Dan Houston
Houston would be a great get. Expensive but good Think we need to hold some bucks and picks for a gun mid. My fear is that Oliver will never get back to that pinnacle And I am not sure of anyone has mentioned us trying to get a forward from somewhere..... but I think its a need....🤪

POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Fremantle
Don't really want to interject with your little spat but a correction is warranted We won two in a row, not three which is the first time since round 7 and 8 that we had won two in a row. wacky doo It's round 20 and you're entitled to view the season with Pollyanna glasses but too many of us have seen this movie before. It's 5 minutes to midnight and our season is being blown away

I think you have taken a bit of licence there... Essendon aren't a top 4 side in reality. Agree with most other things you have said but Essendon's season to date was: 2 wins v West Coast (by 6p and 30p) 1 win v North Wins v St Kilda Richmond Adelaide, Dogs, Giants (when they were poor) and a decent win against Collingwood. Despite their easy draw their percentage was only 14th best in the league at 99.9% Nonetheless it was a test for us and its always brilliant to beat them

Its a great example of how our rules get bastardised over time. The front on rule has suffered the same fate. The sliding rule was brought in primarily because of Adam Goodes, who would slide in knees first to either a) a player already on the ground (the knees intended to damage the player) or b) a front on slide that was dangerous to an incoming player's legs Now, it is adjudicated as the Draper one was. Draper was on the ground and made a legitimate lunge to punch the ball to a team mate. Disco went to jump over him to get the ball but tangled his legs up (ironically how he got the name Disco) and in the process kneed Draper in the head. ANB often intentionally sees a player on the ground and feigns a trip over them to elicit a free, It's not good.

Well we found out that Goodwin has a plan B, we can play in the wet and our contest game is still one of the best in the game. Kozzie, Riv and Langdon were simply superb. Roo was great, Windsor, McVee and even Tholstrup were relentless and provided spark and excitement as did AMW Disco is a great kick, TMac is solid and Melk is just a brilliant competitor. Oliver started to show glimpses of his old self and Nibbler shut down their Captain. May was back to being a rock We are forming a strong belief at the right time of the season and despite Gawn and Petracca, are relatively healthy. A tough few weeks ahead but we are in with a shot.
