  1. in a desperate desire to get around from the yes-he-is-no-he's-not with hunter, pre-empting the 'what are they saying at brougham place' but this stuck out to me on bigfooty: i think we'll get a very different side to last year given georgiadies and marshall are definitely out, and dixon possibly too, they might have to bring in hayes to partner lycett and go with finlayson as a forward - funnily enough, i think he's actually their most damaging ruckman, just by dint of his aerobic capacity as much as anything rozzee, butters, jhf, with boak as the old stager is a pretty handy inside midfield combo, with a fair few rotations that they push through too it'll be interesting to see if we go with the high level of different options at stoppages or the tried-and-true trio of oliver, petracca, and viney i suppose trac depends on how his ankle recovers if petty misses, sideshow bald or plugger mac in to replace?
  2. marshall is definitely out with concussion, but will dixon play?
  3. what's watson's defensive workrate like? what about his skillset? i understand he's pretty zippy and can fly high, but how does the other side of his game compare?
  4. 6: viney 5: rivers 4: petracca 3: brayshaw 2: oliver 1: hibberd
  5. felt like a professional win to me our centre clearances when the core three - oliver, petracca, viney - were in there didn't seem to be working very well
  6. inject it into my veins
  7. beautiful day for footy, shame it's not a 2:10pm start
  8. yep, but it's still a mystery as to what he's going to do with it once he gets it
  9. cos he absolutely poleaxed prestia last year and got four weeks based on the jvr judgement would have been 6+ if he was an mfc player
  10. puddy tatts are missing 10 of the premiership 23 and this is the first time they've played without either one of dangerfield or selwood since they recruited the former
  11. i've found the only stable environment is via telstra tv
  12. balta reminds me quite a bit of frost - yr never quite sure what he's going to do
  13. he's a consistent player who is there or thereabouts in terms of selection in terms of his role, he's behind the main midfield / wing options, not a pressure forward, and not a rebound nor a lockdown defender it's either him or sparrow ahead of harmes for mine in terms of midfield rotation, and i can understand why they prefer the physicality of sparrow
  14. Pravda just took the aap feed - https://www.afl.com.au/news/922801/young-dee-learns-fate-after-suspension-appeal No columnist would dare touch it, plus Barrett's sliding doors yarn is submitted on a Wednesday evening / Thursday morning so didn't comment on it specifically but the mro process in totality: https://www.afl.com.au/news/922162/if-vossy-s-playing-success-came-under-lethal-then
  15. puddy tatts? gc17? bloods pear us bears footscray? crom? filth puddy tatts missing 10 of their premiership 23 from last year, and this will be the first game since they recruited clangerfilled that neither he nor duckwood are running out there for them
  16. no way they'll announce it til afl 360 is going i'm predicting 7:42
  17. he's a board member he'll be told to refrain from comment in future
  18. interesting stat from champion data (via david king) - van rooyen is the #1 target in the competition at getting a goal from his targeted entries; 55% of the time
  19. when do we confirm whether or not we're appealing?
  20. it's not often these days that kids play primary roles as defenders in their final underage year - the last two i can think of who did so are trent rivers (who was moved to a defender role from midfield) and isaac quaynor if kynan brown can have the sort of impact that those two boys have had since their debut seasons then we'll be very, very happy
  21. stuff that it should have been straight to the tribunal or no charge to face 2 weeks is just...silly
