  1. Wow Carlton and Giants Even Adelaide and Saint Kilda Brutal
  2. I think this is interesting, We know TMac has an extraordinary tenacity with his training and fitness, Not sure how Petty measures up in that regard but I'd dare say its not as fanatical as TMac
  3. All time Brownlow Votes for Melbourne (EG is eligible games played) 1 – Robert Flower – 130.5 votes (269 EG) 2 – Clayton Oliver – 116 votes (152 EG) 3 – Greg Wells – 92 votes (224 EG) He's alright Clayton. Just need him to get back to what he does best
  4. Someone will pay that. Hope its not us. Carlton need defenders and have a magic money tree somewhere.
  5. I think thats right, So weird we can't seem to get him fwd time.
  6. Houston would be a great get. Expensive but good Think we need to hold some bucks and picks for a gun mid. My fear is that Oliver will never get back to that pinnacle And I am not sure of anyone has mentioned us trying to get a forward from somewhere..... but I think its a need....🤪
  7. Don't really want to interject with your little spat but a correction is warranted We won two in a row, not three which is the first time since round 7 and 8 that we had won two in a row. wacky doo It's round 20 and you're entitled to view the season with Pollyanna glasses but too many of us have seen this movie before. It's 5 minutes to midnight and our season is being blown away
  8. So there were no surprises. Freo played exactly as we knew they'd play. We knew Brayshaw and Serong would get leather poisoning But we tried to play our way? Pressure marginally better than Alice but a shut show
  9. Woey got a corky in the last few minutes of the game. It's why he didn't fly to Perth.
  10. Stop the switch we win We also have a lot of WA boys that like to play well in from of families and friends. And maybe a small Jab to the WA recruitment teams that overlooked them. Go dees
  11. Hawthorn now have 2
  12. Interesting article from 2011 about North that suffered 6x 100pt losses and bounced back to win each match the following week Not strictly comparable but shows how sides' form can vary dramatically from week to week Dees by 14 https://www.afl.com.au/news/75676/bounceback-kings
  13. My bad. Just saw the mfc insta Page and didn't see the Riv there
  14. Coaches votes are laughable No rivers?? Wtf? Nick Martin?? Brad Scott as bad as his brother
  15. Yes I though Bowey would get taken off. Kicking has gone off lately
  16. I think you have taken a bit of licence there... Essendon aren't a top 4 side in reality. Agree with most other things you have said but Essendon's season to date was: 2 wins v West Coast (by 6p and 30p) 1 win v North Wins v St Kilda Richmond Adelaide, Dogs, Giants (when they were poor) and a decent win against Collingwood. Despite their easy draw their percentage was only 14th best in the league at 99.9% Nonetheless it was a test for us and its always brilliant to beat them
  17. Goodwin and Melksham both addressed that separately saying we were previously poor but have trained with soapy footballs to improve. It showed
  18. Its a great example of how our rules get bastardised over time. The front on rule has suffered the same fate. The sliding rule was brought in primarily because of Adam Goodes, who would slide in knees first to either a) a player already on the ground (the knees intended to damage the player) or b) a front on slide that was dangerous to an incoming player's legs Now, it is adjudicated as the Draper one was. Draper was on the ground and made a legitimate lunge to punch the ball to a team mate. Disco went to jump over him to get the ball but tangled his legs up (ironically how he got the name Disco) and in the process kneed Draper in the head. ANB often intentionally sees a player on the ground and feigns a trip over them to elicit a free, It's not good.
  19. Yeah me too. My most hated team
  20. Maaaaate really? Try last round in 2021 at Kardinia Park. Trailing by 44 pts with 8m to go in the 3rd qtr. Maxy wins it with a kick after the siren for the Dees to finish top of the ladder......
  21. I havent got the time to work it out but my gut feel is that we have been then youngest side in every game bar 2 (North and maybe one other, hawthorn?).... Anyone know a quick way to work that out?
  22. What an insane take
  23. Well even the club tried to get rid of ANB and TMac a few years back.......
  24. Tradesman like performance
