AFL Draft 2025: Phantom Drafts
11. SAM CUMMING184cm Midfielder/Forward, North Adelaide Drafted: MELBOURNEWe say: There is a question mark over whether Cumming gets past Essendon, with the Bombers also believed to be keen. But the Demons would be delighted if he does slip through, with rival clubs believing he is Melbourne’s No. 1 target. A fierce competitor who has been likened to former Crow Rory Sloane, Cumming has power, speed and plenty of class. Originally from Wentworth in New South Wales, he moved to Adelaide for school and served as a vice-captain of South Australia at the under-18 national championships. Cumming looks to be an ideal pick for the Demons as the club seeks to rejuvenate its midfield after the off-season departures of Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver. He would be a third high-end midfielder drafted in the past two years, following Harvey Langford (pick 6) and Xavier Lindsay (pick 11) last year. 12 12. LACHY DOVASTON178cm Forward, Eastern Ranges Drafted: MELBOURNEWe say: While the Demons are all over Cumming, what they do with their second pick is a touch less clear. They have been linked to a tall and have done their work on Schubert, while Archie Ludowyke has been another name floated. But if Essendon get to Schubert first, Melbourne might change tact. The Demons have been linked to small forward Latrelle Pickett, who is a cousin of Kysaiah and a player they would love in their line-up. But it might be a bit early for that. It is not too early for Dovaston, though, who is the best small forward in the draft class. Compared to Nick Watson, he applies good pressure, works hard up the ground and has great forward craft to hit the scoreboard in different ways. Dovaston kicked 38 goals from 16 games for the Ranges — the second-most in the Coates Talent League — and took out the agility test at the draft combine. He has also been linked to other clubs including Hawthorn and the Western Bulldogs, but the Dees have the chance to get in first. 34. CAMERON NAIRN188cm Forward, Central District Drafted: MELBOURNEWe say: The Demons would love if Latrelle Pickett slipped through to this pick, but that doesn’t look likely. They may still be able to add a quality forward in Nairn, though, who has drawn comparisons to Bayley Fritsch. At 188cm, Nairn measures exactly the same height as Fritsch and similarly possesses vice-like hands overhead, a big leap and an accurate boot. The South Australian recorded one of the best individual performances at the under-18 national championships with a seven-goal haul in a match against Western Australia. Along with his strong hands, he also has strong endurance to outwork opponents and finished fourth in the 2km time trial at the national draft combine. 2025 AFL Phantom Draft: See who ever club might pick | Herald Sun

I'll see what I can get together for you mate. Yeah, Wes Walley is an absolute classic. I wouldn't mind bringing him in on name alone!

