Farewell Judd McVee
Why, on this forum that provides an incredible source of information ( I still remember the excitement I felt when I found DL over 10 years ago) do people insist on deriding comments made by contributors like Ghost Writer. Her insights along with a few (very few) others provide the tangible fuel that keeps this place valid. Remember that she is the one that committs to attending training sessions, reaching out to players and generally immersing herself in the club and is then generous enough to take time to post on DL. That alone is far more than can be said for almost all of the rest of us. My point is this; you may not agree with everything she says but my goodness her reporting comes from a more reliable place than most of our opinions. I don't know Ghosty but by jingoes I want to thank her for the work she does for our great club and this forum!!

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 9th December 2024
I was there this morning and don't have a heap to add except that Jeffo looks bigger and stronger than last year. He is a curious body shape, almost hunched making me wonder how tall he would be with a few Alexander technique classes. The most important thing I wanted to make was that he marks out in front of himself with fully extended arms which I love.

Lily Mithen off to the Suns?
Love Lily as a person (based on what I see of her in the media) and of course the grandad connection is great but i have often thought that apart from her desperation she lacks really top line skills. If she goes we get a great early pick and if she stays she is a one club player. On another note I saw something in the media about Tayla Harris looking to move on. I really rate her and would be disappointed if she were to move on. She makes us better when she is playing

Assuming we keep 5 & 9, who are you picking?
But to be fair, no one was saying that at the time. Elite outside ball user to complement the inside grunt of JV from memory. The 2012 draft was full of hits and misses wasn'nt it. Whitfield went number 1 and then after that apart from Grundie at late teens not much at all

How Chris Scott differs from other AFL coaches
Not sure if this has been said but by joingoes the guy is good at selecting blame after a loss. He did it against us in 21 and has blamed Covid again last night. You lost mate, suck it up

get it sorted this side of pre-season so I don't have to hear the phrase "pre-season-from-hell" two years in a row- Welcome to Demonland: Max Gawn
Love reading some excellent posts from the first page of this thread. Keyser soze's possibly did not age well but the rest were on the money!- Christian Petracca
I was in hospital for a week with appendicitis and no one from work visited me. I am happy to say that I am still at my place of work!- Christian Petracca
From memory Jesse Hogan's and Tom Scully's threads are the only ones to rival the growth in this one. I go away for a day and it has grown by another 20 pages!- The Josh Smillie Thread
Have heard great things about him which are reinforced by the highlight package. Yes please- Email from Peter Lawrence
The club sent an email regarding this a week or so ago. They advised that they were legally required to provide members email details.- Christian Petracca
With the Red Fox's blessing tobe fair- Christian Petracca
The sociopath in me says trade him out. As long as it involves 2 first rounders and a player that suits our needs I am fine with him going. I love the guy but he is obviously unhappy and who is to say that he will return to his best form any time soon. He has diminished his standing in my eye with his communication methodology of late but when all is said and done he may provide the kick start we need in our rebuild. We would build an excellent base with 3 first round picks in one of the most highly touted drafts in recent times.- TRAINING: Thursday 22 August 2024
Thanks Walking, I am not a prolific poster but am most definitely an avid consumer of your training reports. You paint a wonderful picture without any pretentions to knowing what is going on inside the club. This to me is what makes your posts so special. Enjoy the Men's offseason and revel in the Women's!! - Christian Petracca
