The Kalani White Thread
He's in Gold Coast's Academy program so I expect he knows all of them I did hear Jeff W on the radio saying Kalani thought better of wearing his Demon jumper to the game. I'd say he will be a Dee but Jeff likes playing the game a bit

Time to go Goody?
And now let's do an honest assessment of which players have improved this year. Our senior players have let us down badly. Oliver, Salem, Viney, Lever, Petty Improvers: Rivers, McVee, maybe Langdon, maybe JvR. That's it First year players - Windsor - started well. Tholstrup - has been OK Who has improved from the 2021 GF: May - no Lever - backwards Rivers - yes Petty - backwards Salem - backwards Petracca - excused Langdon - maybe ANB - maybe McDonald - no Sparrow - backwards Spargo - excused BBrown - no Fritsch - Backwards Bowey - excused Pickett - not really Chandler - no Gawn - no Oliver - backwards Viney - no Theres our problem right there. A lot of players that are fringe. Woey, billings, Hunter, Schache, Thommo, McAdam, Hore, Verral, Sestan, Farris White BBB

Time to go Goody?
This is all on the coaching staff. Players are bereft of confidence. They have no idea what they are supposed to be doing. They turn the ball over. You can see the panic when they get the ball. They just dont know what to do. They will trot out excuses like, oh we had injuries - and yes that explains some of it - but if you told me at the start of the season we would be 18th for clearances I would have laughed at you. The players are clueless what to do. Or at the very least confused as to what they should be doing. It's blindingly obvious except to the happy clappers here.

First quarter centre square stuff
Max is vulnerable to large bodied ruckman who step in to take away his space. They move to the centre line and body block Max from the ball. Grundy did it in Rd 1, Pittonet does it, Briggs does it He hasn't really learned how to deal with it. Added to that our mids cant read the signals

POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs GWS
That is true. And we blooded some good young players. But it is a weird season with lots of ups and downs. This year was all on our coaches and senior players. Petty in particular and the refusal to play him back. Stubborn Simon on display. He is bereft of all confidence. Salem, Lever and May were below par most of the year, Oliver, losing Tracc and Brayshaw and Fritsch who is the laziest tackler in the competition. He just coasts around waving one arm at a player. Infuriating. Chandler started off well and then went downhill. Even Viney's output was average. Kozzie is a flash here and a flash there. Joel Smith let us down badly Aside from the young guns (Riv, McVee, Windsor, JVR) the only players that improved were: nil. And I challenge anyone to find someone. Theres our problem right there. Senior players not performing to the consistent level they should. Maybe TMac and Langdon got back to their better form but there was no higher watermark.