Tairon Ah-Mu - No access for Dees NGA Talent
In terms of those profiles, neither White nor Ah-Mu were ranked in the top 50 of draft prospects for this year. Now, they're both notably different types of players so I'm not sure I would draw a strong comparison, but worth noting at least as a baseline. I've had a quick look through and whilst this isn't overly methodical in my approach, other prospects rated outside the top 50 who played in the Nationals had the following rankings: Riley Hamilton (FWD) 2025 National Champs 73 ranking points, 11.0 disposals, 6.5 score involvements, 1.8 goals, 1.3 score involvements (4 games) Brodie Atkins (MID) 2025 National Champs 102 ranking points, 22 disposals, 10.7 contested possessions, 1.3 marks, 5.3 clearances, 4 inside-50s, 7.3 tackles, 5.3 score involvements (3 games) Jett Dahlitz (DEF) 2025 National Champs 71 ranking points, 15 disposals, 3.3 marks, 1.0 intercept marks, 0.3 spoils, 1.5 tackles, 5.5 rebound 50s (4 games) Jack Cook (MID/DEF) 2025 National Champs 83 ranking points, 17.3 disposals, 2.8 marks, 3.8 clearances, 1.5 inside-50s, 3.8 tackles, 3 score involvements (4 games) Callum Smith (MID) 2025 National Champs 81 ranking points, 16.3 disposals, 3.5 marks, 3.3 clearances, 3.3 tackles, 4 score involvements, 0.5 goals, 0.8 score assists (4 games) Jesse Mellor (FWD) 2025 National Champs 82 ranking points, 11 disposals, 4.5 marks, 1.3 contested marks, 7.5 score involvements, 1.3 score assists, 2 goals, 2.5 tackles (4 games) Tylah Williams (FWD) 2025 National Champs 58 ranking points, 11.8 disposals, 4 marks, 2.8 score involvements, 0.8 goals, 0.8 score assists, 1.3 tackles (4 games) Kalani White (RUC/DEF) 2025 National Champs 37 ranking points, 7.5 disposals, 2.5 marks, 2.8 hitouts, 1.5 score involvements, 0.3 goals, 1.5 tackles (4 games) Wes Walley (FWD) 2025 National Champs 39 ranking points, 7 disposals, 2.8 marks, 3.5 score involvements, 0.5 goals, 0.8 score assists, 2 tackles (4 games) Isaac Weller (RUC) 2025 National Champs 46 ranking points, 6.5 disposals, 1.8 marks, 12.5 hitouts, 1.5 clearances, 2.8 score involvements, 2 tackles (4 games) Aaron Sharkie (DEF) 2025 National Champs 99 ranking points, 24.5 disposals, 81.6 per cent disposal efficiency, 5 marks, 2.5 clearances, 4.5 rebound 50s, 5 score involvements, 1.5 tackles (2 games) Jai Saxena (FWD) 2025 National Champs 62 ranking points, 11 disposals, 1.5 marks, 4 score involvements, 0.5 goals, 0.5 tackles (2 games) Bryce Sanders (DEF/FWD) 2025 National Champs 40 ranking points, 8.3 disposals, 2 marks, 0.5 intercept marks, 2.8 intercept possessions, 1.0 rebound 50s, 1.0 spoils, 0.5 tackles (4 games) Noah Roberts-Thompson (MID) 2025 National Champs 65 ranking points, 11.3 disposals, 3 marks, 1.3 clearances, 1.8 inside-50s, 6.3 score involvements, 1.5 score assists, 0.3 goals, 3.3 tackles (4 games) Tyan Prindable (MID) 2025 National Champs 114 ranking points, 19 disposals, 8.7 contested possessions, 2 marks, 2.7 clearances, 7 score involvements, 1.3 goals, 5.7 tackles (3 games) Zane Peucker (MID/FWD) 2025 National Champs 70 ranking points, 11.3 disposals, 1.8 marks, 2.3 inside-50s, 0.8 clearances, 5.5 score involvements, 1.3 score assists, 1.3 goals, 1.0 tackles (4 games) Hunter Holmes (MID) 2025 National Champs 68 ranking points, 14.3 disposals, 1.3 marks, 2 clearances, 4 inside-50s, 5.3 score involvements, 1.3 score assists, 0.3 goals, 1.3 tackles (3 games) Jack Miller (FWD) 92 ranking points, 14 disposals, 3.7 marks, 2.8 tackles, 5.7 score involvements, 1.7 goals (12 games) 2025 National Champs 65 ranking points, 12.8 disposals, 3.3 marks, 6 score involvements, 2 goals, 1.3 tackles (4 games) Thomas McGuane (MID) 2025 National Champs 58 ranking points, 16 disposals, 3.5 marks, 1.0 clearances, 2 inside-50s, 3.5 score involvements, 0.3 goals, 1.5 tackles (4 games) Louis Kellaway (MID) 2025 National Champs 101 ranking points, 19.3 disposals, 80.5 per cent disposal efficiency, 4.3 marks, 1.8 clearances, 3 inside-50s, 5.3 score involvements, 1.0 score assists, 3 tackles (4 games) Jasper Hay (DEF/RUC) 2025 National Champs 35 ranking points, 5 disposals, 1.0 marks, 0.5 intercept marks, 2.5 intercept possessions, 1.5 rebound 50s, 5 spoils, 0.5 tackles (2 games) Tyson Gresham (FWD) 2025 National Champs 57 ranking points, 12 disposals, 3.3 marks, 4 inside-50s, 0.7 clearances, 3.7 score involvements, 1.0 score assists, 0.7 goals, 2 tackles (3 games) Taj Murray (RUC/FWD) 2025 National Champs 82 ranking points, 8.3 disposals, 2.3 marks, 8.3 hitouts, 1.0 clearances, 4 score involvements, 1.3 goals, 1.7 tackles (3 games) Noah Chamberlain (DEF/FWD/MID) 2025 National Champs 55 ranking points, 9.5 disposals, 2.5 marks, 1.0 contested marks, 2.8 intercept possessions, 1.0 spoils, 2.8 score involvements, 0.3 goals, 1.8 tackles (4 games) Talor Byrne (FWD) 2025 National Champs 75 ranking points, 10.3 disposals, 4.3 marks, 6 score involvements, 2 goals, 0.7 score assists, 2.7 tackles (3 games) Oskar Ainsworth (FWD/MID) 2025 National Champs 34 ranking points, 4.5 disposals, 1.0 marks, 1.0 inside-50s, 3 score involvements, 1.5 score assists, 1.0 goals, 1.0 tackles (2 games) Players who have played forward are in red; also the list isn't exhaustive.

