The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
I was attending Perth Demons function briefly and Pres and CEO simply said “very important we resolve” as part of getting setup well off field.

GAMEDAY: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
I’m here watching live. This. We’ve had a lot of ball, that quarter was even ish possession wise. But wow, so so many errors and poor choices. Freo are good. We’ve been poor with execution.

PREGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Gotta say it’s gonna be hot; I’m in the Globe Hotel beer garden watching Crows Dogs - was 35 degrees when we arrived today. Good call leaving Moose at home. Running game tomorrow. Hope they are selling the Flame jumper at the ground tomorrow. Go Dees

Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
It’s almost impossible to compare Pickett's path to the draft as a “reach” with a player who’s been in the Coates League for years, playing APS footy - managing diet, training, game structure, approach since 13 years old. These kids are known for years they are potential AFL. Pickett is from the Tumby Bay league outside Port Lincoln - he's on a rapid rise. This worked for Kozzie - may or may not for Latrelle. But geez I’m Excited to go to the footy next year - which amazes me as my favourite ever player is now a Giant.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Alternative view; this is very good succession planning that you tap into IF needed. We need it now. Even better than if this has occurred it’s been done without any media leaks.

NON-MFC: Round 20
He was a good fun teammate though Howie - could take a hanger in his day; played like Fritsch

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Agree with this view of Jeffo. He looks really comfortable at VFL - now play him for rest of season and see if he can become same at AFL.

CASEY: Rd 12 vs Essendon VFL
Not even an ounce of breeze all night. Perfect conditions just cold. Great last quarter

CASEY: Rd 12 vs Essendon VFL
Yes; plenty. Decent choice

CASEY: Rd 12 vs Essendon VFL
Here watching live. Liking Jeffo tonight; looks comfortable As “the guy” up forward. Cross likely also. Fullerton not liking. Needs to crack in more. We have ALOT of similar mid size types - need some more X factor. Smith handy, Laurie amazing goal, Hendo ok in bits, Bonner gets a lot of it - sweet kick. Liking Verral game also. Using his body well. Young White is a bean stalk - very very athletic. Hope he makes it as a ruckman/3rd tall. Adam’s got done a few times that quarter. Bombers having a real go. Go Dees

PREGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Hoyney did some great stats last week on SEN re backup ruckman. Message was don’t bother, pick the best forward. Back up rucks avg 4 centre bounce a week; 15 ball ups and one goal for and against, so basically a nil all draw. Pick Jeff if he’s in best form.

PREGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
Thinking: Out: McDonald (managed), Sharp (omitted) In: Lever, Viney Sub: Fritsch
-
PREGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond
Having watched both games yesterday I’d go: In May and McVee Out Turner and Sharp Melky sub Emerg; Fritta, Adam’s, Laurie

PREGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond
I was there also; Roo I agree; thought Fritta was ok and had a go; we scored when he was involved. Fritta for Melky or leave as is - can’t play em both.

CASEY: Rd 04 vs UWS Giants
Gruzewski was easily the best tall forward on the ground. Derkson comfortably beat Van Roo. Aleer would be very useful.

CASEY: Rd 04 vs UWS Giants
Headed out to Casey for the first time today (much closer to our Easter location than the G) - pretty impressed with the oval quality and overall facilities around Casey Fieds. Ovals everywhere. On the field a really ordinary day, was expecting so much more. If we need a key forward Thursday vs Tigers I’d pick in order: Fritta Jeffo AJ Roo Fritta did a few nice things and showed some desperation- too good for VFL. Roo is along way off, really sad to see how poor his form is. Hopefully the lead and goal late gives some confidence. Was pleasantly surprised with Kentfied down back; he very hard in a contest, looks likely intercept marking, kicks it ok. Mid wise maybe Culley. Baldi pretty good. Love Bonner on our list.
