Training Ground?
I'm full of unbridled enthusiasm.

Training Ground?
The time frame was always 12 months for the feasibility study (just done), and then 12 months for the business case.

Training Ground?
You don't reckon that Mt Scopus hasn't worked it out? "There are currently 1210 students enrolled at Mount Scopus’ three campuses – in Burwood, Caulfield South and St Kilda East. Annual fees are more than $42,000 for senior levels. Scopus Foundation president David Gold said establishing a campus closer to the Jewish community would result in a drop in fees, as families would no longer pay $3000 annually to bus students to its main campus in Burwood."

They've got three other campuses that they are going to consolidate. What's land worth in Burwood, Caulfield South and Elsternwick?
-
Training Ground?
The Scopus land is 7.5 hectares or about 1500 x 500m2 house blocks. So that's $130,000 per block. If you can get a block that size in Glen Eira City for that much money go for it! 😄 At the same time, it's about 0.2% of the Glen Eira City total area (3900 hectares). Why would they have a great say in council meetings? I'd be more worried about the increased traffic in the roads outside. We can always find some "concerns" and "issues" with any proposal.

Training Ground?
A decent sized football oval is about 20,000 m2 if you include sufficient area around the perimeter. If you look at the racing club's plan, the ovals they propose in the middle of the track are far wider than the land proposed for the school.

Training Ground?
Here's the diagram from the racing club's master plan. The two areas discussed here as possible sites for the MFC are the Recreation Administration Precinct (grey) and the Indoor Recreation Precinct (bottom). Both have ready access the ovals, and are not affected by any areas sold to Mt Scopus. The Indoor Recreation Precinct has some trees that need "consideration".

This is the pre-training discussion. Training doesn't start until 10.00. 😛

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 4th December 2024
Maybe working with the defenders is a way for someone in a wing role to better understand the transition out of defence.

Welcome to Demonland: Aidan Johnson
He's now a Melbourne player and I support him. You can't trust in Jason Taylor's belief in potential only when it suits you.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 11th November 2025
The Dalai Lama said of today's training: "In order to carry a positive action we must develop here a positive vision" and "Old friends go, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend - or a meaningful day.

Will DEMONLAND be subject to the social media age restriction ban?
No. Too much writing. We need Demontiktok. 😁

Pert and Roffey - The Review Thread
So despite agreeing, as I understand it, to the first three points of Mr Lawrence's case, namely: The practice of fulfilling casual vacancies before shortly before an election where those appointed then nominate for the upcoming election, Failing to properly notify all members when nominations for board elections were open, Board endorsement of the existing directors running for election The board has now gone back to the previous practice of fulfilling casual vacancies before an election and endorsing existing directors. Along with the Oliver trade mess of 2023-24, the Petracca mess in 2024, the JS affair, the Oliver trade talk again now, board resignations, the diminished performance this year, the lack of independence in the review, the other court cases, and the continual delay to a training base (it's still just a concept), tell me why the board is doing such a great job? Just interested as a "neutral supporter" observer in all this. ,

Season 2024 Over for Clayton Oliver
Possibly for the whole team, but not just one player.

Season 2024 Over for Clayton Oliver
Okay, if your disposal efficiency is 50% and you bump it up to 54%, that's two better kicks or handballs in a 25-disposal game.

Season 2024 Over for Clayton Oliver
Over his career Clayton Oliver is rated elite for Disposals (28.5), Handballs (16.9), Tackles (5.8) and Total Clearances (6.6). He is very good for Kicks (11.5), probably because as an inside mid who wins a lot of clearances he handballs more. If you've had him in your AFL Fantasy, he's been elite at that too, with an average of 100.5.

Season 2024 Over for Clayton Oliver
Huge? A 4% improvement is just one kick or handball in a 25-disposal game.

NON-MFC: Finals Week 01
So you'd prefer 47,000 fewer people to be able to see the match?