The Archie Ludowyke Thread
Scouting Notes 30/10/2025 19 - Archie Ludowyke Forward He was struck down by injury mid-year, but this key forward has still shown some exciting signs Club Sandringham Dragons / East Sandringham State VIC Height 197cm DOB 19/11/2007 Endurance / Mobility / Overhead Marking / Leadership Touted as one of the very top prospects coming into the year, 2025 didn’t quite go to plan for Ludowyke. He booted five goals for the Dragons in round 2 of the Coates Talent League and four more against the Calder Cannons in round 13. However, he had a quiet first two matches for Vic Metro in the under-18 national championships before suffering a PCL knee injury after flying for a mark in the second quarter of the side’s third match against the Allies. That injury sidelined Ludowyke for the rest of the year, including the national draft combine in October. But scouts still know what he offers. An athletic forward who looks up to GWS young gun Aaron Cadman, Ludowyke presents well on the lead, works up the ground like a good modern-day AFL key forward, flies for his marks and has high footy IQ. His leadership also grew to help instruct teammates and set up the forward structure for his side. 2025 Coates League 104 ranking points, 9.3 disposals, 5.3 marks, 1.3 contested marks, 0.7 tackles, 5.3 score involvements, 3.3 goals, 1.0 behinds (3 games) 2025 National Champs 32 ranking points, 4 disposals, 1.0 marks, 0.7 contested marks, 1.7 score involvements (3 games)

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 37
Don't want to unnecessarily derail this thread on Pick 37, but I've included his scouting notes below. Draft Power Rankings currently have him just inside the top 50, at Number 47. 47 - Fred Rodriguez Midfielder A natural-born leader who is lethal on both sides of his body, Rodriguez took out MVP honours for Western Australia Club South Fremantle / Fremantle City Dockers State WA Height 184cm DOB 10/07/07 Ball Winning / Kicking / Leadership / Pressure Rodriguez followed up an impressive bottom-age campaign with another consistent season playing for a range of teams. The combative midfielder was named the WA captain ahead of the under-18 national championships and led from the front, acting as a catalyst for their only win over Vic Country by booting two goals from 17 touches. While he played mostly onball during the tournament, he was named on a half-forward flank in the under-18 All-Australian side. Rodriguez possesses an impressive left and right foot, reminiscent of fellow WA-born Lawson Humphries, and he isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty defensively by laying strong tackles. He has a great blend of inside grunt and outside run as a midfielder - a trait few possess – along with exceptional workrate. Rodriguez mixed his time between playing for South Fremantle’s Colts, reserves and senior sides in the WAFL this year. He was named his side’s best player in a losing Grand Final against Claremont in the WAFL Colts in September, logging 25 disposals, nine clearances and one goal. Rodriguez put his aerobic capacity on display at the national draft combine in October, finishing seventh in the 2km time trial with a time of 6 min 20 sec. 2025 WAFL Colts 150 ranking points, 25.3 disposals, 2.9 marks, 7 clearances, 7.9 groundball gets, 6.1 inside-50s, 6.6 score involvements, 1.5 score assists, 1.0 goals, 5.5 tackles (8 games) 2025 WAFL 54 ranking points, 6 disposals, 3 marks, 1 clearance, 2 inside-50s, 4 score involvements, 1 goal, 1 score assists, 1 tackle (1 game) 2025 WAFL Reserves 84 ranking points, 12 disposals, 6 clearances, 7 groundball gets, 3 score involvements, 1 score assist (1 game) 2025 National Champs 108 ranking points, 18 disposals, 3.3 marks, 4.3 clearances, 4 inside-50s, 4 score involvements, 1.5 score assists, 0.5 goals, 4.5 tackles (4 games)

