  1. Keep up with the rumours Nasher .. oh sorry.... you're on Tassie time
  2. He's a pup. Tommy supposed to be top dog. Huge difference no ?
  3. I must confess it's ok as a theme. Somehow have visions of the Leningrad Cowboys performing this ( and that would be pretty cool )
  4. Well since you have, Did WCE and Freo dilute it in WA ?
  5. Spent the weekend up there...Hardly saw any mention of footy.. I will say however that on ONE screen inside Sharkies on Sunday they had the game. One out of about a dozen...lol. I just never here footy mentioned much in Sydney...Then again...Im hardly there.
  6. So much conjecture. Fact . Melb offered him a 1 year just to see how he might rebound (or if .. ) !! He has. To the point he's back playing. He'll only improve . Again...no preseason, so he's not cherry ripe I'd be betting hell be offered 2 years on a fairly average remuneration but with good performance triggers and bonuses. It's a win win.
  7. Cameron Mooney looks at which teams outside the top eight can play finals in 2017 extract from above "MELBOURNE: Melbourne, to me, out of all of the sides out of the eight look best placed to move in next year. They have gone to the draft and got in some high level talent, such as Jesse Hogan, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Angus Brayshaw. These guys will only get better again. Add that to some great father-son selections in Todd Viney, who will be their next captain and is already a spiritual leader, and young Billy Stretch. Add that to more experienced players like Tom McDonald, Max Gawn and Nathan Jones, and a few very handy recruits in Bernie Vince and Tom Bugg, and the list has so much upside. What I like about the Dees is that they seem to be enjoying playing with each other. Young blokes like Viney just bleed for the jumper and his mates are jumping in behind him. They want to be there and they desperately want success together. That is the minimum starting point and the signs are good. The gap between their good and bad games is getting closer and there is a good culture there now. Paul Roos was criticised initially for his defensive and ugly tactics, but he has taught tis list to defend, win contested ball, and now as they are learning to attack. Next year I’d expect them to take another step under Simon Goodwin."
  8. I dont mind expansion per se but would have preferred Tassie to no where's land. I dont like the way all the eggs went to two clubs at the expense of others ( especially us ) . However If they can play footy they can have a crack at the cup. Of those out side of Hawks,Swans and Cats I think only the Pups have a chance. Crows havent the game to win the GF this year and the Giants would be cut down to size in the pressure cooker of finals. Next year they all have to contend with us !!
  9. Ah yes but he was obviously taking the plss and talking shlt...Yellow and Brown all the way !!
  10. Demons links to women's footy go back to the 60's
  11. no hope in hell they will get anywhere Theyre wasting time and money
  12. I cant see many more signing up now.. If possibly more games( than will be ) at the G were left you might.. Its a goodly number for 2016 I reckon we'll nudge 45000 Next season ...caveat...a good start , with some healthy wins and Hogan signed up. Not sure how it will leverage the new comp but possibly some interest in becoming members( more lady members ) because of the 'girls"
  13. where are we heading >>>>>>>>>>>> Good win(s)
  14. I consider most Brownlow winners to be elite.
  15. The thing about Trenners ( for mine ) is he has some qualities that exist in some but rarely as a combination.. He has poise, calm, and reasoned thinking before disposal. This otherwise known as "doesnt [censored] up too often " Haste can be waste
  16. Mr Stynes says hello ( if he could )
  17. there are some things he does well there are some things he does not-so-well !!
