  1. new contract vs no new contract?
  2. we're a free to air favourite, which is important for repucom sunday 3.20pm arguably more favourable than saturday nites for ch 7
  3. i thought woewodin may be a chance to debut as replacement for sparrow, but no chanting announcement as yet makes it less rather than more likely
  4. should've been brought in years ago
  5. this is gil's legacy - started with the goodes booing racism scandal, ended with hawthorn's racism investigation scandal
  6. official north statement: https://www.nmfc.com.au/news/1333348/club-statement-alastair-clarkson
  7. boy oh boy wowee https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/north-melbourne-coach-alastair-clarkson-to-step-away-from-football-indefinitely-20230518-p5d9bh.html?btis
  8. is nev still playing for the filth's vfl club?
  9. didn't the peptides kick the harmes' tyres last year, and then brad scott failed to meet him for a chat? with kynan brown likely to come in, plus a high-end pick (or two?), i'd be sad to see harmes go but to me he's there or thereabouts along with jordon for a spot in our best 23 so it would make sense if he was looking for security as his contract with the mfc comes to an end also, the end of this season is is 'pre-agent' year, so it would make sense from that perspective too
  10. surely he's going to be 'pup'
  11. afl members hasn't gone on sale yet either
  12. that was a fab watch
  13. he's the master of saying nothing
  14. the three round 19 games at marvel are: peptides vs footscray (likely friday nite?) bluebaggers vs meth coke (likely saturday twilight?) the aints vs north (like sunday twilight?) three fizzers when you consider the bears vs puddy tatts (gabba), pear vs filth (the oval), and our match-up vs crom (the g) are arguably - ten rounds out - the most 'attractive' games
  15. i didn't hear that on 360; did he say it elsewhere? sounds like lycett and teakle will be used as a tall combo to battle grawndy
  16. hard to believe it wasn't 2 weeks tbh
  17. four umpires isn't working there's even more inconsistency within games i'd personally be trying to make them 100% professional and reduce to two
  18. hard disagree with that bolded section our key forwards - as opposed to, in some cases, tall forwards - are locked in place at this point in time: fritsch - he's our primary key forward gawn - when he rotates forward he's vital with his ability to mark / halve the contest grundy - nowhere near as dangerous, but can rotate forward van rooyen - we go to him, we get a goal on more than 50% of the occasions pickett - he's our best pressure player i50 chandler - he's our second best pressure player i50 spargo - he's our best user going i50 that's six key forwards; add in petty as another tall option and we're a) scoring more than any other team and b) spreading our goal kicking beautifully
  19. feels like a higher grading being given to punish us for getting jvr off
  20. the way the bears play them seemed to do the job
  21. in a desperate desire to get around from the yes-he-is-no-he's-not with hunter, pre-empting the 'what are they saying at brougham place' but this stuck out to me on bigfooty: i think we'll get a very different side to last year given georgiadies and marshall are definitely out, and dixon possibly too, they might have to bring in hayes to partner lycett and go with finlayson as a forward - funnily enough, i think he's actually their most damaging ruckman, just by dint of his aerobic capacity as much as anything rozzee, butters, jhf, with boak as the old stager is a pretty handy inside midfield combo, with a fair few rotations that they push through too it'll be interesting to see if we go with the high level of different options at stoppages or the tried-and-true trio of oliver, petracca, and viney i suppose trac depends on how his ankle recovers if petty misses, sideshow bald or plugger mac in to replace?
  22. marshall is definitely out with concussion, but will dixon play?
