Might I suggest the BEST case scenario is finishing "middle of the road" . Tbh I don't think that's at all probable or realistic. We can't win presently. Don't even look remotely close. By all accounts the next few games offer a better chance than the rest of the season. All of this just is. No joy in it. So back to your thoughts.... do we flip or hold ? Might depend entirely on any value. I would also genuinely ask if it was their wish to stay or go. We WILL be undertaking an entire rebuild. They might offer something in staying but success won't be their reward. We've seriously over hyped this list. Look around .... there are better. We're all but equal last staring down 1919 I'd be very surprised if both are here next year. Neither might be .

Tim, I don't think we've got the wherewithal to do much by the last qtr. We're already cooked by then. We've manage 5 goals (total) in 5 games in the final qtr beggars belief. 5 goals

You actually touch upon the , for mine, most important tenet. Is that we don't seem to be really attempting to play an AFL level style of game. We won 21 with a British Bulldog 1 2,3 gung ho scrum like tenacity. Even then it would never work for 4 qtrs. We had a run of games where it prevailed. We don't really for all the rhetoric, pressers, mumbo jumbo holds hands sing-alongs have evolved too far from this. We still suffing around with DOS and others are using AI We've got 0 footy intelligence. It's scary tbh

Sadly this is pretty much how I'm approaching this game. Can we a) actually give a decent account of ourselves and play something kinda resembling footy. b) just stink it up !! Heretic to say, but I don't really care whether we can or might win. It's gone beyond that now. Can we not embarass ourselves out there.

Well this weekend we celebrate the miracle that is the resurrection. An entity given up for dead somehow gets up and walks among us once more. That's all wonderful for that lot but essentially we're nought but a bunch of Devil worshippers so we've got sfa chance of that happening. I reckon even if JC was up at FF, between Judas , the Romans and our midfield he'd need another nod to upstairs or he really would starve to death. I regret to think even an "honourable" loss is several bridges too far this weekend. I'd just like to see the powers that be concede that nothing is going how they think it ought , and that's on them as much if not more than any and in that frame of mind mix it up. Just get back to some footy basics. Romans by a march.....

Not apples and apples. Neither AFLW nor AFL are National teamd .. they are National Competitions. Whilst AFLW has grown and indeed will still some.. it's thoroughly shaded by the main event. Always will be. Just is.

A very real reality (lol) is AFLW for all its good points etc just hasn't got the following, hence clout of mainstream footy. It's obviously fantastic for those playing and the opportunities it provides to aspiring participants. It will always be overshadowed by AFL.. Great that the lasses dis so well. Maybe Libby ought to focus on that and not the "we were hard done by" .. smacks of sour grapes tbh. Bigger fish to fry imo

I don't know that that can be a given... I.e moving a fwd back. Not everyone is equiped skilwise or mentally to play all over the field. The way you approach fwd and back is VERY different. As a back it's your job to deny scoring opportunities. The buck stops with you. You are under the pump in a very different way to how you're potentially responsible for scoring as a fwd. Without being cavalier.. deep down fwds know they aren't expected to goal with every kick. It's almost a get out of jail free situation. Yes , many try. But if you want proof... look at their faces if they miss ( just saying ) If you either stuff up.or simply outplayed as a defender... then just like a Goalie... that's on you. Some players are much much better either one end of the ground than the other. Some can swing... ( could use more of these ... as resigning matchups during a game in.progress IS an effective way to stem tides etc ) Unless JVR actually has any experience as an effective backman be very careful before putting him there.

I reckon have then line up for 1st qtr.. leave exactly same for second... I.e .. don't swap ends 🤣 Spin repeat. Ought confuse the [censored] out of everyone. Possibly. I'd counter is that the end of the world if some did ? Some will look to leave anyway . Melbourne is in a MESS. If we have to prune the Roses harshly then so be it. Football is far more fluid re people now. I really couldn't give a fig who wears our jumper, who coaches, who leads, who follows or cuts up the bloody oranges. I just want a highly competitive team . If players want greener pastures, better 'relationships' or Kumbayah Karaoke ...well good for them.

If you haven't already done so good Demon folk I implore you to take the opportunity to read Demonland's report on the weekend's game . Read it , read it twice and if you still think our mediocrity is not to be blamed on Coaching and Selection then so be it. Quite damning in my view Great report Demonland 👏
