Just watched Swans President who had a crack at the Eagles after they won the 06 flag & then bottomed out & got early picks including priority pick. He said the Swans have too much pride & strong culture to go down that path, & worked very hard after retirements from senior players after 05 flag era, to find players who could be developed from existing clubs. Longmire also said that senior players in leadership group set the std for younger & new players coming into club. This is how you set Culture! MFC take note there is no easy way out with early picks!

Our club has lost its soul & created a culture of tanking thinking that this would bring success! ( present coaching/footy dept not incl) Melb,Hawks,& Saints have had a large number of early picks & priority ones too but yet only 1 flag between 3 clubs The Swans have continued to bring players from other clubs & turn them around. Morton a reject from Richmond, Shaw from Coll, Richards ess etc I would love to have what they have & its called Culture & playing for it other & buy in & belief no individuals

Compare the amount of early picks from Melb & Hawks?

Concerning that we continue to lose experience! Why can the Swans have 2 x 300 game players?

Just ask the Swans on how to recruit players from other clubs & turn them around!

Takes more than a few extra $$$ to win finals! Its attitude! Moloney & Sylvia wouldnt get a game with their attitudes!

Players of Melbourne take note! Strong Culture......why? All work hard for each other.....why? Have never bottomed out.....why? No pick 1s or tanking.......why? Turn rejected players from other clubs into great players... why? Two 300 gamers playing like champions....why? Last 2 senior coaches from within......why? CULTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Early draft picks are no guarantees! Saints had plenty but yet no flag to show for! Geelong picks generally were in the teens & 20s but development & culture resulted in 3 flags! Would love to here from the club & state reasons as to why a bf in 2011 Moloney is gone & so many of our picks have failed? Was our culture that poor? Just want to know how after playing in finals in 06 the club has been a train wreck!

The drafting over the last 5 yrs has been a disaster & will set back the club 5yrs!Understand that not all picks work out but too many misses makes it comical & talk of Gysberts going also a pick 12! Morton pick 4- a dud Brock pick 3or 5- gone Cook pick 11- gone Maric pick 20- gone Dunn,bate teen picks-dudds Sylvia pick 3 or 5 beeon at club 8yrs very hot & cold! Moloney vice captain, 2011 BF - gone Watts- school boy vs men can contest! We a train wreck! I feel for Neeld & co.... another rebuild WTF!!!!!

We need answers & Neeld needs to explain why within 12mths we have lost a former Captain & Vice Captain! Just appears that they both just didnt want to play for him

School boy playing against men! Getting cheap possessions playing as a lose man in defence! Needs to get his hands dirty!

Members have right to be angry/frustrated at our recruiting which has been disastrous over the last decade! Nothing can be done know but it will take another 3-5 yrs of good drafting just to catch up. How much can we take watching our team who is not afl level...... Im a paid up member 15yrs & have supported them from 1970 as a young boy. Its only so much people will take before they stop turning up.

How much can members/supporters put with watching a team which is not of AFL standard? Hate to say it but if we are sitting 0-10 in 2013 & Neeld will be shown the door Our recruiting since 07 has been a disaster & will take any 5 yrs of good recruiting just to catch up! Watts looks like a school boy playing against men & has no courage. Moloney will probably go to Sydney & they will turn him around like many others...... funny thing strong culture what it does.

Great coach but didnt make hard decisions to trade players with currency to get players who could take us to the next level Eg Yze,White all retired & we lost Jolly who know is a 2 time premiership player

Current form suggest he cannot provide a contest at AFL level Was drafted as a KPP but as stated above has poor core strength & looks like a boy vs men when playing When you compare Natanui its like chalk & cheese..... why they didnt pick Nic is beyond me! Hope Im wrong but cant seem him making it at this level Eg Jones looked ready to play in his first year in 07 This sums up MFC drafting in the last 5 yrs!

The people responsible if still at the club should resign! As this has done massive damage to our culture> Whilst Brock may not be the A grader midfielder, to lose a player over this & hear him say that it was against his standards & the way he plays the game is an absolute disgrace & no doubt caused massive long term damage. Carlton tanked but they managed the process a lot better. The club needs to come out & either defend Or admit it.

Its unfortunate & unfair for Neeld who has inherited a poor list from the crap draft selections since 07. When you look at other players from same drafts they are far more advanced. We suffer from speed & the ability to cut thru the lines & spread quickly. The problem the club faces is how long can supporters put up with getting flogged each week? Maybe Neeld is not the right coach for this list & were it needs to get to. Not saying he cant coach but maybe in a more advanced list he would do better? I can see another coach getting the flick if results continue the same way in yr2. Many high end supporters have sunk millions into saving & clearing the debt. Dont agree with it but a reality of life that emotions come into it & the rumbling starts.

I know hindsight is a great thing any most clubs have early picks that fail but WTF the MFC just continue to get it wrong & when you look at the top clubs they get more right than wrong! In fairness Tapscott & Gysberts will be good but the other decisions with early picks is absolute disaster!

Amazing that our best player Clark has come from another club!

The club needs to desperately chase free agency players that will inject class & match winners or supporters will stop coming to games & membership will drop off affecting the bottom line. Our supporter base will not put up with another 2-3 yrs of winning 2-5 games a year. Serious questions need to be asked as to how our so called leaders who were winning ball just last year are now sitting in Casey, how we have gone from an attacking team who couldnt defend to a team that cant do either! The members have paid over 5 mill to pay our debt off, more money on the footty dept, training facilities. I only hope that the tide will turn for Neeld........but I look at Adelaide who have gone from below us to top 4 with a new coach. How long can members put up with this?
