  1. I think Weide will play Tuesday,,, and I have the feeling TMC will play the following match against the bummers with Weide back at Casey.
  2. why for saying our gameplan is not as it was 11 years ago junior... you must start taking your angry pills jMc new playing list. And new coach means new game-styles, which also will change as the new coach keeps up with trends.
  3. Yes exactly these days they always are. being tinkered with. How many players are left from 11 Yrs back. maybe 2 ? we are a young side now with more talent in the casey team looking to the future and the AFL has changed enormously since 2007.
  4. No Tmac & Weide, when hogan is onball... tracca at chf on that rotation. When Hogan is key tall, its it's & either TMc or Weide in there. 2 talls have to play high, up toward midfield. taking marks in the midfield. a 2man tall backhalf, Lever and OMc. I'd be rotating in an ideal world, all of Petracca Hogan TMC and Weide thru the Mid zone, at given stages; either as rucks or R/Rovers accordingly.
  5. We at Melbourne do not value midfield marking anywhere near enough. we look for runners only. Midfield marks are crucial to ease pressure, and to reset play, going into 50. I'm hoping this will eventually be Weide's forte.
  6. spot on RN. this a is a demons issue, club wide. We have to look to getting some centre-line players who are strong in the air,,, as well as with the legs, and feet. I don't think Our game plan is solidified just yet. WE seem to be searching and adjusting, nip here tuck there to see which balance suits us. I expect more experimenting this season as we churn our list, introducing more into the senior team. I think we will make the lower part of the top just. we are still in a transition phase, Re list and maturity.
  7. Forward pocket, alongside Weide. Rotating in the ruck and tutoring Weide. Weide should not be left one out tall in the forward zone. ( Hogan, TMc, Tracca, Gawn ) The 3 of them can rotate the ruck, with Hogan playing high, & R/R. But we need speed in the side to offset this setup.
  8. LoL... sounds like your out WerriBee. Heyana's and jackass's ?
  9. was this at training MR ? he's changed his spots,,, and the beard's gawn again !
  10. IF that's the case we might see the Weide this week against the Tiges, for one game? Then go back to continue his development with Casey, when TMc comes in? We have to go in full strength against the Tiges in the blockbuster game. "fresh legs"... YEP absolutely. there might be many changes for the bummers game. Then 5 days later the bummers, so I think many runners will come into the side, as we rest plenty.
  11. I agree Balls that we are off form some whet, but still winning games, or in place to win, if things go our way. However against the hawks we collapsed under close pressure of the ball holder &/or around the ball. We have to learn to cope with this sort of pressure. The whole club,,, as it also effected our women as well. 'We' seem to struggle club wide, with in close checking, after we've won the ball;,,, we cough it up under pressure, or get caught. This is key area I want to see us get stronger in. I think if we can workout or structure around centreline, going forward with the ball and this area around the contest under pressure, we will go a long way. Not so bothered with our forwards at the moment, because I think its the midfield that we need to become slicker/stronger in our ball management & use. Why is it we seem to struggle more than most clubs do in this specific area, under pressure. IMO, this has caused us premierships, in past eras.
  12. Tyson for Lewis Hannan for Harmes Hunt for Melksham TSmith for Bugg

  14. SO Eddie has been the driver of all the redevelopment ideas of the MCG Southern Stand, and the concourse above Brunton Avenue to Richmond Station, and a covering over of the rail-lines. Has he SAM ??? Has he indeed! So bigh ead was busy on this, all the way back to 2011 - 2014. whata prophet is Ed.
  15. Well lets hope he's lay'd claim to all of them then. We might need the whole family yet.
  16. Glass chins, never get stronger. Just like 2 chins, they never return to singularity.
  17. Yes, I realise that. he lived around Sandringham I think. the point remains IF he wants to go West, I'd be Open to that happening. if we were compensated rightly.
  18. That was the hawks pressure and our clubs collective panic, setting in. The Melbourne Yips, is what i'm talking about. (that here we go again thing) We have to work on 'cutting it', from all our minds. because what it does is magnify the pressure our players feel out there. They do indeed sense it. the fear/negativity. All Demons must learn to NOT Fear.
