only changes for us are viney and brown in for melksham and weed? footscray's side has three reasonable changes, presumably all front of centre - hannan, ugly-hogan, schache all in

maynard is a ripper and is entering his peak years as a footballer filth needs 'points' to get daicos our first two picks in 2021 draft - likely to in that 33-45 bracket (brisbane's second rounder, hawthorn's third rounder) - would give them another 1000 points to bundle with their own scant selections, which are likely to be in that 40-50 bracket (footscray's second rounder, their own third rounder, and adelaide and freo's third rounder) i'd happily pony up a late second round pick / high third round pick in order to get maynard at the dees in 2022

https://www.afl.com.au/news/651290/faux-tough-guy-goodwin-backs-fairest-fritsch "People look for things to talk about and clearly this is a thing that people have wanted to talk about, but it's not an issue from my perspective. "Bayley's the cleanest, fairest player that I've come across and he'll continue to be that way. "It's his nature, that's the way he plays his footy."

weed likely to stay at the mfc according to the little paper https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/moneyball-follow-all-the-latest-trade-contract-and-draft-news-across-the-afl/news-story/8397bd64736f64abd49486e491a70227 DEMONS AIM TO KEEP THEIR HOOKS IN WEIDEMAN Melbourne remains confident key forward Sam Weideman wants to stay at the club for the long-term despite being pushed out of the senior side. The agile goal kicker is out of contract at season’s end but has not yet flagged any plans to explore a move to a rival club at the end of the year. The Demons have strong belief Weideman has a bright future at the club even though he has been leapfrogged by new recruit Ben Brown and remains behind Tom McDonald and Luke Jackson in the forward line pecking order. He has been out of the team since the Round 13 loss to Collingwood but the Dees are content the contract discussions will lead to his signature even if he is yet to put pen to paper. Collingwood would be a natural fit but does not have the salary cap room to accommodate Weideman, while Gold Coast is hunting another key forward and has put its first draft pick on the table to help secure a quality marking target. Weideman, 25, has booted only three goals from five games this season and averaged eight disposals a match, having failed to grab his chance when he was in the senior side. The average form means even if he did demand a release he would not command a considerable bounty in return at the trade table. The Demons brought in Brown from North Melbourne and have been thrilled with McDonald’s output this year after failing to trade him last year. The Demons have done an outstanding job tying up their priority targets this year re-signing stars Clayton Oliver, Christian Petracca, Max Gawn and Christian Salem.

his body has broken down repeatedly with soft tissue injuries in 2019-21 - i think he's more likely to retire than be picked up by another club

dean kent is even more 'left side only' than michael hibberd

It seems the versatility and upside of Andrew is going to be as attractive as that of Jackson, albeit with less exposed form?

Quality of aints v pear is abysmal Perfect conditions under the roof too

that's awful news re dusty; he's mostly had a blessed run of lack of any injury throughout his career was it tom lonergan who lost a kidney after a clash with brad miller?
-
i think it's onto it's fourth name change since then - hopefully alphabet soup stadium holds no fears for us in the final round of the regular season (or beyond if we're scheduled to play a fans-free 'away' final there)
-
riewoldt has been, and remains, one of the best key forwards in the competition for a long, long time we picked frawley the pick before he was selected, i seem to recall?

Riewoldt a helluva game in his 300th

Tigers just hanging about; Bears can’t quite put em away

you'd think avb will be perfect for the wet conditions - no frills, hard over the ball and in the clinches, loves a physical tackle

if i never hear the killers again during football coverage it'll be too soon

If they qualify for a home final they will request - and be granted - a home final
