Training - Thursday 9th May, 2013
skills32 replied to Rod Grinter Riot Squad's topic in Melbourne Demons
KD What is your assessment of Barry? Is he a keeper and if so when do you think he will get his chance? ie is he for real or just another project player? Ta -
Maybe he just thinks he knows.
-
Didn't feel like it so went to WA instead

I wonder what all the naysayers who incidentally have NFI will have to say about the boys now.

Joe Pesci is the man we need.

Dank was a qulaified pharmacist. So is Woosher.
-
So the only thing we did wrong is lie? Politicians legalised lying years ago.
-
Clubs statement to the ABC And the Melbourne Football Club has released a statement saying, "Steve Dank has never been employed by the Melbourne Football Club. All medical procedures involving the administration of supplements and medical substances have been and will continue to be under the supervision, direction and authority of the club doctor Dan Bates." Nothing wrong there; Dank not employed and the original spokesperson was not aware of player contact by Dank. The smog is worse here in Thailand than at the MFC. A media beat up. Nothing to answer to. AT least it wasn't pigs blood or colustrum.

What pisses me of is that he gave essendon better stuff than gave us.

Not snow but blow

[i[ playing him in defence is like playing Neitz in defence - a big white flag. How long have you been around? Neita excelled at CHB for the Dees; Wayne Carey nominated him as his hardest opponent ever. There were no white flags when he was in defence- not even for a point.

A CLUB IN CRISIS ... THE AFL MUST STEP IN

And then accuse us of tanking. -
Spot on , Footie is more mental than golf.

Only the second game I have been to and the first was a drubbing by WC in 2009. Sorry guys and gals must have put the moz on us. Two things really stood out to me 1. Tapscott really is a fervid Power supporter and 2. Not only were the team smashed but our cheer squad were humiliated by their opposition. And to think I had $20 on the Gold Coast all up MFC. All I can say is good grief
-
By not allowing Hogan to play can the AFL be accused of forcing us to tank again? ie resting our best players.
-
No they played today in a full game. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-02-23/fremantle-feels-the-heat

What I want to know is how the Crows and Freo can play a practice match, outside of the NAB cup, as they did today? Mmaybe we should play Cwood in one at Casey and pick up a few extra bucks.

'Cos we can't find one.

We used to call these games practice matches and they are designed for two purposes; 1. For the coaches to look at the new blood against some opposition 2. For the players to get some dare I say it match practice and get rid of any cobwebs. Nobody gave two hoots who won so long as the games achieved their purpose. They still are practice matches and are played for the same purpose. So why give even one hoot who won? Neeldy and co now have a pretty good idea of the clubs best 22 so I will comment on all things MFC football wise in April and I will forget I have read the inane ramblings here today and will read for the next few weeks. Has anyone heard the expression "March champions"?

You look around the internet and suddenly it leaps out at you. Replays at no cost. You little bewdiii. You get some beer, some food and settle in front of the computer and Press the play button. Sorry you are not entitled to watch this video as you are not in Australia. Oh well .......still got to drink the beer.

THE WILSON FILE - the arrogance at the heart of the innuendo

Things I'd like to see. Caroline Wilson sent back to the 1964 Grannie and then put into Ground Hog Day mode. Things I wouldn't like to see. Caroline Wilson's nude photos -
The AFL have won another. But are we talking about another cover up than they lost again. How do the AFL keep coming out on top when logic says 'you're gonna lose this one? Even up to last night Don McClardy was fire and brimstone talk and yet today he's 'we have to cop this on the chin'. Every thing from every body that I have read today has come across as contrived. CC is normally quite loquacious but today 'I accept the charges and penalties' and Bailey with so much more to lose folded over as well. If the theatrics were in aid of the AFL; sorry, but if I saw thru it, then so did many others. I understand that the AFL has to win these, one upmanship games so, would you as the AFL be satisfied with a lame conclusion; one that every one saw through, or should they have hired a couple of hollywood screen writers to come up with a Ben Hur finale? Seriously it is obvious that the AFL has considerable incentives to help dissenting clubs to change their mind. Take the QB game away or maybe allocate a couple of games at Casey etc. So by contriving to make a point they are manipulating the draw; who would take them on? Not even Eddie is that stupid.

Wilson Warts and All Witch-hunt Draws to Conclusion

Prettier than the real thing but. -
My something's wrong here antenna are twitching. $500,000 fine and from, everybody entitled to scream out loud and long, just a shrug of the shoulders and 'do you want cash or is a cheque OK?' Does not compute, just hit me one more time again oh and carlton, hawthorn and the rest are ok because clothier et al are too tired to investigate any more. Out of all the clubs that have contrived to not to win in exchange for draft picks, we are the only one to do some hard yards because a complaint was brought up in the media. I just hate it when a script plays out like it is written and every one wins. Oh and be sure we won too but I'm not sure what. Maybe debt forgiveness in return for keeping our mouths shut about the other tanking escapades. PS CW tried court more controversy by asking Don about Brock and was promptly put down by a 'every one has an opinion, so what?' DM 1 CW0