  19. I'd be open to that if Angus wanted to go home West. If he wanted to do that, I would be open to trade. Also there is no guarantee on his health, in future seasons.
  20. Because its so hard to rebuild and regain confidence in today's footy..... without 1/2 the team full of experienced seniors who know how to penetrate the press. Its a LOT more difficult today's footy Re the press, for young teams,,, to learn and succeed with these structures in place. Nowhere near the 80's 90's where the game was open for creativity. It was a natural flowing game, where youngsters could show their skills in one on ones, or in space before they grew big powerful bodies. They only struggled against bigger bodied players on the occasions. At that same time, young teams likewise, could do well usually until later in the season, when the big boys came out to play. Then the young sides would fall away, as the mature players took over. This was much better for supporters who were left with a sense of hope for the future, real hope. Today's press aids the already experienced power clubs to maintain there advantage in the top half of the ladder, so re-emerging clubs really struggle, as they lose senior players from their list, and fill up on juniors. So with this in mind, its super important for us to re-energise our young players on match-days,,,,, and to not tear them down during the game. If we must be negative at all,,, leave it until we get home after the game, and/or thru the early part of the the week. That's the time to question the players or the running of the club. We can help the team on match-days when at the game,,, by maintaining a True Positive Aggressive Mood amongst our supporters; ,,, and be real negative and distracting AT the Opposition. NOT at our own players. The days of soft players taking short steps and refusing to chase has past, and they have left the Building. .... reserve that hostility for the odd occasion when someone comes in and will not honor the jumper. Like I said. those type players have recently been weeded out, and moved on. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Because learning to penetrate the press successfully whilst being harassed like the Hawks did, is real tough to do for learning young players. I'm concerned our players will again develop a jittery underbelly, even those new guys who have recently arrived from other clubs. Getting the Yips can be a lasting curse in ones mind__ For individuals, and for young sides as well.... Its a learned negative Habit, that is as bad and difficult as a full on smoking addiction. WE do NOT want to add to the pressure on our Players on Game-Days, because they're confidence and belief in themselves can be Damaged. And it can become an ongoing negative in their minds. We really need this group to experience a 'KILL' a number of so called kills, for want of a better analogy. They need to get the sniff of Enemy blood in their nostrils. They need to get the taste for it. So going off at our players/team on game days,,, right now,,, as we have some very good young players, who are struggling to find form, and more-so, confidence and belief, is the wrong thing to do. They are trying to develop the confidence/faith.... both in themselves, and also in one another as a team, to grow, and to carry out the team plans. Our Support and Positive Aggression Via our Voices,,,,, is absolutely Crucial for them right now... this Year !!! .
  21. Its the clubs fault which includes us as we are the biggest and most constant part of the club. The off-field club culture/mood, has changed from our Power days of expecting a good fight/anticipating wins, to anticipating the worst as our default club mood. This causes us in the stands to swing too wildly from confident, to fear and anger and despair. wen the players themselves are starting to get anxious in a tight game the last thing they need is for us to add to their anxt. They need us to grow a pair and remain plenty aggressive for them. Instead of the old woe, here it comes again sort of mood. The players most definately do feel this, even if unawares as they battle away. It does effect their psyche, all footballers the same, from any clubs feel it. Its just with US Demons, that we have been down so long as a club, we supporters find it so hard to remain steadfast in our Positivity about our team. Our players are battling their own anxieties, without us going negative on them during the game. We add to their negativity battle. We supporters, need some aggressive resistance to our own negative thoughts, when at the game.
  22. What i'm talking about has nothing to do with social media... but rather putting out a positive aggressive mental attitude in support of our players, when at the ground. Many club supporters are too ready to become fearful of another loss coming on, inwardly, privately;.,,, rather than feeling like attacking the current game head on, even when we are behind, and the opponents are forging. I don't think you understand what I'm getting at timbo. It's not words... its the "tone' of the support that reacts with players minds subconsciously. Nothing to do with words,,, which the players mostly do not tune into. They'd be unaware of words more often than not. Its the underlying tone which carries with it, the 'mood.
