  1. Any update on tmac post training on Saturday? Probably covered in another thread but I am not sure where...
  2. I think they expected aami park to be extended with new change rooms, meeting rooms, gym, indoor practice area etc. to allow certain world cup teams to be based there during the tournament. I think the hope was after the cup those would be handed over to the dees. We would continue to train at gosch's. Was meant to be a big state government annoucement.
  3. That's what i am afraid of, i doubt anyone can solve this mess.
  4. The state govt has already annouced. Only $25m, i think we were hoping for something much bigger.
  5. I was told that the upgrade of aami park for the 2023 womens world cup would include a new base for MFC. This hasn't happened. Something has gone wrong...
  6. Fagan tried to get his boy Neale home with 4 votes against us!
  7. Bad moment from Brown. He needs to apologise for victim blaming. Only saying this to make myself feel better, but i thought zorko was the biggest grub in the league BEFORE this game. He has managed to beat his own disgusting lows.
  8. I presume we are talking about the fines handed out to Sydney and others for not complying with the AFL's protocols?
  9. Sure.
  10. I like many think we are a clear rung below Geelong this year. It would be good to hear @Demonland, @binman and @george_on_the_outer nominate one change they would make to team (personnel or tactical) if we are to be any chance to bridge the gap.
  11. The people that do this are the lowest of the low, and Kozzy is living his dream. Don't let them bring you down Koz.
  12. Sigh. This is our 22 (23 if you include harmes) for the year i think... Bad news for those of us who want to see chandler, bowey, laurie, jvr...
  13. Bold play to peak a week after we are eliminated in straight sets... (joke - hope you are right and we improve from here)
  14. Really enjoyed listening to the podcast. My favourite bit was being reminded about how Geelong may once again fade in the finals with aging bodies away from GMHBA Stadium... Question for @binman - why are you so convinced we are going at 75% and on the way up? I took from Goody's comments a few weeks ago we were about to hit our straps. Could it be we are closer to our peak for the year, and it is simply not as high a level as we got to last year?
  15. I have a theory, when the sub is named the afl.com.au team positions update to show the official team sheet including starting positions. Check it out.
  16. Brayshaw starting in the guts, trac forward
  17. Is harmes an automatic selection? I think brayshaw returning to the midfield keeps him out or in the sub role.
  18. The afl.com.au line up now has gus starting in the guts. The updated line up when sub is named is usually accurate as it is based on final teamsheet.
  19. It's such a mixed bag... if offered 13 wins and second spot entering round 20 at the start of the season I would have taken it. The COVID challenges in Melbourne galvanised the players and took them somewhere extraordinary, and we got to come along for the ride. Our players have since realised that winning is hard work and the hunger is not there. We need a few that missed out to be driving the hunger but they are not. Only Jordon has played like he has a point to prove...
  20. I think he plays. Bowey debuted in the same round last year...
  21. So north melbourne and west coast are applying more pressure in games than us? Geez, what an embarrassment for the players and coaches.
  22. Lever for Tomlinson; Bowey for Jordon (knee or rested); van Rooyen for Sparrow. Brayshaw back to wing. FB: Lever, May, Salem HB: Rivers, Petty, Bowey C: Brayshaw, Viney, Langdon HF: Spargo, van Rooyen, Pickett FF: Neal-Bullen, Weideman, Fristch FOLL: Gawn, Petracca, Oliver I/C: Hibberd, Harmes, Jackson, Melksham SUB: Chandler
  23. I am glass half full. We were not going much better this time last year. This squad knows how to win a premiership.
  24. Oliver and petty for bedford and tomlinson are the obvious moves. Tomlinson to be retained as medical sub to cover our injury prone talls (gawn, may, lever, petty, jackson are all carrying some niggle). For those crying out for another tall in our structure, i hear you, but its clear that plan a is for gawn and jackson to find some form forward of the ball.
  25. Isn't the more relevant issue whether he is out of isolation in time for our main training session?
