  1. Three good answers. 1) yes....but we seem really rather keen...than just viably interested. Might just my take granted. 2 ) without doubt...they have their own way of dealing. Maybe they're far cleverer than we credit. It is after all about outcomes. 3) might well be the case. But don't seem the slightest interested. And 4) though it makes sense to stay quiet ....the silence from the Hogan camp sets new standards !! lol I somehow feel ..now... A revision to pick 5 ( if/when eventually theirs ) and a second rounder WILL be the deal. That might fly for all parties save 99% of Dland lol I thought originally a player would be involved. Maybe not now.
  2. There's something not quite right... surely. Love to know what . I ask myself....why ARE we now quite keen to see off Jesse ? Why aren't Freo so enraptured at having the opportunity ? Why isn't WCE sniffing at the door ? I'm not sure as to the nature of this animal ....not any more. I haven't been one to rate Hogan nearly as high as many, but that aside this offer is below low ball. Ambit for sure...but still. There's dealing...and there's poking the bear. Very odd
  3. Ah... someone's suggesting an interesting idea. You'd have to think this is a possibility. Unlikely...we would all have thought once. Something not quite right here. But is it the offer ?
  4. Possibly...but what was anyone really expecting ? An injury plagued and inconsistent non best 22 player on the fringe. Good luck Kent
  5. Fun and games...fun and games. Freo going hard .... at making friends
  6. Steve... you're taking things at face value. A noted author wrote once: "Contradictions don't exist. Whenever you think you're facing a contradiction, check your premises. You will find one of them to be wrong" This is no different. Logic suggests not everything, if anything , is as it's suggested.
  7. One might hope there's no shlt in any cheese you made
  8. Only 76 pages to go...come om Deelanders !!
  9. Two predictions: 1: Demented souls outpouring bile as Dees announce a trade that meets with practically no Dee supporters expectations ( unless you're like me and guage by outcomes, overall, not swapping marbles or footy cards ) 2: nobody will give a flying @#$& when we hold up the cup in a year or two.
  10. Must be for you as for all your chest beating and broughahas you seem oblivious to the point. You don't know what cards the club holds...or what it has half a hand on via other tentative deals but it's all about those magic numbers You presume what certain picks will garner in other trades then call prematurely on something not even done yet. Trade period is like playing darts with a revolving board. It's a fluid environment where very little is fixed.
  11. This was ,most likely, all it ever was. All this silliness about pick this or that is really irrelevant. If you get what you want/need then youve won. What path taken doesn't matter. Why is this simple notion so hard for many.
  12. Funny how so many are fixated on relieving their anxiety as opposed the quality of outcome. It's not about getting it done in the next 5 mins. It's about getting it done within the available time. Make it so Dees
  13. The whole post made far too much sense. Many won't get it. Many don't WANT to get it. It plays with the sensibilities of some to tamper with idea that what is supposed , might not be after all. This is exactly the metric that the club uses. The MFC is seeking to address issues about balance and game style/plan. It looks holistically at as situation and has an idea of redress. That's where it differs from most here who cling fanatically to the emotional investment they have of players. The club will do what it needs to. It's about outcomes. Freo is about outcomes too. Problem is they're that stuffed they're trying to accomplish too much in one period and have unrealistically put values on things.( Both ways ) But it is what it is. You play the cards you have. There IS trade next year but we need to achieve certain things THIS trade to further our progress next season. These are the real parameters of trade not the nonsense spouted by some. Go Dees...get it done.
  14. Freo didn't come to our door. They went to Jesse's. Big difference. Thing is WE own that door. But curiosity is we've thrown it open and they've gone into hiding. A lot about this makes no sense....if you accept the often trotted out scenario. So obviously very little is what it looks like.
  15. I'm of the inclination that someone's hand has been forced. I've no problem with that if it suits the club. Like your good self OD I observe a overwhelming groupthink from many as to the worth and benefits of retaining Jesse. And then there's this somewhat opposite script playing out before us. Now I would suppose the club is best situated to know what's what and how to proceed. So why is the MFC pursuing a course so different to what many here would prescribe ? Why from some quarters come suggestions Freo isn't all gooey and rah rah as it was ? Freo chasing Jesse since he got here....now they can have him...they get butterflies and wobbly knees ? Bits to this puzzle we don't know. And we wait. I think he'll go home. I think the club will be satisfied. I think many will disatisfied but I think that's only because their metric isn't the club's.
  16. My bad...mea culpa Of course they will...of course
  17. There's the public fodder statement by the club. That's fine but it won't be real pass line. Am sure the club will accept a deal irrelevant of poster's views...if it meets what the club actually wants as an outcome.
  18. Hogan might not be much more .. It's about now.
  19. Didn't mean to imply you did. Just piggybacking off that 'news' Well...the 5 is a start. I noted elsewhere there most likely be something with it ( of course ) I still lean to a player. Intriguing.
