This team has got big heads. Oliver and Trac were terrible - trying to take on all comers. Olivers' kicks for goal are putrid. Trac thinks he' s auditioning for a Hollywood movie today. The fwd line was a genuine debacle. The ease at which Pies players marked the ball and exited our fwd 50 was reminiscent of the terrible years a decade ago. Where are all the Weid defenders today? What a pathetic game. You could almost forgive him if he stopped Moore but MOore was one of their best. Fritsch chooses to play every second week. And TMac? Not sure what happened to him today. But there was simply no cohesions and everyone was playing for themselves. I have no voice from screaming at our players to man up - the number of times a Pie player would get the ball and there would be 3 or 4 immediate options with none of our players chasing nearly made me throw up. The defence was a complete shambles and our slow predicatable ball movement proved easy to counter today. They had 14 marks inside their 50 by fourth quarter. Horrid defending Blueprint to beat Melbourne is simply get the ball in quickly and don't allow our defenders to defend. They seemed unable to dop that one on one today. The usual suspects will come out saying 'oh we are 11 and 2 , what a great result" but we have seen this movie too many times before. We simply cannot crush teams we are expected to beat. And when it counts we had no leaders on the field. Digusting performance against a really average team.

I didn't suggest that was his reason. You asked and I stated it could be a reason. We don't know. He's out of contract and someone could have offered him $850k a season. Who knows? He hasn't signed a contract with Melbourne. But that wasn't my point at all if you care to read what I said.

This really isn't a case of Weid is no good/Weid is good. Or Weid 'haters' It also shouldn't be an argument about Weid being out of contract and we need to play him so other clubs don't poach him. For all we know he will declare he wants to go to say Collingwood and is performing poorly now because he knows he will be off next year. Not saying that is the case but it could be.... We all want him to be successful. He really should have shown more consistency by 5 1/2 years. He hasn't performed consistently at Casey even. Yes he is doing some team things. Well that surely is a minimum of what you'd expect. But ultimately he is there to kick goals and he isn't doing that. The fact is we have a Coleman winning goal kicker in the wings. A proven goal kicker. Yes he's older and probably not the same as he was 3 or 4 years ago but its a valid opinion to say Weid needs to go back and get confidence at Casey and Play BB in the meantime.

I have never thought Daniher was the superstar they made him out to be. If he could fix his kicking perhaps..... And quite a few lazy spots in his gamne against us. Didn't run and chase ...
