shocking year for football. definitely want lynch. the idea of he and tomlinson coming in - preferably with the rumoured a+ mid joining too - then we're looking like a far more competitive side in the long-term.
-
according to leigh matthews on yesterday's pregame - per percentage, our goalkicking accuracy is the worst. best is port.

geez, dogs would be super impressive with stef feeding their on-ball division. the question is what on earth can they give up for him? lachie hunter and first rounder in 2015, 2016? even that would barely satisfy the bears. things are in a parlous state in queensland. no one wants to play up there.

Caro reckons they'll get one at the end of the first round - in other words, Caro has been told that the afl intend to grant one to them at the end of the first round and could she please write a story about it? When was the last time a football journo broke a story that they weren't gifted by a high up within the afl or club organisation? Fairfax investigative journos did all the leg work for the peptides stuff and Caro wrote opinion pieces, Robbo fluffed for the Bombers... When was the last genuine news breaker?

And now he's out with the flu.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
whatwhat say what replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
tomlinson would be the perfect complement to frost - a young key position swingman who can pinch hit in the ruck. one forward, one back. and for a second rounder? bargain. -
that looks like this season and probably most of next off for luke parker. truly awful injury.
-
not if they can't find a centre half back, and a running defender. they're going to need to give up quite a bit to land treloar and aish, if they rumours are true. paul seedsman and a first rounder ain't gonna cut it.

it's a shame, as he's pretty much exactly what we need.

He's more of the same tho - another mid-tall half back flanker. We already have Garland, Howe, Grimes, Lumumba and Cross playing that role - do we need another?
-
i really like it. i like the mfc interlocked logo on the away jumper, and this just looks like a version of same.

Some speculation on big footy: http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/index.php?posts/40177772/ Looks great to me. All class.

THE SAGA CONTINUES - WADA APPEALS
whatwhat say what replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
certain bomber-involved person i know was convinced this was a big deal. she clearly has been swallowing the kool-aid. -
he will be tho. saad has been so good, playing in a seriously poor side. is it wrong that i kinda sorta want cripps to win just to make hulk angry so he crushes even harder over the offseason and into 2016?

Pretty sure 7:30 Report revealed this - along with SMS messages quoted - about two years back. -
Want to keep him. He is easily in our top four or five defenders.
-
Throw the cheque book at him. Would be perfectly okay with Dangerfield and Hogan being comfortably or highest paid players. He's a bonafide star of the competition.
-
If he goes to a good side he'll be such an important player off half back. I'd like to keep him but like everyone think that $600k is a bit rich - but still reckon he'll definitely get offered it. The question is to who and what're we going to get?
-
Der-Wayne Russell declared on 3aw about three weeks that it is going to happen. There seems to be a general expectation that it is going to happen.
-
carlisle to the blues has been the hot word for some time. hope they enjoy the two years he's banned from playing... wouldn't touch any of the 'bomber 34' with a bargepole.
-
if we can get him, i say go for it. today is the perfect example of what a tall and mobile forward set up can achieve - unfortunately it just wasn't for us! a forward line of: HF: Watts - Dawes - Kent F: Lynch - Hogan - Garlett would be a tough match up for most sides. with subs gone next year and rotations likely to be limited to 10 in-quarter, athletic tall forwards who compete will be vitally important in terms of ball movement as kicks to contests will become more and more the norm.
-
don't want anyone from the bombers. don't want john butcher. don't want charlie dixon (for the money he'll get). don't want henderson. don't want tarrant. ambivalent about yarran; would want it to be fairly 'cheap' trade.

Box Hill Hawks v Casey Scorpions
whatwhat say what replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
he's been a terrible disappointment.
