Hopefully it's similar to the market value of Jolly when he left. I was very suprised with the draft pick we received for him, although in hindsight it hasn't worked out our way. But at the time I thought it was a good deal.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they have for the last few seasons, his stocks would have dropped a bit though. I'd be interested to see what they would offer for a former top 20 pick. If Bell does go will then be interesting to discuss whether the Woewodin deal was worth it in the end. As Bell was the draft pick we obtained in that deal.
  3. Haha, makes it all the more exciting for the years to come!
  4. Dissapointed wont get to see Jack again this year but there's plenty of time for him. Although again I would have liked to have seen him in the VFL finals. Looking forward to a forward line next year in round 1 of; HF: Sylvia, Bate, Petterd FF: Watts, Jurrah, Wonna

Ouch! No need to get personal, I was being sarcastic, of course Port wouldn't entertain a deal like that. I've got no doubt they'd be looking for a top 10 pick min.
  6. Built like Michael O'Loughlin Moves like Lance Franklin Ground skills of Aaron Davey Aerial skills of Russell Robertson Goal kicking skills of A. Jackovich
  7. Congrats Robbo Can see a new home for you at either St. Kilda, Geelong, Bulldogs or Carlton, I'm sure one of them will pick you up. First memory of Robbo was heading out to a Monday Night match at the G in 98' against the Swans, night Lockett kicked 3 to bring up his 100 for the year. This skinny kid pounced on a loose ball on our forward 50 line on a 45 degree angle late in the 3rd term and threw the ball onto his left towards goal (despite Lyon I think it was being 10 meters in the clear 30m out directly in front!), ball bounced about three times towards behind post before a wicked bounce sent it through the goals, and Robbo's celebration was almost something out of a soccer match. Put us about 20 points up and broke the Swans backs! Good luck for the next few years Robbo, and lets hope you can kick 5 goals in your last 2 games to pass Lyon and go 3rd on Melbourne's all time leading goal kickers list.

Jamar, Bell, Newton & Pick 34 to Port Boak to Carlton Carlton's first pick (as stands 13) to Melbourne. Gives us 4 top 20 picks. 1. Scully 2. Trengove 13. Panos 18. Jetta
  9. Hey folks, just thought I'd add I did just notice Yarran has been named as an emergency for this week so I'll grill my source a bit more about it tomorrow to try and confirm. Hopefully I haven't been fed a porky. If so I appologise.
  10. Just heard a rumor from a reliable source saying Yarran has walked out on Carlton. Being kept hush hush apparently. Looks like that might be a trade for them to West Coast or Fremantle. Both of whom I know aren't fans of trading with Carlton! hehe..... The blues have copped what they deserve if you ask me!
  11. Ditto on Commetti as a replacement on Grybas, he'd have to be the inventive/entertaining commentator going around!
  12. IN: Watts, Whelan OUT: Bartram, Miller FB: Frawley, Martin, Whelan HB: McNamara, Rivers, Cheney C: Morton, Sylvia, Davey HF: Watts, Bate, Jones FF: Jurrah, Robertson, Jetta FOLL: Spencer, Dunn, McLean INT: Johnson, McDonald, Petterd, Valenti
  13. Clinton Grybas & Tim Lane as match callers Garry Lyon special comments Tiffany Cherri boundary rider This would be the best line up for sure! Dwayne Russell & Matt Campbell match callers Malcolm Blight special comments Jason McCartney boundary rider Worlds worst line up!
  14. Fair enough, I can see your reasoning in that regard, as you said we just disagree on the issue. One things for certain it will be interesting to see just how active we are come trade week?
  15. Far to early to make that call, and I haven't seen anything to suggest that McNamara will even be a regular in our team yet let alone a better player then Rivers.
  16. The way I see it, if we're going to pick up Scully & Trengove picks 1 & 2 (2 midfielders), and we already have Grimes, Blease, Strauss, Davey, Morton, McLean & Jones (all midfielders). Then why on earth would we trade one of our KP defenders to get yet another midfielder? I know Boak is going to be good but Rivers is still our best defender IMO.
  17. Like your line of thinking in that regard. Reckon Alex Silvagni would be worth consideration. Can play back and forward KP and still young. He's had a very good year with Casey?
  18. No way! Never trading Rivers, he's the leader of our defence and with Rivers, Garland, Frawley, Warnock & Bennell all there we have a premiership defence in the waiting.
  19. While I agree he is a bit one paced I would have thought his skills were as good as any of our other midfielders. Apart from Davey & Grimes of course. With McDonald possibly hanging up the boots at seasons end he could be the ideal replacement.
  20. 1.Lloyd 2.Neitz 3.Hall 4.Richo 5.Grant 6.Rocca - A 7.O'Loughlin 8.Tredrea 9.Robbo 10.Lucas
  21. I agree he'd well and truely be worth a look. I know he's 28 but he'd help us start our climb up the ladder next year, possibly to as high as 10th! He'd also help take some of the pressure off Scully and Trengove.
  22. Matt Maguire being sought by Carlton & Hawthorn Daniel Kerr wants to play in Victoria Luke Ball possibly to Sydney Paul Haselby looks destined for the PSD Aaron Sandilands mentioned with Hawthorn Haven't heard any relating to Melbourne players or people wanting to be traded to Melbourne.
  23. I hope your right. Would love us to hang on to everyone that we can. Just think we should be prepared in case it does happened. As mentioned earlier I don't think anyone was prepared for Thompson walking out after 04 just as he was starting to establish himself.
  24. Sounds like the perfect PSD pick up if you ask me! Although bloody Carlton always seem to have a way of getting things done!
  25. FB: Frawley, Warncok, Bennell HB: Garland, Rivers, Grimes C: Morton, Scully(1), Davey HF: Sylvia, Watts, Maric FF: Jurrah, Panos(18), Wonna FOLL: Jamar, Trengove(2), McLean INT: Blease, Jones, Martin, Moloney EMERG: Bartram, Silvagni*, Strauss (1) = Pick 1 2009 ND (2) = Pick 2 2009 ND (18) = Pick 18 2009 ND * = Pick 1 2009 PSD Please note this team is based on assumption of Bruce retired end of 2010, Green retired end of 2011, Petetrd moved to Gold Coast end of 2010, Bate moved to West Sydney end of 2011. Fingers crossed Petetd and Bate stay put, but chances are we will loose at least one of our established players to the new franchises.
