I think that while we have a young exciting list of players - we play a stupid style of game that does not suit us. Last year Bailey was taking it down the middle and we looked quite good. This year we are trying to play the boundary line like Collingwood. Bailey's game plan looks like flip flop, copy who is ever on top. I do think it is inexcusable that we are the only team in the competition that has not done any work on the defensive press and whose players have no idea how to combat it. Surely Dean needs to keep up with what's going on in the comp. We can have the best young list but if the coach cannot get anything out of it, then no rebuild is going to be effective. Worse, i found Bailey's press conference even more flat and useless than our third quater. I think it was obvious we got smashed Dean. It has been happening for four years.

I think we should have kept James McDonald. Mistake 1. It is alright wanting a great rebuild and youth policy but one needs to get experience in their with the younger players. Mistake 2, Not making a play for a big body forward.

I thought we were at base camp, but we haven't left the carpark yet.

There is something wrong at the club because the players are not doing the small things that are needed to win games. I just don't think Bailey has the experience or knowledge of the game to be a senior coach. You have to wonder on what criteria he got the job. Maybe it is time for a simple game plan because the players cannot play this strange way forever. Was really disappointed in Jurrah. Needs to work harder when he doesn't have the ball.

A good coach should inspire and get the best out of his team. After three and a bit years, there is nothing that suggests to me that Bailey is a senior coach. Totally outcoached in the second half.

Ok, 2008 we were bad but not that bad. Carlton were not really that switched on but still won by 100 + points. In 2008 we had some close games as well as hidings but we had a core team that had experienced players such as Yze, White Robbo ect. I'd be surprised if Gold Coast don't take a 100 shallacking in nearly every game. The kids have no idea yet, even our progress tells you that three years on, the young players are still batteling. Hate to think what will happen when the gold coast play collingwood.

I like the thought of wonna in the midfield, hope Gysberts will play soon. Blease just needs game time. I wonder if Newton is starting to show something?

It was a secured loan done legally as any bank would do meaning the only risk was for Cam. All the issues would have been discussed.

A great non-event as far as I can see. There was no risk involved really, a bit of extra money to the club. Move on, nothing to see here.

Needs to play closer to goal. He should be using his spped to get back into space - seems like non of our other forwards can get back down there quick enough. We still need a strong target dwon in the forwardline to crash the packs. If Davey and Jetta get rubbed out, surely Wona will play. Can't believe the thought that we nailed the sub. Pettered was the sort of player we really needed in the first two quaters. He is far more desperate and willing to present a target. I'd have subbed Bennel or Jetta.

Forwards need to have greater pressure. They are a lazey and don't work hard enough, same with defense. It is the small thing, helping a teammate and making an effort to run hard and create targets that we seem to lack.

Not keen on Petterd as the sub. He is the dangerous option in the forwardline that we need. Will take a good defender and free up Jurrah and Green.

If it is the incident I am thinking off, nothing in, not even a free kick - very ordinary umpiring today.

Lacked Frawley in defense. It is a shame that Rivers who can mark a ball seems to lack any ability to kick. McDonald was horrible, Tappscot was great, tough and hard working and Watts did the small things that seem to go noticed. Negatives, Forwardline just does not work hard enough. Our forward coach should have worked on this area. Bailey picked the wrong player as the Sub. Not sure what he was thinking. Having Petterd on the Bench for three quaters was ridiculous. The positives, Petterd was the only player who looked able to pull off a mark down forward.

Surely he shouldn't have played those two practice matches after missing due to knee soreness earlier?

It is quite good value entertainment - plus the more we have, the more we have to watch and enjoy in the future. THe club has done well, the players are improving, now it is time for the supporters to do their bit.

They are also the ones who whine the most about the club administration or onfield. At the end of the day, they are not real supporters. But obviously, if we are yet to sign 10,000 current members, we must have picked up alot of new members.

Winning 3 quater will win a game unless you are smashed in the one quater you don't win Winning 4 quaters means you win the game Winning 2 quaters means 50% chance Winning one quater, probably means you will lose. Does that clear things up. Coaches generally talk quaters because they are important in setting goals for the team. It is not uncommon for a coach who is developing players to get them to set targets for possesions per quater.

I don't have a problem with it. He is a scorpian player, not a dee and would only associate with our players on match day. Besides we don't have any full forwards training down at casey. Will give some of our young mids an opportunity to learn to kick to a real full forward. Casey is Fevs home town anyway.
