  1. Seriously? Why shouldn't members be obsessed. Can you name another professional sporting organisation in the world that is not housed under roof?
  2. I like it a lot. I have a preference for bowey starting over hibberd, jvr over bb and jordon over harmes.
  3. You're right regarding potential to be redeveloped. We would need to displace the port football and cricket clubs... Not the kind of ruthless move we are capable of.
  4. That does sound like square one...
  5. Its ironic that we don't have a training ground of our own, our awesome W team makes the grand final and has to play it at...Brisbane's new training ground.

  7. I have posted this before, but will post again. My mail around mid 2021 was we expected a major redevelopment of AAMI Park for the 2023 Women's World Cup. New indoor training area, rooms, recovery area, etc. which would be handed to the MFC after the tournament. It was going to be a major announcement, hence why we were all told to wait. The eventual announcement was much more watered down - https://aamipark.com.au/news/aami-park-set-for-upgrades-ahead-of-fifa-womens-world-cup/#:~:text=In a boost for players,be finished in February 2023. I think plan A is gone and we are up the creek... The build over the carpark plan may be a spin off of the original... Like others, my hope is we will be included in the Warne Stand redevelopment. There is perhaps a small chance, given the Vic Gov are the major funder of the stand and also the funder of our working group (if it still exists?). Even if we are included in the new stand, there is still the issue of access to an oval as we will not be permitted to train on the G and walking to Gosch's Paddock where there is not even a toilet for the players is amateurish. I am afraid the reason we have not heard from the club, is there is nothing to hear...
  8. Its getting stupid...
  9. Short-term pain, long-term gain: Dogs' HQ to be transformed - https://www.afl.com.au/news/864461
  10. Doggies have won an AFLW flag...
  11. Stynes should have stayed 37? Tingay 52? Schwarz 44? Neitz 38? Good players move to the good numbers!
  12. If we can recreate what brissy have in springfield at casey, sign me up. Cran-bourne sounds close enough to mel-bourne.
  13. Sure, but we could have covered a few of them. Maybe 3 to 5?
  14. Just to add to that, I am sure one of the 11 is Salem who we picked over a fit Bowey. Again, we got what we deserved.
  15. This is a slippery slope. We had fit players in the VFL and chose not to use them. Injuries can never be an excuse. We got what we deserved.
  16. Could not agree less. He turned the 2021 GF on its head in that third quarter and we will be compensated for the trade. In no way a stuff up.
  17. The AFL media have proven time and time again this year that when you lose, you are wide open to criticism, and when you win you are untouchable. We, I am afraid, are the losers and have to put up with this [censored].
  18. One of a few players to maintain their 2021 standards.
  19. I would love simon to explain how "we tried to address it on the run". It wasn't by changing personnel or changing our plan. Did we just talk about it a lot in meetings? We are vunreable because we don't score enough. Even when we dominate we remain gettable and once momentum swings we are done.
  20. ANB is the one that bugs me. Momentum killer and only 7 goals this year...
  21. If we want to stir the pot we should put in a proposal to redevelop victoria park...
  22. I think the feedback is we won't be granted public parkland that is not already zoned for sport...
  23. Good to know there is money in the coffers. Surely the AFL will put some aside for the Dees given we must have asked for the least funding for facilities of the whole league, given our lack of a viable option.
  24. I am convinced defending this premiership has left us very fatigued. We start well and fade. This has been the case for both the season itself and within most games. Rather than reaching our peak, i think we are just hanging on. A prelim appearance will be a good result from here. Question for the pod - do we die wondering with the same 22, or do we do we roll the dice on some fresher names who are perhaps not as weighed down by a long season?
  25. 100% agree. They are not expected to win, just like we will have a free hit at geelong if we make the prelim.
