Imho the MFC will and should care less about pandering to the whim of a few hundred occasional spectators. Thats not how you go about a business case for the establishment of a world class facility thats 99% about use by and of a club, its admin, players and coaches. Its about what provides the best outcome for the club in the manner IT will use it.

So to those that would consider the location of the new facilities , if Yarra Park ...next to the G ...a bit far...how do you go game day ? ?

Goschs paddock...on the wrong side of the road ..right next to lovely healthy Punt Road...lost among codes.. no mans land Or Smack bang next to the G....THE MCG......a small club hit to the new facilities from our ancestral home...the MCC. Why is this even a discussion... Make it so...

Im a bit lost here...what real loss to parkland ? In a fashion youll have some rubbishy grassed area not reall usuable for much other than parkibg cars....being replaced by an area of grass usuable by club and community alike. The grass will still be green...no ?

A number of elements come to play among all this... looking on as a spectator : Almost funny anyone would see 6 Stories as a hindrance . Just look around....and up ?? The powers that be at the MFC seem very tight lipped these days. I'd be surprised if they relaxed the reigns on this getting out save they thought it appropriately progressed. Further to my noting a trend to explore the construction above tracks I seem to recall somewhere ( happy to be corrected ) that for whatever reason planning permission above tracks is not a local jurisdiction.i.e Spring St can approve with stroke of a pen. For the Greenies i propose that having built our facilities that Punt Rd be razed to the ground and rehabilitated to urban Forrest...seems only fair. Again i think the proposal has merit...legs ? ?? Jolimont might need recasting as Demonland ???

I have absolutely no idea as to the good , bad or otherwise as to this. I had none either regarding Jackson. Id be inclined to think very few do...but some will. Personally im glad we're still looking outside the club at this stage. There's no denying Pert's pedigree and it was probably better than anyone currently with our club. Thats not to say we haven't anyone with good ability...but GP probably has more and the experience in those positions to go with it. We'll have no idea for some whiles. Possibly not THE catalyst.. definitely a reason. He is far less 'reactionary' than many inside mids... especially ours !! Some players are mercurial in that when they possess the ball they suddenly seem to have space where there's none. Gus has a slightly different take on that....he seems to harness 'time' . These extra moments that manifest allow him to better think the next move. He's generally very clever with possessions, seldom wasteful... that's gold, that's class. Where some players can often be where they ought not, Brayshaw manages to hunt the ball and be where he can effect something. It's a rare commodity...physicality with nous.
