Didn't see it, but I'd bet money she went off half cocked and abused him for going. Stupid fans on Twitter definitely do not help our cause.

If Clark returns in Melbourne but not for Melbourne then something has to have happened that we're not privy to. It makes no sense otherwise - we need him as a player and he's been a clear supporter of the club during his time out. It's not money either; we would be in a good position to pay him plenty. So either there's something we haven't been told, or Barrett is just a windbag. Both scenarios equally likely.

Desolation Boulevard ( Not Bob Dylan) the Dons version

He slipped over and got a regulation tackle to the neck. It was a genuine free kick every day of the week.
-
If that was a dive, we're watching different games.

Yep! I don't normally barrack for anyone in non-MFC games, but this has been huge and I can't help it. Reckon the fact that it's against Essendon that is making it doubly exciting for me.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA
Nasher replied to Moonshadow's topic in Melbourne Demons
He was implying that one gay man does not have the right to speak on behalf of the entire gay community. -
The word censor list comes from a common one used online. It misses some words and includes some others may not agree with (such is the nature of lists created by humans), and never gets reviewed. Next time, instead of chucking a nana about it, send Demonland or I a message about it and we'll review it.

I just find the whole topic tedious. I tip my hat to anyone who still feels passionately about it. I'm convinced he's gone and couldn't give a stuff anymore. Just feels like groundhog day with this club.

Three posters have posted over 100 posts in this thread (g'day nutbean, beelzebub and SPR). Felt I should finally open my account. Have some catching up to do, doubt I'll match nutbean's 152 posts though. I believe in James. Edit: Missed my name in the list - had 6 on the board already. Carry on.

I'm swamped by Hawthorn supporters at work and they drive me nuts. Was really hoping they'd be brought down a peg tonight. Pretty disappointed.

Off topic slightly, but I've removed the word "gay" from the auto-censor. It came in with a rather heavy handed list we installed a while ago. -
Personally I think #54 has had far too little love in recent years. All yours, Mitch!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA

I'd call that a footy reason, actually. -
Would love to hear more about the speeches. Normally I couldn't give a rats about what footballers have to say, but find these pre-prepared speeches at B&F nights tend to bring out the best. Hopefully they get uploaded to the MFC site today.

Dude.

Anyone got any football reasons for passing, or is it all just personal? -
Nitpicking I know, but Swan undoubtedly qualifies.
-
Embarrassed to say I've never heard of him. Have mostly been inside a cocoon this year, and the only Brisbane game I saw was when we played them.
-
They played 6 more games. It makes a big difference in an "everyone gets ranked" system. I don't reckon Burgs will be too far off, though surely McDonald was an oversight.
-
In 2014 he had 200 kicks to 185 handballs. Seems to a high ratio for someone whose first instinct is to hand off. In other seasons his kick to handball ratio has been even higher. Like most of the other people criticising his disposal, you're dead set just making stuff up to justify your bias. It's getting pretty tedious and was clearly not the intention for this thread.
-
Me too. It might be a little bit MFCSSish, but I'm setting my expectations very low to avoid disappointment (so the worst case is nothing, and best case is I'm pleasantly surprised). Even if he does sign up again, I'd think there's some doubt about whether he'll actually be physically or mentally capable of seeing a comeback through. I don't want to rain on others' parades though as others are clearly excited about the possibility of his return, so I'll only say this once and won't keep repeating myself.

Thanks guys. Sounds like it's probably a pass then.

Except for that other side that was worse.
