  1. The number of times that Jackson has had to drive his own ball is terrible
  2. I'm not sure tho that defending yourself has ever been a defence. In fact often the retaliator gets punished. I like the fact Goodwin has called it out. The 3 umpires we had were a disgrace. We couldn't see it because the TV coverage didn't show it but the vision in the Cornes segment was damning. And Gawn is unable to play this week, as is the case with Viney who got concussion. Unfortunately we have them again.
  3. I think we need to go hard against Norf. They try to be a physical side. We need to go harder. Harley and hardness..........yeah next
  4. I disagree strongly Max should play the ball. Let his team mates support their Captain. It's actually a disgrace they let that happen to their Capt and best player. And after those peanuts in the commentary team had a go at VDB for giving the Crow player a push its clearly too much to ask for some consistency. Butu we know they are massive hypocrites in any case..
  5. He did come 21st in their B&F in his first season after being chastened by his departure at Melbourne. So I guess its a yes...
  6. Let's hope he puts in a chase tonight Gotta lead by example Jakey boy. Any truth to the rumour that they spun a wheel and anyone called Jake got to be Capt or Vice Capt?
  7. Same umps as last week God help us.
  8. Wow. What a [censored] disgrace those maggots were.
  9. Melbourne loves an 'excuse' not to turn up but maybe the history against this club will bring back enough memories to want to smash them. Higgins always kills us. Averages 20 possessions and a more than a goal against Melbourne. Smart strong player
  10. Just saw the FoxSports segment on thetargettig of Gawn. Unbelievable. Was not shown in the normal coverage so it went under the radar. But those maggots umpiring that game should never umpire again.
  11. Every team having a sh*tful season thinks they can beat us. Goes without saying.
  12. 6 weeks for that these days...
  13. I like the way we let the opposition know so early every time we have an injury Mighty neighbourly of us. We like helping them in their prep
  14. You dont know they give one out every single week don't you. For the best young player of the round... The Question therefore is: Has a young player had a better game this week?
  15. Hardly incorrect, controversial or disputable. I said: I thnk every side thinks they can beat Melbourne. Particularly the bottom sides. Pressure them hard early and they will fold. Its been a recipe for success over the years. The Crows tried it. Our wins that you refer to prove my point really. We had a 1pt win against Carlton after leading by 42opints. Really solid victory Gold Coast were within 3 pts at 3/4 time. Another stirring win Adelaide were 12pts down at 3/4 time after pushing hard against the Dees all night. Last year our record against the bottom 9 sides from 2018? 7 losses. 3 wins - Carlton by 5 pts, Gold Coast 1pt and Freo who led for the 1st 3 quarters We have made a habit of being pushed and/or beaten by bottom sides for over a decade. Its pretty common amongst AFL players that Melbourne are flaky and beatable when pressure is applied. Particularly for interstate sides that play at the MCG that might be their only appearance for the season. The get themselves up and usually push us and often prevail. If you're hanging your hat on this year's performance good luck. I can see why you use the name Pollyanna

  17. I thought Salem's role would be a line breaker with his kicking off half back. To that end he is disappointing. He uses the ball well but we don't get enough bang for our buck. 15m chip passes are not what we generally need. We need scything 50m passes to open up the ground and launch attacks. I think he could work as a mid as he is clean and thinks well under pressure generally.
  18. Watching the replay the ump called high tackle when it was nowhere near high. He then changed the call to dangerous tackle after the crow was on the ground. The same [censored] that was calling most of the high frees against melb
  19. OD for a start he only kicked just under 9 times a game. Yes he could kick but that was never the issue as you well know. 9 seasons 1 top 5 finish in the B&F. 1st year at Port a chastened Jack finished 21st in the B&F Jack was a coaster and you know it. The Motorboating I totally understand.
  20. Ok He would admit fault however, Thats what happened in East Berlin and Russia .........if you ever want to work in this business again. Just ask Dale Lewis....
  21. Good call Players are now so adept at lifting their arms and disposing of the ball, the tacklers moved on to pinning the arms and then slinging them to the ground.
  22. Not saying its a good rule but Max had 4 frees paid against him one game for exactly that.
  23. Interesting take from down at West Lakes: Getting a good run from the umps We're being gifted the free kicks this game. They really must want us to win. We are getting the biggest umpiring ride Lucky to get away with that one. Umps are getting involved Melbourne relentlessly going for the head Tex has been horrendous . And the umpiring has been diabolical, not protecting the player and their interpretation of the holding the ball/improper disposal rule is at an all time low. So many head-highs going our way because of the hatchet jobs by Dees players. Definitely getting a ride Melbourne have tried their hardest to get us back in this game Stats all even except frees 16 - 8 going our way. Brace yourselves for some shockers in the even up this half. We are being absolutely reamed by the maggots Is Neal-Bullen a slack-jawed yokel? Always has his mouth wide open (well he is from South Australia!) **** off Riccioto. You played a huge part in the mess we currently find ourselves in The day Roo is seen as persona non grata at the AFC will be a good day Could we trade Jones for Sparrow? And this: amazing what happens when the umpires aren't so one-sided. sorry but that's the only reason the 2nd half turned out the way it did
