  1. Fritsch was unsighted in the first half carrying on with his 2024 form When he first came to the club he was played down back to try and sharpen his defensive skills. He seems to have gone back to old ways. Not sure how much longer gets a free pass on his pre-2023 efforts.
  2. As much as Howes wasn't up to speed I would have benched Jefferson much earlier to bring on an extra running mid in Langford.
  3. It might be earlier than round 10 at this rate....
  4. Fritsch should be the sub going fwd. For the past year he has only ever played the second half of games.
  5. Saw that but he was likely completely gassed
  6. That set play is so standard for them. I was shocked we weren't ready for it
  7. Not surprised he was subbed
  8. They've kept Taylor quiet which is probably a plan
  9. Howes doesn't look up to it on this showing
  10. His last 30 games, first halves have been non existent
  11. Well done
  12. My thoughts exactly. Goes missing for too long in matches I thought MJ hadnt done enough but we got to blood the kid sometime....
  13. Carlton has a lot of ordinary players. And they have lost 8 of their last 10 games with their 2 wins being against North and West Coast. McGovern, Haynes, Cowan, Saad, Acres, Kemp, Cottrell, Williams are not up to it for senior players. The look at the young guys Lord, Motlop, Fogarty, Evans, Camporeale - average but early days As for McKay - gosh he's hopeless
  14. See yourself out thanks...
  15. The Giants team looks weak up fwd without Hogan. B: C.Idun, S.Taylor, H.Himmelberg HB: L.Whitfield, J.Buckley, L.Ash C: J.Kelly, T.Green, S.Coniglio HF: X.O’Halloran, T.Greene - C, B.Daniels F: D.Jones, A.Cadman, M.Gruzewski FOLL: L.Keeffe, T.Bedford, F.Callaghan I/C (FROM): C.Brown, C.Ward, C.Stone, J.Leake, C.Angove, L.Aleer, O.Hannaford, J.Wehr
  16. A great story and one of our best. But his lazy defensive efforts at times takes the shine off him for me. As you have compared him somewhat to Bruest I was intrigued by Bruests defensive numbers and Bruest's tackles and handballs so I checked and they are a cut above (also 8 x 40goals incl 3 x over 50 goals). Fritsch is not the team player the Bruest is. If he could only add that to his game he would be one of the AFLs all time greats. Nonetheless he is a great Melbourne player and congrats on 150 games. 17. Beautiful to see Carlton choking
  18. If there is three it will be Langford, Sharp, Lindsay AJ to be emergency I'd be shocked to see Jefferson play and I cant see Spargo being ready
  19. Gee we miss Hibbo
  20. Sharp and Langdon waxing will do the job for us
  21. Just watched the 1st qtr from last year. 5g 5b to 1g 2b the Dees were on fire in the 1st. Huge pressure and they stopped the Giants running game. This was at a time when the Dees weren't playing well so it was good to refresh the memory. I suspect they know exactly what they need to do to beat the Giants
  22. Of course that could happen. I sense AJ is a Goody type of player. A desperado who loves combat and will give his all. Turner as much as I like him goes missing for large chunks of games.
  23. Turner has done nothing in the pre-season. There are others in that boat too but personally I think AJ has done more than enough to get selected ahead of Turner. Even Campbell has done more than Turner. I like Turner but not sure where his fitness is at.
