Changes for Round 6 vs Sydney
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to titan_uranus's topic in Melbourne Demons
Haha, neither. I think he would get pantsed and play at Casey the next week, but also think he could learn a lot from going head to head from Goodes (though the Morton comment was a bit of sickening dejavu) -
Draw will easily be good enough as City are certain to drop 3 points in the following game

Changes for Round 6 vs Sydney

The only way I would accept Watts playing next week is if Goodes comes back for the Swans, make Watts run with him and tell him if Goodes gets 3 meters on him he will be at Casey the next week -

Garland is a versatile player who can play on both tall and small opposition forwards -

Staggers me that people are calling for Georgiou's scalp after one bad game. Bean has been very good this year and used the ball well, one bad game and we drop him. Harsh on a player who has shown more in his first five games of footy than pretty much anyone else on our list -
Watts runs hard and has very good speed, have seen it at training, sadly, rarely against opponents. He has a big heart, have seen how good he is with kids, sadly, rarely against opponents. He is great with his time, gives a heap of it to supporters when he has the chance, sadly, does the same against opponents.

How can we tackle so well last week yet so badly this
-
1 point up at qtr time, 3.2 to 2.7 Realistically we should be 3 or 4 goals down, must make them pay for being so wasteful Way Terlich playing, needs a very big next 3/4's or will be at Casey next week, shocking qrtr

Um, yeah. Has played as a defender the last couple of games, forward today

UNbelievable, Chips goal clearly touched, joke of a system. Guess it makes up for their soft goal

Please tell me that you didn't take my post seriously....

Very light duties for Christian. -
Have you seen Jetta this year? I only have at training and he looks like he is in the best shape that he has ever been in.

Would be expecting him to play this weekend, most likely at Casey to give him some match fitness -

Jordie looks in good shape, primed to take on Ablett. Another I meant to mention and looks like he is in the best shape of his career is Neville Jetta, not surprising considering he has just done his first full preseason. He'll play this year if he stays fit -

No sign of Hulk but Ned Kelly was out there for the bulk of training and looked like he is ready to don the armour -

Yep, saw that, Saty had a quick word with him, had a mild corkie, will be fine for the weekend -
Kid has a great attitude, hope he has a long career with us

Went down to training this morning, early start and bloody cold. No sign of Jake Spencer, don't know why. Dawes, Grimes and Watts had pretty easy sessions, Dawes joining those on light duties who included Strauss, Blease among others, they did slow laps though Dawes was well ahead of them. Terlich was in this group, very light duties. Tapscott also did laps but at much faster pace than this group, hopefully he can get himself on the park consistently and save his career, I think he has the ability, but he has to show it. Most of the session after the warm up involved quick use of the ball, getting it into the forward line quickly. Overall the skills were pretty good, with some of of the usual suspects spraying it. Chip spent quite a bit of time seemingly working on the most effective set shot routine. Early on, most shots were going right, but with him jogging in a bit more fluidly he started to nail them consistently. Overall, it seemed to me that not only did the players seem to be enjoying themselves more than in the past, they seemed to be more like a team, I know that is subjective and all "touchy feely" but it was an impression I got and a positive one. One last thing, I was in awe of the quality of barrels that Lynden Dunn was sending about three miles out of the goal square at the end of training. Any questions feel free to ask, will try answer as best I can.

Jetta has been on the list playing under some distinguished coaches hey? He was actually playing well last year up until he got himself suspended. Would not be on the rookie list now if not for that act trashing what was looking like a good season IMO

One of the dumbest lines I have seen posted here. Congrats.
