On a side note...no one probably on the current list deserves to be around to holdup our next flag as Chunk. But it's not about him. It's about the best team afield. Only THAT team might win it. Jones may not be wearing his beloved Guernsey that day.

To be fair more than a few have noted his mixed affect on games. For all his undeniable effort he can be as much a liability as he is able soldier. Mr Tall Building is not alone in his concerns.

Before our little 'run home there might be a little hill or two to climb. We can only ever play the 'other' team...where ever, but we're still a long way from certainty. In some respects it was 'only' the Doggies but I saw something encouraging I wasn't expecting to see. It wasn't the , stuffing around of the first half, nor the Footy Lesson of the 3rd QTR...not even the boxing up and ribbon tying of the last. It was that we broke the shackles of some silly idea that our footy was only ONE particular method. With this tucked under our arm we may yet make a first of the weeks to come. Can not afford to blink or stumble. Are we really relevant to September ? Go Dees

In the main ( very much so ) I fully concur. There's a bit of temptation though to do as outlined and have him in the square ( possibly resting as opposed off the field ) It's not without merit imho.

My two most doubtful games are Crows and Eagles. We might pluck the Swans at home. They like bigger grounds even less than us ?

The rest are 6 point games for me..i.e...any game we drop makes it doubly imperative to win the next. Finals is as much about momentum as it is available list. No-one who's fallen into finals has accomplished much after. There's 7 games left...best we win 5 of them.. I'm not normally optimistic at this point...and I'm not,but if we're a chance then we need Dogs..win Cats.. win Crows . ??? Suns ... Win Swans ??? Eagles ...?? Giants...must win. On the basis of the above...that's 4 plus..one of 3 maybe's That still,most likely only had us retaining our current position but with the likelihood of facing someone we've already beaten...at the G ..in the first week. It won't hurt if a few others drop the ball....but our fortune is in our hands.

I'm not sure what to take away from that game last night. Is our game against the Cats more achievable ?? or the game against the Crows more daunting ?? Talk about swings and roundabouts .

Don't get me wrong...it's absurd. Geelong supporters would ,of course end up with better than half allocated..as that's how it rolls down there. But the AFL condone this effectively.. Cats have clout

It's my considered thinking if we were to only have won 12...and somehow had enough % ...then...I personally doubt we'd be in the eight. If were... we'd be turfed quickly. I think it's a min of 13.. including two decent scalps otherwise they'll only best us again. 14 wins.. we have a shot. Just my thoughts