Tairon Ah-Mu - No access for Dees NGA Talent
Scouting Notes 30/10/2025 Tairon Ah-Mu Forward, Ruck A contested marking beast in attack, Ah-Mu has monstered more than a few opponents this year Club Dandenong Stingray / Berwick State VIC Height 198cm DOB 06/06/2007 Overhead Marking / Power / Versatility / Scoreboard Impact A big and powerful forward who can also rotate through the ruck, Ah-Mu has some impressive traits and has had some eye-catching moments and matches this year. He kicked six goals from 10 disposals and eight marks (five contested) in a trial match for Vic Country’s under-18s in April and went on to have a solid under-18 national championships campaign for the side. Ah-Mu kicked seven goals across Vic Country’s first three games, including two majors from 12 disposals and 10 marks (four contested) in the match against South Australia. Likened to Adelaide’s Riley Thilthorpe, his overhead marking is a clear strength but he also presents strongly on the lead and is a booming kick. When in the ruck, Ah-Mu competes well and can follow up at ground level to win clearances, but there is a knock on his running capacity. He finished the season with a bang for the Stingrays, logging 22 disposals, 12 marks, 13 score involvements, four goals and 199 ranking points in a quarter-final loss to GWV Rebels in the Coates Talent League. Ah-Mu also had some monster matches for Haileybury College in school football this season. Of Samoan decent, Ah-Mu’s father represented the island nation in both athletics and rugby. 2025 Coates League 122 ranking points, 15.3 disposals, 6.3 marks, 2 contested marks, 10.9 hitouts, 1.5 clearances, 2.1 tackles, 7.8 score involvements, 1.9 goals, 1.8 score assists (8 games) 2025 National Champs 74 ranking points, 10 disposals, 4.3 marks, 1.3 contested marks, 7 hitouts, 4.5 score involvements, 1.8 goals, 1.3 tackles (4 games)

The Kalani White Thread (F/S)
Scouting Notes 30/10/2025 Kalani White Ruck, Defender A raw but promising tall, White is set to follow in his father's footsteps at Melbourne Linked Clubs: Melbourne Club Gold Coast Suns Academy / Broadbeach State QLD Height 201cm DOB 05/05/2007 Versatility / Speed / Vertical Leap / Mobility A developing tall, White didn’t dominate this year but did show enough signs to suggest he could be a player of the future. An athletic player with good speed, an exciting natural leap and strong aerial abilities, he was trialed across all three areas of the ground. The AFL Academy member has never been a high accumulator of the footy but flies for the ball in the air and is a nice kick for a player of his size when he does win it. He also showed some handy ruck work at times. White played three VFL games for Casey in the second half of the season, collecting nine disposals, 11 hitouts and two goals in a round 12 debut against Essendon. While he has been in the Gold Coast Suns Academy since under-16s, it was announced in August that White had nominated for Melbourne as a father-son prospect in this year's draft. He is the son of former Demons ruckman Jeff, who played 236 games for the club. 2025 Coates League 95 ranking points, 12.3 disposals, 5.3 marks, 11 hitouts, 0.7 clerances, 2.7 tackles, 4.3 score involvements, 0.3 goals (3 games) 2025 VFL 25 ranking points, 5.3 disposals, 2 marks, 4.3 hitouts, 0.7 clearances, 0.3 tackles, 2.7 score involvements, 0.7 goals (3 games) 2025 National Champs 37 ranking points, 7.5 disposals, 2.5 marks, 2.8 hitouts, 1.5 score involvements, 0.3 goals, 1.5 tackles (4 games)

