this is it hey..The "claytons' suspension....but alas one that I have no doubt the AFL will want taken into consideration.

thats fair So is 2 years

And in Good News today there will be no Melbourne players amongst the International Rules squad taking on Ireland. Any fears of injuries preventing any of Demons taking to the preseason training have been laid to rest.. in other news...

Theres a bit to this I fell. i.e relative value. We've been dudded royally in the past with players getting overs come contract renewal time when their form didnt particularly warrant it. I think the other thing is the club knew he was more than likely on the way out, had his own trigger so to speak. Howe was somewhat useful for the year and was assigned a role.. not the one he preferred...reminds me of someone else....hmmm Also that someone else had the right to nominate. Jeremy can by all means opt out of Melbourne. He can even 'nominate' his desires. Id like to think the club will still work towards a solution thats as beneficial as can be made for the club, not because it is for the departing.

you do know what the word suitor means I take it.. there was one -
Wont be too long now ( well sorta ) before we'll all know Chris. I'll repeat my thinking that if warranted some of the 'affected' might start coming up with doozies of excuses as to why they arent at the club. Be refreshing is someone just said..."look, it's prudent to the long term' edit : Chris...I believe it plays out that as the appeal still goes to teh original infractions and a suspension was undertaken by players with that regard that its still in play. Im not sure at all about now, in terms of any other time they can claim. Im sure that now better informed an affected player would ask the League what works and what doesnt. Cant blame them for that. Horse bolted though.

It referred the point of choosing clubs. We were his only suitor . He by all accounts wanted out. His choice was...US...or stay. I think its relevant. No one else was making a bee line to windy hill for him, let alone throwing a 4 year contract under his nose -
You actually inform ASADA/AFL that you are undertaking suspension. You then must follow the guidelines. However some managed to eek 'special dispensations" for events from the AFL. Not just a case of going off the clock unofficially

Theresa a future for Jackson in Film !! -
I think some have actually served a period of voluntary suspension. This still counts Im lead to believe Chris. Those that just are on holiday, not actually at work per se etc counts as nothing. I suppose we'll know when preseasons start again. Be interesting to see what 'stories' are used

Iver read nowhere where any ban will go back to last game. Thats an Essendon ploy. The Ban starts from when handed down with deductions applied from then. I dont think they can play the no significant fault as ASADA/WADA would right highlight not EVERYONE did it. Why not ? Because it was self -responsibility to act and some did. From my watching/readings etc the only thing that can be applied ( in this instance ) is time served.. There are no back dates here and thats been stated somewhere by WADA...only deductions. So for mine should say Milkshake cop a 2 year he may be afforded around 17 weeks or there abouts deduction starting from around Nov 20 ( approx ) I have no doubt the AFL are brainstorming how to dilute that but there wont be many ways. Howman just met with the Dill and Dillon to ratify that the AFL is indeed on board with WADA/ASADA...i.e the Code
-
Strangely enough I know just where to get one of those !!
-
If that were the case this would have been rolled out much earlier by Essendon. It doesnt work that way. Suspensions apply to active infractions. There are none. The appeal process starts the clock again however any time previously served as an official voluntary ( or otherwise ) suspension can be applied again the length of ban.

My only concern is not IF he can play, as I'll defer to the club on that , it is WHEN he can play and the wisdom of such He could well be ok as a player. I just have this uneasy feeling we're being played by Essendon. -

Id be gobsmacked if it's come as any surprise to anyone in our FD that Jeremy is leaving, and has had his eyes on such since last year.
-
he's running with the ol' "dont want to move interstate"
-
Its not what he's wanting to do for himself...it's Howe he's gone about it.
-
The Toump is the kind of player that gets dealt with much later in the trade period.. When clubs see what loose change they have and whats in the bargain bin. Harsh...but reality I wish him well. Cant say that for some others

find it hard to rectify the word ASTUTE with WADA-Ban might just be me -
Im not sure a lot of people are watching the same games as others. Kent's problems are all but pure 99% injury related at present some might like to watch : http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2015-10-15/2015-review-dean-kent His first couple of seasons werent the bomb for sure. He has worked dilligently and despite not having completed a full preseason yet started to make inroads and definitely stamp himself on games. There are actually a lot on our list that do...stamp themselves...take it on and play with bravado and flair. Certainly some interesting insights from a person with some nouse and a different view. His view to Carlisle I suspect presumes we are after another KEY forward. I think our setup is needing a support person as opposed a competior for that spot. In reality hes just another commentator with an opinion. Not sure he's really looked in depth at us...so to speak
