Bouquets and Brickbats witht the prior much more the important:) great win and was nearly on course for my desired 60 pointer !!! ) and this is where they fell down they let them bak in and JUST managed at times to keep the door shut. Wont be picky too much ..its a win and we needed it )) Good to put under their belt and learn
-
Btw curious .. Who changed thread title ? Not my vernacular just curious
-
Jurrah to kick 4
-
Yep..the West is meat and gravy pretty much. Its just Mums and Dads..families..blue collar struggle etc. As decent as any area I suppose but definitely not the North Shore would imagine Sheeds will make a call at some stage
-
much rather Bail than PJ... PJ is a half trick pony ( very disappointed there ) Heres hoping for that late change
-
their clash strip has a wider sash !!! that really helps !! lol since when has anyone complained of a clash between Melb and Essendon... We turn up in our normal jumper...they too... no pobs Only been playing them for the last 138 years... geez mustve been lucky not to get confused all those years
-
Will be interesting ..... Williams has ties with Essendon via the Sheeds era and of course to Sheeds at GWS He can coach, in his own fashion and does have the credentials of a Premiership to boot. This was a train wreck acoming for a long time.Fault ?? well Port's not a happy family really, there are divides similar to the Hatfields and McCoys..always a power struggle (snpi) there. Cant see Chocco out of work for long
-
que?? au contrair..this needs to be stated..and restated evey time. Doesnt interest you...dont comment..not hard is it. There is no clash between us..and its our game.
-
that 2nd last game becomes a bit interesting in light of today
-
probably... allot of ego at Port supposedly...clashes of heads... a Footy board with suspect ability etc. ...commonaly called a RABBLE !!! (aka.. The port Adelaide Basketcasers !! )
-
theres a lot of rumour floating around that he'll be linked to Windy Hill should Knights position become void. Not necessarily as head coach though. Its only starting to unfold...for him ( MW) and others who dont evern know it yet !!!! lol
-
back of jumspers obviously: Melb>>>>>>>>Lions>>>>>>>>Carlton>>>>>>>StKilda>>>>>>Melb>>>>>>>Ess>>>>>>>>>Freo>>>>>>>>proposed jump ( red) Freos is a legitimate clash from the rear. My thoughts on all of this is that it ought to be a case of respect your elders. i.e All new clubs must defer to previously existing clubs in terms of colours and seniority in wearing them. As we were here FIRST..everyone else can apease US !!!
-
What the AFL considers a clash is a very fluid dynamic that they make up on the day !! I had a graphic which showed us next to supposed clashes...and we didnt..will try and find
-
Its our HOME game... we wear OUR HOME jumper !! as simple as that. essendon need only wear their normal jumper and all is fine.. Their clash jumper with more red would be worse. Weve managed to play these guys for a long long while without getting confused !!! chances are of course the clowns at AFL house will kit out the umps in RED !!!
-
not a silly statement at all. But those West folk cling to lifeboats dont they, or rather melting icebergs !!! They love there nepotistic ways they do...lol But id agree thatsurely Woosha must beon shakey ground, the rebuilding isnt happening, the words are falling on deaf ears and they ( WCE ) dont like being down the cellar very much. That in itself isnt a bad thing...unless youre the coach !!lol
-
there are NO priority picks... has been suspended for the duration of GC and GWS preferential drafts and will never surface again.

I like this , definitely ( as a white strip ) Looks liek a properly constructed kit. Looks like a footy jumper ( to me very important...some are just...ewwww yuck.... sloppy efforts ) It keeps identifying aspects.. red yoke..that;s Melb ...the motif/emblem...thats Melb old+new. Red socks=Red legs=Melbourne its not tooooo busy ...looks quite smart really ( for a white guise !! ) and for the life of me I cant see how that's clash with anything if we werent wearing our normal red and blue !! nice work 24

I think Bails is safe for 2011. But there would want to be the predicted improved results on the board. WCE have been fishing big time, Roos slipped the net so they will be having a further look around. Whos to say Laidley wil continue at PA in 2011 ?? Craig may have salvaged his security ( for now ) Voss is s fav son, he will get a bit of time to walk the walk. Wholeheartedlly agree that M Knights is treading quicksand at the moment. Contracts these days = leverage ( or none ) in payout, thats about it.

Would have though Woosha on shakey ground too
-
Whilst I certainly agre with the sentiment it is contradictory...the whole point is to have that much white....to offer the contrast ( theory ). The backs of jumpers need to be different, one light one dark . I dont think we can wear a darker short as that invariably is the home teams priveledge. ive suggested a dark panel to match thejumper as an idea though. All things considered theres still a hell of a lot of white on the back of the Dogs away jumper....which again Id suggest is the idea.

Port to sack Mark Williams Power Outage - Williams to go Well here we go. The first casualty of the year is ... Mark Williams, or is it really Port who comes out of this second best ? Laidley will take over for the rest of the year. Rumours are around that Chocco might be Windy Hill bound in some capacity....or GWS...or Upper Kumbucter West. Mrs McGillycucky ( secretary and chief scone baker, as well as runner for the seconds ) has always had a thing for Choc apparently !! Let the Coaching Merry-Go-Round commence lol Will we see others squirming in their coach's boxes ? What do we all make of this ?
-
U18's wrap up from BP Probably doesnt say a lot of anything new other than as I read it there will indeed be some pickings for clubs other than GC and GWS with Barry noting theres a little more depth than originally suggested. A good chance to selectively top up.

. something like this ?

happy to disagree. lets watch and see

So what youre doing is looking at his early form and not current. Dont get too carried away , in either direction by official stats. He has been decidedly instrumental in many assists this year, granted at VFL level but if thats whre he's been playing then thats what I have to go by. The nature of his game wont have changed much for being in the magoos. He is a rahter unselfish player who looks to the teams advantage not his own. Im not describing his impact in any unrealistic manner. Also a big diference will be now he will be absolutely encouraged to do his most damage by allowing him to play in a productive manner and position unlike being dragged or pushed away from goals in case he scored too many. He is now let of the leash. Watts , Bennell and Jetts will lift for is presence and creativity. I fuly expect Bates especially to be the recipient of a couple of passed slammed on his chest. If Knights isnt concerned than he's a fool. Esendons back line is struggling and he ( K) doesnt need a bit of unknown wow factor coming into play. But even if I tone down my expectations to say 2 to LJ with 3 assists thats stilll a difference of 5 for him being there. The introduction of Jurrah forces Knights hand ( and its not that full of trumps if any anyway ). The dynamics of who is now played on what or Watt(s) lol , must change. Bring in Sylvia must also up the ante as Col is a bone fide 5 bagger on his day. But for mine its Jurrah's ability to create something out of absolutely nothing,to be able to slot a ball where there is no rational path is the real headache for Knights. Essendon supporters know it. This is a game as much about where your head's at as much as anything and the Bummers might just get spooked a bit having the Wizard against them !!
