Open training miscommunication - another MFC unforced error

Ive always been somewhat bemused that Eddie can get a deal ...and other astute folk cant. I dont see PJ as a schmuck. So I am curious as to what goal post shifted in this respect. But be that as it is I fail to see why a logo'd gazebo ( AHG ) etc couldnt have turned up for the day. Its VERY normal practice for clubs etc to do it in this manner. Its not a permanent hoarding. The cost of recovery for the expense to collect memberships and sell merchandise would have been recovered in about 10 mins flat !! Talk of double time etc is plainly rubbish. Would you not have asked some volunteers to man it ? Im not being presumptive here but that would be logical. Only need a liaison from the club to oversee them. Again not earth shatteringly expensive and if the club is taking the view it will wait for everyone to come to them its no wonder we are down the ranks in terms of numbers. In todays marketplace thats suicide. You seize every opportunity to push your cart and sell from it. -

No I didn't. Was merchandising out of a gazebo. Cos its really hard to do. As I have noted before. Had I known it was going to be a later start I might have gone for last hour as I knew some others were going. Ive respectfully contacted club already, but thanks for the invite. On another note...out of interest . Were all the sponsors signage there ? -

This exactly how amateurs view things. Its a business... run it like a business. I know other clubs mange to get their gazebos and marketing stuff out. What club in its right mind would forego a chance to sell memberships, ESPECIALLY one running a campaign to get to 35k before round 1 !!! You want to be a success....well you dress like youre a success... You take on the mindset of "being successful" This isnt a suburban footy club.. Its a multi-million dollar AFL one. if you cant get the simple things right .......... -

oh....was just a 'mix up" thats laughable. and I probably suggest a bit of a fib. They'd be promoting it for how long? ..and somehow it just all got mixed up?? I doubt it....STUFFED up yes !!! -
you had me at that .....

Kinda makes you think that some might have woken up to it all ( a bit late however ) ...horse bolted etc

Business 101 >>>> epic fail !! -
Makes a mockery surely. If they sought to avoid because some knew them not kosher , then they cant have been duped ( not that I ever bought that one personally). If Saad went because he took a drink....and Lees because he "tried' to get hold of something he though ok ( but apparently not ) then how on earth can players, signing waivers and then either subjecting themselves to ROUTINE jabs or as seems some avoiding them , how can they possibly get off?? ....or receive the 'wet tram ticket " !!
-
So , what is this actually saying, some sought to avoid jabs because "THEY KNEW THEM DODGY " ???

it all goes to attention to detail. If they can fcuk this up m...what else ?Many will dismiss this out of hand. So be it. I don't. Many won't. ..it was clumsy to the nth. -

Moon..thete was no setup to sign on anyone who wanted today or sell them something. Quite frankly the local kindergarten would have been better prepared. This is supposed to be a professional outfit. Id be embarrassed. -

Its not that hard is it Deevoted. Hardly rocket science. For a multimillion business outfit quite frankly its laughable. ..it it wasn't lamentable. Maybe all the ducks DON'T line up as we were lead to think now ? To those that suggest otherwise its not that its a simple open training gone awry, it's that it speaks to the interested/potential Dees and says.. we're a bunch of cowboys. -

Ffs..it was a training session with snags. How bloody hard can it be ? Not like a well organised pr exercise. That might have required more. Was a complete and utter fiasco. Those who cant see it...well...can't see it. -
so little undestanding...and/or ability to read is there
-
Theres a bit about today that might have been done differently. ..had only the club THOUGHT it all through !! But they didnt. Welcome back 2012

I like that Dawes is holding his marks. Am hoping/expecting a big year from this bloke. He and Harry I think will really impact the team ( in a good way )

unbelievably stupid. The filth would have I know the kangas show up anywhere they can with a promotions tent etc just to mention 2 but hey...we have a shop hidden away like a 'vault' fmd... rant over good to hear some up and comers moving along nicely. should make for a little pressure for spots come round 1 and thats what you want
