  1. aren't dunkley and baker only recent hub residents? doubt they'd come straight into the 22 brayshaw for polec; if you believe the scum rumours, one is on $600-650k and the other is on $700-750k i'd take a $100k hit on our cap space to have polec over brayshaw in our side i very much doubt whether north will entertain the trade; dropping both him and sideshow bob this round is a massive statement from shaw isn't it great that they'll undoubtedly both destroy is in two games time...
  2. peptides are missing a third of their salary cap hooker, fantasia, stringer, laverde, ambrose, daniher, heppell are all automatic best 22 for them we have no such excuses
  3. good questions, well answered, other than when he said that you don't want to look at one game in isolation while i agree with mahoney that for the most part we've been competitive in most games this year, it's not one game in isolation that is the issue - we see the same things happening time and time again the constant inability to convert dominant f50 entries into scores is something that has clearly been a big issue for some time now, which is also something that the club has addressed previously directly to fans and within media circles - it's hardly some big secret that that and our inability to deal with a scintilla of pressure is a constant his support for goodwin is admirable and obviously necessary, but it just confirms in my mind that he can't be the footy ops boss - or whatever the title is - as goodwin goes into the final two years of his contract in 2021
  4. Viney won’t get us first round compo
  5. peptides look like us; get ball, bomb ball, turnover ball, stand still, see ball go whizzing past you at the rate of knots unlike us they have a litany of injuries to their best 22
  6. frost with some classic frostball
  7. couple of classic frostball moments
  8. Straight swap for Polec
  9. should go at the end of the year we need someone who has experienced sustained success as our gm of football ops i'd love clarkson to part ways with the hawks and i'd be in his ear big time about getting handed the reins
  10. sad to see really, should've retired end of last year - did he go on in the hope of getting to 300?
  11. if that was the case why were we constantly kicking to the pockets where fritsch and hannan were leading? either our players are dumb or our coaching staff is or a combination of both i lean towards c
  12. OUT: jones, harmes, brayshaw, hannan, t mac IN: bennell, tomlinson, avb, anb, jetta sparrow to roll through the midfield again in place of brayshaw's rotation B: Lockhart - May - Lever HB: Salem - O Mac - Hibberd C : Langdon - Petracca - Tomlinson HF: Melksham - Jackson - Bennell F: Fritsch - Weideman - ANB Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Viney I/c: AVB - Sparrow - Pickett - Jetta we're not making finals, but we've got to get thru this 'hub' period but i would expect we will see something more from rivers and jordan debuting some time soon
  13. he doesn't belong in our forward line anymore - we must build around weideman, jackson, pickett with the likes of bennell, avb, melksham, hannan offering flank support he doesn't belong in our backline - we have invested heavily in may and lever, o mac is faster that t mac, hibberd's season has shown that he belongs at this level again, salem is our best ball user playing wing / half-back, and lockhart has already taken over from jetta he doesn't belong in the midfield - far too slow and cumbersome to play wing, can't bend over to pick up the ball, and can't jump in the ruck two more years to go of a pretty hefty contract...
  14. melksham going solo against three pears...where are his teammates?
  15. reckon we'll be ten goals down at half time complete training drill for the pear
  16. let's just remember we currently have one - ONE! - of our ostensible best 22 not playing through injury...
  17. harmes has gone from a regularly reliable kick to target to bombing it every time the zone defense is a MESS currently
  18. zone defense atrocious already and as for may of course giving away the free on the 50...
  19. it's felt like that for a loooooooooong time
  20. target is $1m by christmas, yes?
  21. weren't scores level at the end of q3 in round 1, 2019, and then they ran all over the top of us in the last with their bevy of young talent time? i want to see harmes go straight to boak - he's been back to being their best mid for the last two seasons after being deployed as a half forward for a couple of years previous how do we stop charlie? don't let him get the ball - if we win the contested footy, get it forward, kick goals with our mountain of f50 entries, it'll go a loooooooooong way to us winning
  22. Sparrow has essentially been playing as a mid at vfl level when fit and in the scratch matches this year, yeah? I’d expect Harmes or Brayshaw to roll back as the 7th defender and Sparrow to rotate forward and midfield
  23. Pear fans are real football nuffies Honestly as a club they’re not that removed from us; past success v local league success, scarred by horrific grand final wallopings, consistently disappoint supporters
  24. arguably bog in two wins for them
