  1. lol 'a chance' ralphy is such a loser
  2. sam gives him guaranteed certainty about his future until his career has finished, and until his eldest child is about to finish primary school it won't stop the speculation but - like the trac and claz contracts - gives us some degree of control over the conversation
  3. who, harmes? his kicking ain't the greatest... definitely not watts - fritsch is twice the player he ever was
  4. agreed and, ultimately, the contracts ain't worth much these days - if at any stage he wants to go to wa / sa to be closer to family, trades can always be negotiated
  5. fair whack o change https://www.afl.com.au/news/1341236 7 year deal offered, which would make him one of the highest paid players in the game
  6. i think the more pertinent q is can we carry jv, clarry, trac, sparrow, langford, fritsch, melksham in our best 23 going forward - i count 7 players for 3 roles jv / sparrow should be in direct competition for the defensive small half-forward; sparrow got destroyed by jaicos yesterday oliver / langford are big boys who aren't quick and, i know it goes against the grain, but i'm yet to be awed by langford's kicking or decision making; his impact on the game certainly doesn't compare with oliver's debut year as a comparison petracca / fritsch simply don't work hard defensively, while melksham is all effort and cameo outputs in his dotage
  7. he's lost all confidence his best form is when he's given a pure locked-in role against a tall oppo
  8. meanwhile, are richard and martin flanagan the best writing brothers oztraya has ever had? i can't think of two related people who are so eloquent with their words https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/i-love-tassie-footy-and-we-need-a-team-but-the-afl-s-stadium-ultimatum-takes-a-special-kind-of-arrogance-20250609-p5m5x8.html
  9. i would not have thought so... what makes you think that there is something due this month?
  10. petty role as a forward is to compete in the air and not allow intercept marks; he failed in that regard yesterday he's a terrific defender and i firmly believe that our backline is looking strong with petty - turner - lever beyond 2026 once may has retired petty is not the issue from a forward line perspective; jvr and el jefe and their drop-off and / or lack of development is a far bigger issue
  11. i think the important thing is that it gives the afl medja something to focus on that is not the appalling decision making of and then complete unaccountability for the ineptitude of the maggots officiating the game
  12. since sideshow bob broke down in 2022 we have tried for: larkey lynch allen waterman they don't grow on trees
  13. 6: Gawn 5: Oliver 4: May 3: Fritsch 2: Bowey 1: Langdon
  14. That’s a chance
  15. No one from the vfl deserves to be promoted No change unless you want to give one of Lindsay or Langford a rest / run as a sub
  16. Langdon on Naicos ‘worked’ but I’m not sure it ‘worked’ They were just cleaner than us with the ball in hand
  17. Dogga at the puddy Tatts would make me so annoyed
  18. On train from Malvern; filthy I would guess 10 to 1 their way
  19. keep koz, get dogga back, win 2026 premiership
  20. not remotely confident
  21. where's daniels said this? he's been hot-to-trot that flagmantle can make the deal happen without giving up dogga (which seems unlikely to me)
  22. i would argue we have been consistent for the majority of the last five years... we were consistently good 2021-23 we've been consistently average in 2024-25
  23. should start at 3, could go as high as 5 crude in the extreme
  24. if either of them play afl again i'm going to assume we have a lot of injuries
  25. rhett had dubbed it his 'white whale', hadn't he?
