  1. Sounds like there might be more this, potentially this has been a bit of smoke and mirrors. Statement incoming.
  2. Throwing Edmund into this ‘basket’ is completely disingenuous.
  3. Yeah, the media pile-on which constantly occurs on this site is actually insane and beyond tiresome. I work in a field which is constantly reported on in media circles and although reporting sometimes lacks nuance, or some matters pertaining to specificity, the overwhelming bulk of reporting is extremely accurate in relation to broad facts, figures and geographic insights.
  4. Yeah, it’s very anomalous with reference to the criminal process. I’m not discounting the difficulties that are inherent with investigating, prosecuting and then proving the various forms of SA chargers in the various jurisdictions, but given the total rate of criminal convictions sits around 97% across all jurisdictions for all criminal matters (if you exclude SA data as an approximation, the total conviction rate probably jumps to around 98 - 98.5% for all other criminal matters - given the low rate of SA convictions), SA comparatively sits incredibly low at between 6 - 12%. You’ve made some solid nuanced points, good insight. Anyway, back to footy.
  5. I don’t ever recall comparing him to Ashcroft, but the reality is it’s a performance based industry and he is as a high draft selection. At a bear minimum, incremental improvement would be expected. What expectations have I said that are ‘absurd’?
  6. This is criminally under-liked.
  7. Mate, it was a flippant facetious comment. Relax - and welcome to the internet.
  8. Essendon will probably ask for two first rounders, in honour of old mate Dodo. "This one's for you, Adrian!"
  9. Yeah I find it extremely underwhelming.
  10. Exactly, so he'll fit right in then.
  11. Melbourne seem to have a level of interest in the Tsatas camp. I'm not overly enamoured, but there might be a bit of a watch this space.
  12. 'Personality' hire due to a mullet and speed dealer sunnies who hasn't come on in terms of his AFL career...
  13. Based on what he's shown at AFL level, I truly struggle to see him on an AFL post the expiration of his current contract. I'll say it again, I find this draft selection one of the more baffling ones we've made recently. He's young, I'll give him that and potentially, it's not an insurmountable mountain to climb; but it's heading that way. We'll see what King has in store for him.
  14. Was about to say the same!
  15. Cue the Morris haters.
  16. Rachele and Koz together is pretty tantalising. I also like the age profile of Rachele, would give a decade of service and likely 'peak' when we're back in the window (IMO).
  17. You can definitely infer that this may have played a part, although it would probably be fair to suggest that whilst it may not be a causative reason, it's still an enabling one. I'm probably agnostic on it, but it's fair point you've raised.
  18. The knock on Rachele is 'strange' to say the least. I'll be in the minority here, but if the substantive trade was Pick 14 + Rachele for Petracca, I'd be taking that and running.
  19. Are we cracking the tonne on this bad boy, or what?
  20. This is all just media muckraking though, right?
  21. Please. My comment has nothing to do with the poster on this forum, but this reaction from people, that he somehow is under obligation to inform someone of his contractual status and intention is puerile.
