POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Totally agree. See Sydney, Essendon, even Hawthorn games. Then Jake produced the offensive kick of the year to Max in round 23. Although maybe Harmes to Fritta tops it. BTW, has anyone else had the thought that the unarguable turning point of the Grannie, the Harmes steal, was number 4 to number 31 to turn the game, which by jumper number is Norm Smith to Ron Barassi!

And on the basis of all that, how great and important and sublime was Jake Lever’s kick to Max! The Kick That Won the Flag.

Fool's gold
But of course, if we take Wines we probably don't finish exactly where we did that year, we improve more quickly and probably don't get in a position to take Petracca, Brayshaw and Oliver...

Right, I get you. I thought OP meant current streak, but you are right.

Correct, but I took the question of "streak" as meaning consecutive wins without a loss...

It's currently 2. 2006 and 2018. We lost EFs in 2004 and 2005. Surely not the record holder. Prior to 2004 though I believe we'd never lost an Elimination Final.

Pathway to the Premiership
I’ve been thinking about this. Not just coached, but each coached the next to a premiership. You could add Checker Hughes coached Norm Smith, who coached… Also suggests there’s a future premiership coach currently in our playing group. Any suggestions?

Carlton to get on the 'selfless' bandwagon
Remember when the narrative was a decade of rivalry between Melbourne and St Kilda given their young lists brimming with talent. Around 2006 EF time.

Prediction: We will have won the most VFL / AFL premierships by the end of this decade.
First thing is to get to 15 to catch Collingwood

Maxy didn't have his usual influence either, other than staying out of Jackson's way!

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Remember when we only beat teams that had their star players out (Cameron, Dangerfield, Dunkley, McCrae)? Remember when we had a dysfunctional forward line? Remember when we "won't beat XXX next week on their own deck playing like that? Remember September 25, 2021.
