He's a restricted free agent at the end of this year. I'm guessing if he hardly plays in 2020, then Essendon won't get that much compensation for him, unless the bid is ridiculously high (in which case the Swans would have to be basically stupid). If he doesn't play much this year because of OP, I'm also doubtful that the Swans will even renew their offer.
-
Would they get a top 5 pick for Daniher? If he hardly plays any games over 2-3 years, it's hard to see.

Hmmm ... the MCFSS is strong in this one. ?

I like it. My young grand kids love it. No sooner has the BBL finished, they've stopped playing cricket and they're out there with their Demons jumpers on and No. 6 on the back playing AFLW.

I'm not the one with "old" in my user name. ?

You know Old Dee ... I don't think the AFLW gives a stuff what old blokes like you think. "There’s a huge pack of insecure men on social media who will always hate #AFLW. If it’s not the “poor skills”, the “soccer scores” or the “ground is too big” it’ll be something else. There’ll always be something else. On and on forever. And yet, the league keeps growing. Love it." Sean Carney

We're equal with St Kilda for the least number of players 27+ (8).

Any old editor worth their salt will tell you that to be grammatically correct, the only use of an ampersand ("&") is in names and titles, like "Smith & Jones", "Crosby Stills Nash & Young" or "R&D". Otherwise, the ampersand (or a plus sign) is never used as a subsititute for "and". -
Then the others are the ones who are really "nonplussed". nonplus verb: surprise and confuse (someone) so much that they are unsure how to react. Similar: confused, bewildered, bemused, puzzled, perplexed, baffled, stumped, mystified, stupefied, muddled, befuddled, fuddled, dumbfounded, at sea, at a loss, at sixes and sevens, thrown (off balance), taken aback, disoriented, disconcerted, discomposed, troubled, discomfited, unnerved, shaken, shaken up, dazed, stunned, surprised, astonished, astounded, flummoxed, bamboozled, discombobulated, clueless, fazed, floored, foxed, bushed, distracted noun: a state of being very surprised and confused.

I thought I was getting old when I saw draftees that were born in 1970.
-
Be good if Trent Rivers plays like Shaun Burgoyne, Jordan Lewis and Lachie Whitfield!
-
I rated the draft an A because I think it's time we were a bit "on the edge" and took a risk about our selections instead of selecting all midfielders (all of whom "play like Cripps" when most probably won't). But I don't see how you can fully rate a draft until a few years down the track. The day after the draft it's still just based on hope. Go back to stories about "re-rating the (insert year here) draft" and see how differently things turned out when players actually had a career.
-
Thirteen of the first 15 players selected in the draft are going interstate to play. Obviously clubs don't rate the "go home factor" as much as you do.
-
Not to mention that when the season did start we had on average 13-15 players unavailable every week.

Blair Campbell also ran the Sunday afternoon Hedgeley Dene footy comp for local kids!

There's also a lot of frontal lobe development occurs in young men between the age of 18 and 27. And a lot of positive influence from a good woman. -
It was only a week or two ago that there reports on how Lever and a bunch of others were doing their own training even before the pre-season had started. And I believe some had gone to the USA for specialised training of their own accord. Now you're criticising them for not coming back before they have to?

They used to call it "fartlek" once.

If the AFL was in charge of the Melbourne Cup, they'd put the most weight on the slowest horses.

Poll: Who do you want with our first two picks?

I like the idea of Young and Jackson For no other reason that when they retire they could buy a pub. -
Indeed. There were no 3-4 goals a game forwards like Lynch, Kennedy, Hawkins, Brown etc. Just 1-2 goal journeymen like Jenkins and Bruce. Not too fussed we missed them.
-
Beats me how Carlton gets rated so highly when all they got was a VFL ruckman and a 33-year-old Eddie Betts.

If all it took was my best golf shot, I could be playing on the PGA Tour.
