  1. Are you a better coach than MN? Do you know more than MN? Just asking.
  2. The way I see it is that he has been hit by injuries in the last couple of years which has limited his output. He now has /is overcoming those injuries but has to regain his fitness and is starting from a long break back. Of course he is plodding now; that's why they have a preseason. Moloney and Morton were tapped on the shoulder but Flash wasn't; doesn't that tell you something? It tells me that the FD still see some value in him and I would rather believe their opinion, than a lot of you X spurts who appear to know better than the collective wisdom of our coaching staff. What about giving him the benefit of the doubt and HOPING that he can get fit enough to cause a bit of opposition damage next year. Mitch Clark is plodding/limping too but haven't read too many criticisms of that little snippet.
  3. yin v yan black v white night v day Toumpas reaction v Scully reaction Probably means " yay! out of Adelaide'
  4. Nothing. Certainly not worth opening a thread for. You must have been a Demonologist at one time.
  5. Vlastutin. A lot of mongrel about this kid. Apparently been pushing kids over since he was 4 yo and loving it.
  6. The way I see it regarding Tippett the answer is yes. Tippett wanted to leave Adelaide in 2009 when his contract was up but the Crows some how convinced him to stay; so he said but only for 3 years and then you must trade me to where ever I want to go. Nothing wrong with that; he didn't want to go into the draft and maybe finish up in woop woop land, he wanted a say in where he wanted to go. Now the best bet for him, in a draft, would be in the National Draft because no club in their right mind would take him as their first draft pick against the choice of the young talent in this years draft; which would make it a certainty that Sydney would pick him up as their 1st pick. They were prepared to trade him for their 1st round pick any way. But the AFL in their wisdom effectively barred him from participating in the ND. Irrespective of any involvement in 3rd party deals he was uncontracted and entitled to enter the draft. I understand that the AFL can ban clubs from competing in the draft by means of withdrawing draft picks but I don't think they can bar an out of contract player from entering the draft on the suspicion he might have done some thing wrong. Tippett to Sydney would make them virtually unbeatable in 2013 and the AFL wants to see the competition up in the air until the last quarter of the Grand Final. That way they can maximise their profits. So Tippett to Sydney is not an option in their eyes. So has the $$ signs in their eyes caused them to breach their own rules? Tippett's soly thinks so. http://www.theage.co...1119-29m9g.html Oh by the way how come Adelaide can participate in the draft but Tippett can't?
  7. Nothing unlucky there. He makes his own luck; look out next year.
  8. I give you Dean Bailey. First attempt at senior coaching and was not considered the best for the job and sacked. Then the team he was sacked from gets investigated for tanking. Gets an asst. coaching job with another team that becomes embroiled into salary cap investigations soon after. His future looks dark because; what team would employ a coach who has a history of investigations into the last two teams he has been associated with. Poor Dean must thik he has walked over a chinaman.
  9. If true, that piece of rubbish clearly shows that the leak source is from the AFl; probably the investigators.
  10. What was that line about having your cake and eating it too?
  11. Right now there is tremendous pressure on the AFL. To my mind the leaks have come from Hadda din order to justify his existence. I MFC are found guilty then the AFL face legal ramifications, which will be a can of worms, and if found not guilty then the MFC will go after the woman for damaging the brand which will embroil their employee who they will have to support. This will become known as Sirengate after Wilson who surely is one.
  12. I think that This will be his year because if not Neeld will delist him.
  13. I am not sure about Hogan being our first pick. I Know he is ours but do we lust sign him up or do we have to use a draft pick on him. If so why can't we use pick 88 or whatever on him?
  14. Robbie I really like the way Jones goes about his work and he gives it his all, and in saying so I don;t think he has another level. With Jonesy it is all or nothing. How ever I can see him combining with the newbies in such a way that Sewell, Mitchell etc will become redundant. I don't care who we pick at No 4 so long as he embraces Neeld's plan and is a team player and not some one who wants to make a name for himself.
  15. Apologies accepted Old Dee. Money where the mouth is. Six pack of Crownies says we play finals in 2013.
  16. I am well aware of the saying re 'long bows'. My reply to you was a metaphor implying that a repeat is a distinct possibility. All you have to do is compare MFC today to this time last year. BTW You also implied that I am a youngster or uneducated. I can remember black outs in the 2nd WW and started barracking for the Dees in 1947. So I guess that means the other; and that is a matter of opinion. It could be the difference between having the ability to read or not.
  17. Thank you. Now we have precedenceS.
  18. Not sure about bows but a long barrelled shotgun shoots straighter than a short barrel.