Tairon Ah-Mu - No access for Dees NGA Talent
APS Profile (10 September 2025) Tairon Ah-Mu (Haileybury College) "The Vic Country talent shapes as a promising ruck prospect heading into the draft after a strong APS campaign with the premiers. Ah-Mu’s tapwork in the ruck was strong and he gave Haileybury’s midfield plenty of first use, but he was also impactful around the ground and could take crucial marks either side of the ball."

AFL Draft 2025: Phantom Drafts
For readability it might be easier to amend this to only reflect teams with draft selections inside the top 30. It gets a bit messy seeing clubs mentioned in there as having multiple picks etc then only one pick reflected due to the methodology.

The Aidan Schubert Thread
Scouting Notes 31/10/2025 - Aidan Schubert Ruck, Forward Another mobile tall with a basketball background, Schubert shot up draft boards during the national championships Club Central District / Gawler Central State SA Height 197cm DOB 21/12/2007 Mobility / Overhead Marking / Scoreboard Impact / Endurance An exciting mobile tall, Schubert prefers to play ruck but showed plenty with his work in the forward line for South Australia during the under-18 national championships. AFL scouts wanted to see what he could do in attack at national level and he didn’t take long to show them as he booted four goals from 14 disposals and eight marks in his state’s first game against the Allies. Along with his aerobic capacity, Schubert’s contested marking is a major feature of his game and his kicking is good for a player of his size. He also showed his competitive nature and some good tap and follow-up work rotating as back-up ruckman. Schubert was dominant at SANFL under-18 level with Central District this year, including a 17-disposal, 11-hitout, six-clearance and four-goal game against South Adelaide in round 4. He kicked 28.21 from 13 games, while also booting one more goal in a senior SANFL debut against Norwood in round 20. The performances at under-18 level saw him win the SANFL U18 MVP Award at the end of the season, before he put his mobility on show by placing equal-eighth in the 2km time trial at the national draft combine with a time of 6 min 21 sec. A former junior basketball star, Schubert represented SA Country at the 2024 Australian U18 Men’s National Basketball Championships before choosing to focus on football this year. He is one of the youngest players in this year’s draft pool, not set to celebrate his 18th birthday until December 21. 2025 SANFL 53 ranking points, 8 disposals, 4 marks, 4 inside-50s, 2 score involvements, 1 goal (1 game) 2025 SANFL U18s 154 ranking points, 19.2 disposals, 9.8 contested possessions, 7.5 marks, 4.4 clearances, 3.1 inside-50s, 1.5 tackles, 8.8 score involvements, 2.2 goals, 1.4 score assists (13 games) 2025 National Champs 133 ranking points, 17 disposals, 7 marks, 2.8 contested marks, 7 hitouts, 8.8 score involvements, 2.5 goals (4 games)

