Yes, this has all got very arze about. His manager slyly runs that out about destinations etc and hasnt been pulled up on it.., well publicly. Im sure the club has a differing outlook.
where are they situated ( if you know ) with using some late picks to elevate any rookies ?
They might only have purpose to use a couple of picks on any real kids in teh draft. They may well feel that if not participating in the first round then theyll look at some 'projects' or simply have a gamble on some. Who knows.. Not a major care of mine..its Geelong
I agree in so far as I think JT has exhausted the hopes of the club ( ours ) . Im just thinking he may appeal to another club who thinks he's been cruelled.
Id agree there may well be some residual perceived idea as to talents and abilities based up his early/young form. Some recruiters /development folk may think they can extract what others havent. If nothing else this is what you hope.
An interesting appraisal there GOTO.. I see Geelong battling for a similar part of the ladder as us next year...the middle 6
Geelong had for many years a synergy going for them with many players knowing how to play with each other. Now they have to re-gel as Geelong. I think they're trading very well. How they PLAY is another thing. We'll only know when they do.
Its not the same though... and nor is the way we build teams in respective sports
I know what youre alluding to.... but I still would consider it folly not to look to trading future picks.. not all of them and not necessarily 1st rounders either.
