PREGAME: Rd 12 vs Fremantle
They came out firing. Refused to kick long to Lever, May went off early from memory. Dirty ball into our fwd 50 where we struggle to stop it and rebound. Expect no different this time. We need a first qtr as intensive as last game. But with better kicking. Freo have never played this ground so hopefully that gives us an edge.

Changes to āHolding the Ballā Rule
Or the public Is it any wonder the umpires get abused for not abiding by the rules when the rules are changed without watchers knowing? Why the secrecy? Oh its the AFL...

Changes to āHolding the Ballā Rule
None of this is news. Ever since they allowed unlimited interchange to 'speed up the game' we have had congestion. It is a fact that if interchanges are reduced players will fatigue sooner and they simply can't run as far (except for the likes of say Langdon) The coaches scream that injuries will increase but I don't buy it for a second. Because the players won't be able to run manically for 4 quarters. Collision impacts will likely reduce because you won't have powerful, fit players cannoning into other players. They will naturally pick and choose when to run and when to tackle etc. Never ever listen to coaches about the state of the game. They couldn't care less how it looks.

Whispering in the Umpires Ears
Sanctity? Integrity? Two words that should never be in the same sentence as the AFL

Changes to āHolding the Ballā Rule
The front on rule is also a joke. As is the Goodes sliding the knees. The way Goodes used to slide in was dangerous. Now we have players theatrically diving over a player on the ground to try and elicit a free (ANB is a culprit) While we are at it the Intentional OOB, the protected area, the stand rule The interpretations of all of these are farcical.

Changes to āHolding the Ballā Rule
It should be immediate. If you get tackled you have to immediately attempt to dispose of the ball. Simples.

Changes to āHolding the Ballā Rule
Well know the rule works if Cripps can no longer do 720degree turns while looking to dish off a handball

First Half Scoring
My theory is that other sides know how we play, plan for it then execute. We try to play our plan and adjust to what the opp throws at us. We're reactive. But always try to play our game rather than change our plan to beat an opposition

First Half Scoring
Prior to the weekend we were 88% in the first qtr meaning that we had scored less than our opposition Thats a more important stat. We have always been behind the 8 ball Good to see a dominant first qtr for a change against St Kilda

Tomlinson forward?
This is simply untrue. Please point out when he had been tried at senior level for us? His 35 goals at GWS were over 8 seasons and a good deal were when he was playing wing

2024 Game Style
It's not one result. It's the West Coast game, Carlton game, Brisbane game, the Port game, the Swans game..... The Carlton game encapsulated all that is wrong with us. Goody goes out to play 'our style' when it is clear the other teams have worked Carlton out. Stop Cripps and Walsh. He doesn't appear to me to adjust his game plan to the team we are playing. He makes the occasional match up change but not so much game plan.