The Xavier Taylor Thread
Scouting Notes 31/10/2025 - Xavier Taylor Defender Winning the ball back across half-back is so important in modern football and Taylor does that exceptionally well Club Eastern Ranges / East Ringwood State VIC Height 192cm DOB 30/01/2007 Intercepting / 1 on 1 Defending / Run & Carry / Footy IQ A defender whose stocks rose during his national championships campaign for Vic Metro, Taylor stopped plenty of opposition forays forward. He defends well one-on-one, reads the play nicely to get to the right spots and intercept the footy and displayed some desperate defensive actions. A Richmond supporter who looks up to Nathan Broad, Taylor is a task-oriented player. His offensive game was a weakness coming into the year but has improved, which has seen him provide more run and carry on the way out when he does win the ball back. Taylor was particularly impressive in Vic Metro’s last two games of the championships, winning 16 disposals, eight marks (two intercept marks) and five spoils in the final match against Vic Country. He also played some strong football in the Coates Talent League this year, including in a round 7 match where he took on Sydney Swans Academy forward Max King and finished with 24 disposals, 12 marks (four intercepts) and five tackles. Taylor was named in defence in the Coates Talent League Team of the Year and won the best-on-ground medal in the competition’s Grand Final in September. He patrolled the back half and controlled the air in that match, finishing with 25 disposals, 15 marks (four intercept marks) and two spoils. Taylor also impressed at the national draft combine in October, placing third in the agility test with a time of 7.869 sec. 2025 Coates League 106 ranking points, 18.3 disposals, 6.4 marks, 3.4 rebound 50s, 2.7 intercept marks, 7 intercept possessions, 2.5 spoils, 2.8 tackles (17 games) 2025 National Champs 84 ranking points, 15 disposals, 4.5 marks, 3.5 rebound 50s, 1.5 intercept marks, 5.8 intercept possessions, 3.5 spoils, 2 tackles (4 games)

AFL Draft 2025: Phantom Drafts
2025 AFL Draft - Melbourne Demons Focus Highly recommend watching this MFC draft focus from Jess at True Footy and Dylan Alexander, some very good analysis and a pretty decent understanding of where we sit. Have around 20 mins spare, it's pretty in-depth compared to a lot of other content out there. I can never work out how to embed the YouTube videos on here, so someone else feel free to repost the actual video.

The Latrelle Sumner-Pickett Thread
Agree and given we've knocked back discussions with some other clubs for similar trades it would be very unlikely we'd go down this route IMO.
-
The Latrelle Sumner-Pickett Thread
I'd suspect we'd be looking at another future first to move like that, but if it netted us Robey I'd be very, very tempted to seriously look at that.
-
The Latrelle Sumner-Pickett Thread
That's the plan by all reports, I don't see us moving either of 7 or 8. The clear standout for mine is Robey, but that's hardly unique I think there's almost general consensus on that. Presuming he's gone, I'd be happy with two of Grlj, NHH, Lindsay, X Taylor (doesn't overly fit needs and list though), O Taylor, Sharp or CDT (no chance he'll be there though). I agree we need a small forward, but from the limited footage of Dovaston I've seen, I just wasn't overly drawn in by what I saw.
-
The Latrelle Sumner-Pickett Thread
So just to be clear, the part about looking at LSP at Pick 8 is purely my opinion, I could be totally wrong on that. It's just based on how I see the stars aligning if we're unable to bring forward the Gold Coast F1. It's not necessarily what I'd do, but I personally wouldn't be taking Dovaston either. What I would say is that we have at times been happy to 'over-pay' for a player we've identified and set our sites on though. Pickett was projected to be a pick between the 25 - 40ish mark and Tholstrup was 15 - 30ish.

The benefits of moving him on with us paying part of his salary, far outweigh the potential benefits of him staying and both Oliver and the MFC not finding him a new home. Even if he returns to his BnF and AA output, this was far bigger than that.

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
I've seen a few of this guys videos, and whilst I don't necessarily want to pot a young bloke trying to make some content, his 'analysis' is consistently very poor. Highly recommend True Footy and Dylan Alexander.

