  1. He's in Perth, so it was before midnight when he posted there. Must be today then. Make with the F5 hitting, pantaloons!
  2. 34 out of 34 players believed they were going to get away with it? Nup. Can't believe that.
  3. That's still not 100% though, is it? 34/34 players not asking a question, raising a red flag, asking the AFLPA, talking to anyone about it outside the Essendung bubble... Too hard to believe for mine. Either it's not true and someone's covering something up, or the players had reason to believe everything was legitimate.
  4. I don't think it makes a lick of difference what the supporters expect. The only thing my expectations influence is my level of disappointment when they're not met (or my level of happiness when they're exceeded).
  5. That's really the bit I've never understood, Jarka. You would think if anything smelled even slightly funny, at least one of the 34 players would've raised an alarm. I just can't believe that every single one of the players would be complicit. It doesn't make sense.
  6. As much as I enjoy seeing Essendon, Hird and Little get flogged, and would love to see them stuck on the bottom of the ladder and broke for a few years, I can't disconnect that from the players who have been completely and utterly screwed over here. Maybe fatherhood has done something to me but I always find myself looking at it through the eyes of a parent, and if it were one of my sons at the footy club I'd be furious beyond belief at the contempt in which these egomaniacs are treating their players with. They got completely pilloried in the court and they're still continuing with their denial tactics, while the future of a large group of their players are still at risk. The latest player comments show just how brainwashed these blokes have been by the EFC.
  7. His trade value will never be higher! Because trading players is like the stock market! Sell, sell, sell!
  8. Couldn't be happier for Nev. A-grade person made of the right stuff - always wanted him to make it due to his tenacity and aggression, but didn't think he would. Well done.
  9. Roos at Sydney showed that there are plenty of players looking ordinary that can be helped to thrive in the right environment. Ted Richards and Josh Kennedy are the two that stick out in my mind. Doesn't mean we need to look at every struggler in the game, but we should at least be on the lookout. You're right in that there's always a risk that they'll be rubbish here if they're rubbish there, doesn't mean we shouldn't look though. And developing underachievers from outside doesn't mean we can't develop our own at the same time as we have with Neville Jetta. I reckon most of ours are lost causes though.
  10. I'd be really sorry to see Hawthorn lose this game. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh god, I just can't say it with a straight face.
  11. If that were the case I expect he'd have has his captain duties relinquished when Trengove did.
  12. I turned the TV off at 3/4 time in that game and have tried to block it from my memory since.
  13. Thanks, didn't think that seemed right, but I just assumed the data I looked at was correct. Doesn't change my point much anyway.
  14. Buntine was supposedly part of a trade package with GWS last year, but we ended up with some other GWS spud instead. Didn't play a game this year and has a total of 9 to his name Played 7 games this year for a total of 16. Don't know anything at all about him so I can't comment on what he'd add, but I can't imagine he'd cost much now.
  15. I agree that it was boring, but I don't think it was due to the game feeling artificial, it was because one of the team advanced too far in the series for their talent level, and got an education from a truly classy contender. I thought the quality of the finals so far this year have generally been pretty good.
  16. Demonland has a lot of active members, and as such, pretty much every conceivable view gets some air time. And funnily enough, everyone thinks their own view is the right one. Any time someone puts a view forward, it's pretty reasonable to expect someone to disagree. It's what forums are all about.
  17. Honeymoon's over for North you'd think. I've watched both their finals so far and they'd been good, but the Swans are just a class above. So jealous.
  18. As amusing as that exchange was, Moneider96 has been banned for a week. Next time just send me a PM and ask instead of polluting a perfectly clean thread. With your 92.5% uni grades, you should be able to manage that.
  19. Really disappointing year I thought. He's got pace and has shown ball winning ability before, just didn't fire a shot this year. He's meant to be a hard working outsider; Ro Bail showed that you don't need heaps of skill to play this role in our side at present. Last roll of the dice in 2015. I don't think he'll be delisted while contracted but it may at least be considered.
  20. There is absolutely no reason to kick the guy. He's gone.
  21. When have we ever asked for our defenders to beat the world anyway? They need to beat their man, and know when to help their teammates beat their man. McDonald does these.
  22. I'm a huge fan, even if he does have some head-in-hands moments with the ball. I love a KPD who I can trust to win contests.
  23. The most over-criticised player on our list after Watts.
