  1. Why ? His job is to trade. That requires only telling anyone what's required. Not us. We'll know when we do. My life isn't going to be any different whether I know anything today..or in a week. Will yours ? Let him do his job ..his way.
  2. Steve...some people DO know something. Dare I say some know more than they dare comment !! Is there a lot of BS...for sure A good panner can spot the gold and gems
  3. Maybe.. maybe not...but I like your thinking
  4. Yes am aware. Hence the reference to his management. I just think Dees are trying to wrest back as much of this into their control as possible. As was mentioned somewhere by someone in media ( apologies as just couldn't give a fig to read the byline ) ...that players have TOO much power. They're entitled to say...but it's about a team.

I think we're looking at things with prudence. If we require another ready to go ruck...then who ? If we're going back to the future with two rucks ...who ? Need another best 22-25 mid....we can cover. Therefore Tyson is less important than Preuss. Imho.
  6. I have a suspicion, nothing more, that there indeed would be a plan B. By all accounts we've been into May for some whiles. This FD raiding party have proven themselves quite wiley over the years. You'd think they have a contingency plan should the Hogan fiasco go south. Just my view
  7. LH , I suspect this is Melbourne forcing the hand of others...i.e create an unattractive course if remaining with Melbourne. You stay ...it's on our terms. If going...stop fn around...and manager .. go f yourself. A crude summary but gut says this is the way we're going. I think we will never be held to ransom again. Go Dees
  8. This is a thread because ??? ?
  9. A problem for the parties concerned is by my calculations Hogan is probably worth 1 and a bit first rounders. This will get sorted, but a lot here won't be happy.
  10. But how much more ??
  11. See this is where it depends where you're coming from, or indeed, wishing to go This might be a very clever move by the club. I don't suppose many might see where I'm coming from in saying that. What a circus this year has brought
  12. t'is a bit of a shame for US that Bell has come aboard when he has. Oh that he couldn't have waited just a tad longer. Bell's a bugger but no fool. Just quietly he's actually straightening up Freo by a fair length. It'll take them 18m -2y to gel and lift by much. Thy're coming from a fair way back at present. The line in the sand is a pick that enables us to get May.....that part I dont think is really a sticking point for Freo....it's the other bit that is going to need creativity

  15. It's only my opinion but I think ive a better chance of winning lotto than we have of prising 5 and 14 off freo this year. Id take that 5 and 2019 1st rounder...in a heartbeat. They arent climbing a ladder quickly anytime soon If I was at all prescient my guess is: Melbourne give up Hogan and 3rd round pick to Freo Freo handover decent 1st round pick and a "player" Why I think this works is both sides can claim to be a winner. We get our man May and another player. They get their Hogan and change. The 'player' becomes the talking point then as to who did better and not Hogan. We're fine as we need players not picks imho
  16. I doubt we wont hear about a deal...until its done.
  17. No one really declaring anything are they. ....and yet they are. Fun and games...all part of the show
  18. I suspect this will not play out the way many imagine OD. I think the FD know exactly what all the constraints are. The only real variables now are where 'others' picks will fall and therefore domino. Trade week often throws up surprises. Reminds me a bit of 'murder on the orient"'. Everyone had their story but the truth was a whole other matter.
  19. Next year's picks
  20. This is all months old..capiche Just the details getting haggled as neither club actually have those bits. They will evolve I.e this event. Hogan going, is not a recent manifestation.
  21. Ok...just in case folk haven't been watching the dance moves, Bell moved to change goalposts. He has to a minor degree. From Freos perspective it made sense. JM located our posts and ran a flag or two up them to signal the start of the PUBLIC exchange. Reality is a number of things here. Hogan's real market value will be established somewhere in the middle as that's where the game is and that's how it's done. Those who think it's 2 prime picks or bust...will find it's bust. Both clubs need to seem winning. Freo will only give us one prime pick. Melbourne WILL take that but there'll need to be some dessert with the main course. Both clubs can sell the proceeds as being in their respective interests. Many are valuing Hogan way over reality. There's a lot going on here out of general view. Very little of this save the actual picks and icing is particularly overnight. Both clubs will have been circling this for some time. Disregard the spin... it's spin.
  22. There is NEWS ....everyday
  23. I could be cruel here... But some decent posters here from that coast. They'd be the exceptions of course
  24. Hour for alook see 3 hours for photography
  25. My view..like @SFebes Jesse already made decision. But..just in case it all goes bust . everyone saves face if nothing made public...yet. Smoke mirrors...dance the dance
