only a handful that had a presence on the ground. Watching him 1 v 1 on the ground was impressive, really backs into his opponents hard and annoys them all day. Just because we are having a terrible year, you are all happy to throw everyone in the same category......unless they are a young talented messiah, which you all love to pin your hopes on.

Just wanted to make a few quick comments on the young lad as I went to the game yesterday and watched closely. Firstly, I couldn't believe people were giving him 6 votes in Demonland of year. The kid had low 20's disposal and had no presence in the game physically. 3 different times he shot out a quick handball to a player who was under super pressure, just so he would not get crunched in the tackle. The good: To me, he looks exactly like a Steele Sidebottom type, smart with skills. The kids is a natural ball finder, and creates space with his run. A couple of times he run really hard down into the absolute last line of defence to cover which was pleasing. His tackling has improved slightly and the floppyness in his physicality has gone, but the kid just needs a few pre-season to bulk up, gets crunched easily. Anyway no need to worry with this lad, he will be a player, but is still 2 years off.

Rodan is defined by his poor games. His entire career he has games where he pulls out a 10-12 possession game, that is just not good enough for a midfielder. He has done that 2-3 times this year. His good days are awesome, but he needs t lift his poor games into something of decent standard.

DON"T FORGET.......when we were at our worst, and at the very bottom, DEAN TERLICH stood up as was one of our best. We are still at our bottom, but when the day comes and we work our way up the ladder, this bloke started it.

Cleary a lot of you do not take interest in cycling, the fans and the industry and so behind. ASADA will determain the penalty, not the AFL. ASADA will crack down, and crack down hard.....Essendon are goners.

WOW! We are desperate for any sign of a player at all arn't we. He had one good half where he made space and was able to find the football that is all, mind you this is exactly what we need. Also did have injury issues during the pre-season so that does take it's tole. BUT.....Jimmy is a long way from being comfortable at AFL level. 2 main issues: 1: Tackling is poor. If the player is moving Jimmy does not have the strength to tackle just with him arms, he is brushed off to easily. 2: Core strength. To many times he is pushed out of a contest, both on the ground and in a marking contest. WHEN he builds on this over several pre-seasons, then you will see Jimmy Toumpas.

Dean Terlich is one of the few players who, when he see's a player in trouble or under pressure, runs as fast a possible to help out.....also why he has some turnovers because he is always in the most pressured situations. Dean also is one of the quickest thinkers in the team under pressure. The main point is the he is hunts the ball, and wants the ball....so few in the team do this, hence why we get smashed in the possesions each week. Genuine 150 + player.

JIMMY TOUMPAS HAS BEEN THE WORST START TO A CAREER I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME. He can't lay a tackle, always looks limp in the body. Given up 2 goals purely from him lack of impact on two contests. The can kick a ball, just needs to get the pill. All up from here.

If he is the middle one, then I agree, he shouldn't be. This is exactly what we do wrong as supporters, put all our hopes on these poor young kids.

5 minutes into the second Q, and for the first time I can remember I turned off the football. The worry is that I am not even that frustrated, I just don't give a crap anymore.... Christ all mighty, how many times did I see our kicks smothered today when they shouldn't have been. How stupid are these players? Frawley does it without fail almost every game and 3 times today. Nicholson, Grimes and Garland also do it all the time. They leave their kicks to the last minute and if its not smothered then their kicks are under pressure. SIMPLE LITTLE THINGS!!!!!!!