The Latrelle Sumner-Pickett Thread
Pick 16 would be in the general vicinity of where we'd be looking to move, based on what I've heard (apologies if I'm repeating what is posted on BF). Nominally if GC finished around the same mark next year and we received Pick 8 from them, Pick 8 and 37 would see us giving up 1740 points of capital in return for Pick 16 (924 points). I think we'd definitely want some back-end shuffling our way, but of course I'd caveat that by saying it really depends how much we rate Pickett. What I'm about to say is completely my take, but I would go as far to say that if we're unable to move capital around in order to take both 7 and 8 to the draft this year, in addition to moving into that second order of say Pick 12 - 20ish, then we may even considering taking Sumner-Pickett at 8. I think we're really enamoured by him so we could potentially see both Cummings and Sumner-Pickett come to us if we're not able to move.

The Latrelle Sumner-Pickett Thread
I haven't read that thread and I have no clue when it was posted, but I have heard this and have respect for where it's come from. I'd suspect it would probably require something minor on top, but we are massively in the hunt for Pickett and are seeking to move into the second order of the first round in order to get him on the list. Every chance this happens, especially given that there's a few clubs who would much rather trade into next years first round than stay in this years.

Scouting Report 30/10/2025 Latrelle Pickett Forward An overage prospect who is a cousin of Melbourne’s Kysaiah, this South Australian kicks goals for fun. Club Glenelg State SA Height 182cm DOB 28/12/05 Speed / X Factor / Scoreboard Impact / Mobility An overage prospect, this elusive goal sneak was originally draft eligible in 2023. He had been part of Port Adelaide’s Next Generation Academy, but featured in only three under-18 games for Norwood in his draft year. Most of that season was spent playing local football for Tumby Bay in the Great Flinders Football League. Pickett continued at local footy level in 2024, kicking 28 goals from 15 games for Tumby Bay, before shifting back to the SANFL to join Glenelg this season where he caught the eyes of AFL recruiters. He showed some similar traits to his cousin – Melbourne star Kysaiah Pickett – with his speed, agility, leap and smarts in the forward half. Pickett also proved to be a consistent goalkicker. He kicked three majors in a standout U18 v U20 South Australian game early in the year and bagged four goals from 16 disposals in an eye-catching senior SANFL debut in round 19. That was one of three senior games for the year, with Pickett playing 18 matches for Glenelg’s reserves side for a return of 32 goals. He booted four majors in the reserves Grand Final in September, showing off his dancing feet and elite side step and candy-selling abilities. Pickett was invited to the state draft combine. 2025 SANFL 66 ranking points, 10 disposals, 1.7 marks, 1.7 clearances, 2.3 inside-50s, 1.7 tackles, 4.3 score involvements, 1.7 goals, 1.3 score assists (3 games)"

The Oskar Taylor Thread
Scouting Notes 30/10/2025 "This transformed defender bolted into draft calculations in the second half of the year, catching the eye with his athletic attributes. Club Eastern Ranges / South Belgrave State VIC Height 183cm DOB 1/8/2007 1 on 1 Defending / Kicking / Run & Carry / Speed A rebounding defender who rapidly rose up draft boards in the second half of the season, Taylor transformed his game nicely this year. He started the season as more of a role player who had a defensive-first mindset down back, but he added more counter-attack to his game as his confidence grew. While not part of Vic Metro’s squad for the under-18 national championships, Taylor snagged a state combine invite on the back of his form for the Eastern Ranges in the Coates Talent League. He showed himself to be a player who could win one-on-one contests, take intercept marks and break the lines with his speed and nice left-foot kick coming out of the back half. Taylor was also exposed to a few midfield rotations late in the season and was able to impact there as well. He was part of the Ranges’ side which surged to a premiership in September and recorded 21 disposals and six intercept possessions in the Grand Final, during which he aggressively pushed up the ground and worked off opponents well. Taylor received a late call-up to the national draft combine in October and shone brightly, recording the top time in the 20m sprint (2.823 sec) and placing second in the agility test (7.840 sec). 2025 Coates League 97 ranking points, 20.5 disposals, 3.9 marks, 1.1 intercept marks, 5.1 intercept possessions, 3.2 rebound 50s, 0.9 spoils, 2.3 tackles (17 games)."
