2009 ReDrafted
at the time i think i wanted $cully and trengrove at 1 and 2, talia at 11, and then to call the filth's bluff and pick luke ball at 18 i was in the room when whoever it was doing the draft - i'm pretty sure it was vlad - announced that we'd picked 'luke......tapscott' for about half a second i thought we'd shown some backbone and not kowtowed to eddie i'm with you @Earl Hood - wanted hurley at 1 in 08 but i think the thought at the time was that we'd gone frawley the year over the forward in jack riewoldt, so it really was a choice btw watts and nic nat c'est la vie

2009 ReDrafted
the hate for $cully from the majority of mfc supporters is mostly pantomime, isn't it? i have always enjoyed the fact that he played 31 senior games for us - the quintessential mfc number? trengove was a real shame - he was outstanding at sanfl level in his junior year, oozed leadership, and was placed in an environment where he was called on to do too much too soon; his first two seasons showed so much promise when he came back he'd gone from a 65m player (run 15, kick it 50) to a player who could barely kick over 40 metres and could barely rise out of what looked to be a slow jog injuries are cruel

Demonland's Best/Favourite Demon 1988-2020 (Game 2)
green for me; didn't walk out on us to get a longer deal, a better user of the pill than bruce, whose ball drop was horrific mind you, if brent guerra hadn't buried green into the carpark against the aints when he was in electric form, smashing his shoulder in the process, bruce was showing the hallmarks of having a star season that year never recovered

Best Traded In & Out MFC players
brett lovett was a supplementary or under 19s at hawks, yeah? i don't think of him as recycled, and neither do i with farmer - they didn't play senior footy for any other club before ours i don't think... a few of those listed are before my time, so i'll go: brett lovett would be my #1 if he was considered 'recycled' jeff white brian wilson peter moore bernie vince clint bizzell peter rohde darren bennett anthony ingerson brent moloney peter vardy at #11 who comes in if lovett isn't 'recycled'

Coronavirus: AFL & MFC
this is the bad news message before they announce that the afl will be going 'full bernie' and taking all revenue in the game, distributing it evenly between 18 clubs in order for them to survive about time the afl went full socialist rather than the half-measures of salary cap, soft cap, and other some restrictive measures
-
Lynden Dunn
we developed him for about 165 games! i was a massive fan - not so much for his football, which was patchy at best, but cos he was a genuinely great guy

Top 10 MFC Indigenous Players
when you look at that, we really haven't had many indigenous players in comparison with other clubs, have we? i'd go: aaron davey nev jetta jeff farmer eddie jackson matthew whelan andy lovell jeff garlett sean charles liam jurrah austin wonnaemirri if may, kozzy pickett, and bedford become regular senior players they'll rocket into the top 10

List squads down to 35 - who survives the chop?
yeah, it's not good is it they are saying that players will be available as 'supplementary' players in the need of circumstances but how that will work in a practrical sense i have no idea a reduction to 35 on a list would definitely mean that you wouldn't be willing to 'carry' injured players
