If I remember correctly, Richmond's last premiership was 27 years ago. Ours was 43 years ago. Hell of a difference.
Also, you seem to have missed my point. Richmond have been consistently "bad" for 20+ years; they're not "up and down". They havnt set any standards.
Melbourne hasn't been "bad" for the entire time without a premiership, but the past 20 years have been disappointing; they NEVER live up to what they're thought to. They touch what people say they should reach, and then fall off the ladder. That's disappointment. To me, Richmond and Melbourne are on different wave lengths. Richmond always have the expectations of being a mediocre football club, whereas we are expected to be the inconsistent club that never achieves what it should. To me, Melbourne is the more disappointing.
