  1. He's a great field kick but gets the yips with set shots, similar to Trac in some ways. His field kicking is his biggest strength, so he ticks a box for us in that regard. He's the type of player you want delivering the kick inside 50. His weakness is consistency, and it appears confidence based. He was legitimately good under his first coach, then struggled once Ratten came across. Never had a clean run at it under Lyon. Get him into a new environment, get him fit, and he may flourish. He had some really good seasons with his 2017-2019 run being the highlight. His 2019 was A grade stuff, averaged 26 disposals and kicked 13 goals. Had a few monster games where he looked set to be a star of the competition. His 33 disposal, 11 tackle, 2 goal, 12 score assists game was a monster. Not sure what happened the past few years, sounds like injury played a part in his form drop off. If we could get him cheap, he'd be a great pickup. He'd aid kicking skill to our midfield/half forward rotation and give us more depth to counter what was lost with Harmes and Jordon.
  2. He requested trade to the Tigers weeks ago before trade period began. Would've suited us
  3. Brockman has officially been traded for picks 44 and 63 already. Helps us potentially as he won't be part of a Hawks bid for pick 1.
  4. Bruce retired didn't he? Darcy will be a KPD. They'll build around Naughton and JUH with Lobby as depth for a year or two more.
  5. Makes Weideman and Schache look like Wayne Carey. Regardless, he's a demon now so let's see if he can crack into our 22 at some stage next year.
  6. That's overs for McAdam. Harmes netted us a future third rounder, and he's the superior player by every metric. 27 years old, 152 games, premiership player. Beats McAdam in every stat except goal average. We should just be using the Harmes compo pick to get McAdam. McAdam is a 28 year old who has managed just 50 games, with the most he's ever managed in a season due to injury and form being 15 games. He does play in a part of the ground we're lacking, but he's not worth a second round pick. That said, just get it done and move on.
  7. Edit: Posts since showed the offer. Jeez that's a low ball offer. Let's hope clubs all gang up on the Roos and ensure they remain at the bottom of the ladder for eternity.
  8. Anything less than a premiership in 3-5 years must be deemed an utter failure. They’ll now have more first rounders on their list than even Gold Coast! It’s mind boggling and the rest of the clubs should complain to the AFL and/or actively target them to even out the competition again.
  9. Should've sent Tomlinson to North for pick 2 when we had the chance 😆
  10. Aim higher. We poach Sheezel or Harley Reid in 1-2 years time. Let’s pick the carcass of that loser club so those talented kids careers aren’t wasted.
  11. Pick in the 30s is fair for Harmes. 38 would work. He’s 28 and has played over 150 games. He struggled this year due to personal reasons which saw him away from the club and football for a period of time. He’s not some no name who can’t play. He’d be in nearly every clubs best 22. I’d rather keep him as depth as he wouldn’t be on a big contract now, but if he wants to leave then pick 38 is fine.
  12. I agree they’re both good young talent and I’d be happy to have either at the club. They lack X factor/game breaking ability of the top end group. Sanders will likely have the best career of the lot IMO.
  13. Sanders and O’Sullivan. You’re right though, despite having a high pick we look likely to miss out on the elite crop unless we can trade up further. Mckercher is exactly what need in our midfield now.
  14. Would rather play a man down than see that [censored] Mathieson in red and blue.
  15. Yes. Comfortably. Despite winning the premiership, Collingwood were lucky to finish top of the ladder and lucky to have won the flag. They will rightly be remembered as a weak and lucky premier, just like the Bulldogs of 2016. That’s why 2023 hurts so much. We missed an opportunity to win a flag against a weak field due to injuries and inaccuracy, and the eventual premier was inferior to us and multiple other teams.
  16. Someone find a link to Mays speech please! Was hilarious.
  17. Nibbler one vote off May in 5th place. Underrated season.
  18. Trac is a ripper. May said what we were all thinking 😆
  19. Wouldn’t be in our best 22 and is a clear downgrade from Langdon and Hunter, even if they weren’t great this year. I’d rather try Howes or Woe or Laurie on a wing or outside mid ahead of him. He was good in his debut season, but a lot of that was just down to his youthful energy rather than any skill. Since then he’s battled injuries and never showed form to AFL level. His finals series was atrocious. He’d be depth only and worth a token 3rd- 4th round pick that wouldn’t be used at draft by any team.
  20. Good appointment. He’s been a pillar in Richmond’s success. Hopefully he can bring some of that quick and unpredictable ball movement to our midfield and help get more out of our smalls.
  21. A former pick 2 200cm KPF only 21 years old would command more at the trade table. McAdam is worth a third rounder. Thilthorp is worth a first. Sparrow and a 2nd is unders.
  22. He’s a diehard demon and has been in contact with the club for years. His father ex demon ruckman Jeff remains a diehard demon too. Jeff’s pretty active on social media and has proudly shown a lot of his son Kalanis underage footballing career. Kalani is a mad demon. He rocks the demon gear and loves heading down to Vic to see the dees. There’s zero chance he becomes a sun. He’ll be a demon, just a matter of how much we’ll have to give up in points for father son drafting.
  23. And so ends the weakest AFL season in my living memory. The umpiring this season wrongly and unjustly determined the outcomes of multiple games. I’ve never been more disappointed in our game and after nearly 40 years attending matches weekly I’m basically done. I pray we can reload and contend again next year or my love of the sport might have died today. What a sad day it is in this country where we see a pack of sexual predators and thugs celebrated.
  24. Strange call. He was All Australian this year for his age group under 16s playing key defender and ruck. He’s a giant too. Looks a serious prospect with a few years in the gym to fill out. Already taller than his old man at age 15! Are you getting him confused with another potential father son like Yze or Brown?
