There is no doubt Dunn plays differently for Melbourne than he does with Casey. I think it is more than just the quality of opposition, it seems to me that he stops attacking. When he plays for Casey he takes the game on, for Melbourne he plays 100% defensive. That said, I also think we need to bring in a tagging player and while Bartram performs that role I would prefer to see Dunn as our main tagging player because he can kick, he just needs to learn to play both ways.

Hold your nerve. Iknow it's tough when you see performances like last night but we can't go chasing older players just because we're scared of how we'll go next year. Hopefully this year there will be a good player wanting to come back to Melbourne, the important thing is that we show a bit if form so any potential player will want to play for us.

Yes, and don't handball/kick the ball at a player flat footed. Most of essendon's movement and pace was created because they kicked to allow the recieving player to run onto it, too often our players look like they are ust trying to get rid of the ball without any consideration to how it will be recieved.

My preffered method of tanking would be to train the players too hard during season. On one of the thousand or so footy related talk shows around I heard Tom Harley talk about how mid-week training isn't about ball-busting, spew inducing training. Which got me thinking that training too hard would 1: result in a loss more often than not and 2: fasttrack player's fitness and strength for the season we actually want to win. It is the equivelant of altitude training. I'm hoping Bailey came up with this idea some time ago (maybe in a powerpoint )and that is why we are losing.

The interview with little Grimes was fantastic. Considering how much I rate Jack I would think he is worth a punt at pick 34. Jack should get in his ear, tell him to shank a few kicks and give up a few goals. Then pick him up at pick 50/60+.

Interesting way of looking at it. I would like to see how a stat like this correlates with form over a long period of time, and do it for all teams. There would be chicken or egg problems (which came first) with the result but still be interesting. Probably take a long time to sort through the data.
