  1. I got the definite feeling from listening to Goody's press conference that he actually prefers the 10-day break (with 4 days off) because it is less impactful on their continuity than a 14-day break, and the fact they are training a few times before the Thursday match (including at GMHBA) will be better than losing training time. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  2. We had a 15% success rate everywhere since 2000, at least up to 2018. 😄
  3. Well, it's not the player old boys. That's the point of the article. Didn't we get into more trouble when we had a lot of old boys that were too involved in the club?
  4. Nothing like a 10-goal win at the MCG over poor interstate opposition to deceive Carlton into thinking they're any good.
  5. The Big Freeze is all a cunning plot to sell lots of blue beanies so it looks like most of the crowd is Melbourne supporters. ☺️
  6. So do I, but I think using Jordon instead of Jordan should be easy. It's not like it hasn't been raised before.
  7. What I really wish is that player's names could be spelled correctly. 🥲 Also, I've never played AFL, but it doesn't mean I can't have a valid opinion. FWIW, one of the world's most respected and commercially-successful golf course architects, Tom Doak, is an 11 handicapper who has never played professional golf. By contrast, not too many people like the courses designed by Peter Thomson as being far too hard. Down at the National they ripped one of Thomson's courses up because no one wanted to play it. It goes to show that sometimes those outside the professional game can have just as good a perspective.
  8. I wouldn't take too much notice of DE% between, say, 60 and 80. But if one player is on 90% and another on 30%, it either says something about different roles (e.g. outside v extractor), or that one really is a poor disposer.
  9. Definitely not a SPAngled dRonGO.
  10. The Age game day blog said Sparrow was subbed off. Close enough to Spargo apparently.
  11. Undermining Collingwood is my favourite thing. 😄 Gee, it must be hard for you to accept that perfection is unachievable. Listen to Justin Longmuir on AFL360 tonight, when he says that players will always make mistakes, and that it's how they handle them and recover from them that is the true measure of a player and a team.
  12. I think their list is over-rated. They have three elite players: Curnow, Weitering and Cripps. McKay should be but has the yips, Docherty is OK, but the rest are average.
  13. Fremantle supporters could not possibly blame the umpires for the loss. 😄
  14. I don't think there's one player in the Bulldogs backline that I'd choose (type for type) over May, Lever, Petty, Salem, Rivers, Bowey and McVee.
  15. If the game is "sold out", and the ground holds 100,000, but they're "expecting 90,000", what happens to the other 10,000 seats?
  16. One day, in an alternate reality universe, Kozzie will get a free for a head-high tackle.
  17. The Wednesday Footy Classified is the very bottom of the barrel, mainly because Eddie never shuts up.
  18. So retaliation works, does it? Like JVR giving away a goal. I'd much rather retaliate on the scoreboard.
  19. The sky is a little bit cloudier, but it's not falling in.
  20. They were unlucky that the infringement was given when the ball was in Sydney's forward line. In Sydney's back line it might have been a different result.
  21. The Pies are playing Carlton, North Melbourne and WCE in their next three games. That'll be three wins.
  22. Port knew to put two or three players directly behind the pack May was kicking to, to either receive the ball knocked outover the top or the contested ball they won when it was fed out to them.
  23. We kicked 7 goals in the wettest quarter of the match.
  24. I'd be more worried about playing on Viney. ☺️
