  1. I spoke with one of the MFC coaches on Sunday, Viney certain to play. Might play half vs Geelong VFL, would have played vs Giants if we had lost to WCE. Pretty insightful chatting to a coach must admit, some other insights I really enjoyed hearing.
  2. My understanding is Viney is a long shot to play again this year. Sad but true.
  3. I watched the 1st half today and thought Jeffry played his role. A lot of pressure acts and tackles, some leading to goals plus one classy, classic Jeffry goal himself. wasnt disappointing for me. There is definite things to like about Keilty, Balic, Stretch, Frost at this level. Baker promising. if we need changes next week I’d be happy with Vince.
  4. I'm here also Diamond, what a fabulous game, great stadium, pity bout the second goal. Just watched game 2 at fanzone, wouldn't mind a few Icelandic blokes in the Dees backline, they go hard!!! go Aussies
  5. Absolutely smashed round the clearances. Lucky to be this close
  6. Massive crowd. MCC is full, just walked half the ground to find a seat. Electric atmosphere. carn Demons
  7. Tough call, having seen this one live.....In Viney out Spargo or Weid, depending if we go tall or smaller very little times last night when we had 3 big talls deep, TMac and Hoges both rotated on the ball/wing alot Salem was really good, as was Lewis, they won a lot of important footy one on one as the Suns charged forward, Vince solid, so no changes down back for me. Weid is building ok, a luxury to have him build in the AFL. Spargo will be a beauty, but not impacting enough yet, ANB was much much better than him
  8. Article is well written and a bit close to home so as fans we get defensive. This has the potential to drag on and be a downer on our year, it won't if we win early, set up a finals spot and gofrom there. I had the displeasure of lisetening to a few local footy club friends last week who had a lot of inside word on this one, it was hard to defend given what they shared. I'd have loved to be a fly on the wall when Bellamy and Goodwin talked after it blew up and was cancelled, I head that conversation was one for the ages and defining in Bellamys view of where to next. bellamy is perhaps the greatest coach in australian sport in the past twenty years, if we can learn anything from him we should. Say what you like about the NRL or Storm, they are simply amazing team. Every single year I head to Storm games knowing we will likely win....again. as we head into the Cats game I'm keen to win and move past this as a relevant topic, there is no positives in this coming up again and again.
  9. As above. Keen to be involved again. Fetters Flyers.
  10. Deevoted I'm keen to go again. Team name is Fetters Flyers.
  11. Having watched some VFL last year, including 2 finals I'd strongly suggest Fritsch. He would have played several games late last year if on the list at the time. Clearly a better option in VFL than a Bugg, JKH etc forward.
  12. Plapp doing midfield
  13. Good on her, I coached against her in netball a few years back. Tall!
  14. Coached in 2018 by his U18 coach whom he excelled with - Plapp in the Demons midfield. I like it. Is he better at the same age than Kane Lambert? That's the comparison I'm looking at.
  15. Don't believe everything you hear. Nothing here that isn't done at other clubs every year. Let's worry about that when we've actually played a final, right now none of the playing group is good enough for that.
  16. Wonderful debut season given the lack to pre season and year one on the list! Would you take Hannan, Townsend or Castagna at Round 1 next year? I think Hannan, which tells me he can play a role in a Premiership team. now I'd like to see Fritsch alongside him!! Go Dees.
  17. Funny time of the year. I really like Watts when he plays well, uses his skills, vision etc. Equally he frustrates hugely at times. I don't actually care who we move on, as long as it helps our momentum continue into finals next year. I'd prefer Lever to Watts if that was the choice. Not having a highly talked about player each week might help also, he seems to be the first question to anyone 15 weeks of the year. We moved forward this year, I'm happy to back in Goody and PJ to do again next year. If they think Watts doesn't make a significant difference that's fine. Time to trade, trade hard Demons. Joel Smith to HFF.
  18. I had a few beers recently with someone who coached Stringer in recent years, not Bevo. Confirmed he needed to leave the club due to personal, ex wife issues. Hence not all surprised to see where this is going. Also of interest, thought was Boyd was better when interstate as his mindset issues are heavily influenced by family being closer every week.
  19. Spoke to someone from Carlton yesterday and they thought Kelly would stay at GWS
  20. Those best players I'd agree with. Kennedy did some good things also. Trengove was solid. Weid very little influence, Fritsch was clearly go to forward. Bugg and Spencer no impact. King better than Spencil but both beaten by a journey man at least 15cm shorter. wagner and JKH had almost games. Stretch did some good things. id be surprised if Hulett on the list next year. Expect King to be. and once again Fritsch is a gun.
  21. Shocking umpiring gets Willy another goal
  22. Meese is a much better VFL ruckman than Spencer down 111-73
  23. Even Acye Corey taking pack marks now. little from Bugg today. Wagner does so many nice things but can't kick
  24. Another to Siposs, really beating Hutchins down 92-73 and he's got it again
  25. Another to Siposs and then Dunnell and we are stuffed
