  1. I have a theory, when the sub is named the afl.com.au team positions update to show the official team sheet including starting positions. Check it out.
  2. Brayshaw starting in the guts, trac forward
  3. Is harmes an automatic selection? I think brayshaw returning to the midfield keeps him out or in the sub role.
  4. The afl.com.au line up now has gus starting in the guts. The updated line up when sub is named is usually accurate as it is based on final teamsheet.
  5. It's such a mixed bag... if offered 13 wins and second spot entering round 20 at the start of the season I would have taken it. The COVID challenges in Melbourne galvanised the players and took them somewhere extraordinary, and we got to come along for the ride. Our players have since realised that winning is hard work and the hunger is not there. We need a few that missed out to be driving the hunger but they are not. Only Jordon has played like he has a point to prove...
  6. I think he plays. Bowey debuted in the same round last year...
  7. So north melbourne and west coast are applying more pressure in games than us? Geez, what an embarrassment for the players and coaches.
  8. Lever for Tomlinson; Bowey for Jordon (knee or rested); van Rooyen for Sparrow. Brayshaw back to wing. FB: Lever, May, Salem HB: Rivers, Petty, Bowey C: Brayshaw, Viney, Langdon HF: Spargo, van Rooyen, Pickett FF: Neal-Bullen, Weideman, Fristch FOLL: Gawn, Petracca, Oliver I/C: Hibberd, Harmes, Jackson, Melksham SUB: Chandler

I am glass half full. We were not going much better this time last year. This squad knows how to win a premiership.
  10. Oliver and petty for bedford and tomlinson are the obvious moves. Tomlinson to be retained as medical sub to cover our injury prone talls (gawn, may, lever, petty, jackson are all carrying some niggle). For those crying out for another tall in our structure, i hear you, but its clear that plan a is for gawn and jackson to find some form forward of the ball.
  11. Isn't the more relevant issue whether he is out of isolation in time for our main training session?
  12. Intetesting that gawn was our lowest rated player today. Viney third lowest with 8 clangers.
  13. Harsh on sparrow. I thought he stepped up.
  14. So casey and port melbourne mix continues. Makes sense.
  15. AFLW team training on the new Gosch's yesterday morning. Reckon the club might let us know what is going on any time soon?
  16. I liked goody's presser too. I think we are set for these next six weeks.
  17. Petty is a blow. Hope the final bench is jordon, rivers, weideman and dunstan with hunt as sub.
  18. Good pod. We lost to Geelong in Geelong in a game where we could not have played much worse... Let's keep things in perspective. We are trying to win the flag, not one game in July. Have faith.
  19. Play both. We need a new look down there. Brown not the answer anymore.
  20. Coming off a tough contest against adelaide compared to geelong's training run against north will give us the edge. We love using the wings but will need to straighten up on a narrow ground fit for junior football only. Win at the centre and win the game. Brown to snag 5.
  21. 6 - Petracca, 5 - oliver, 4 - langdon, 3 - may, 2 - lever, 1 - brayshaw.

You can also send him a photo of the shiner clarry had at the end of the game.
  23. May gets our 'behind the ball' structure back on track. No gawn means we move the ball quicker and lower the eyes. Fritsch the main beneficiary kicking 5 goals.
  24. Yes, please!!!
  25. I have Spargo ahead of ANB, but need more goals from both. They are only doing half their job at the moment.
